But songs like make me so should have never been made! Awful song and I'm a big Yellowcard fan. It was a good album but not their greatest work in my opinion.
I agree ***** they really tried to stretch themselves beyond pop punk after making similar albums for a while. The album definitely did more good than bad. Make Me So wasn't that bad Adam Taylor It had some really inventive violin and synth work. the harmonies on the end of the last couple hooks were sick, as was the guitar work from the bridge onward. Crash The Gates was the weakest track. The verses were good but the chorus was so tiresome. I don't really have any complaints with the rest of the album because it was all good.
'Make Me So' was the closest song to YC's pop punk style. Kinda weird of you saying that, but I respect your opinion. I agree with you @StarCrossedPimp 'Lift A Sail' is a very mature album, but of course you can't please everyone. The same thing happened with 'Lights And Sounds', which is an absolute a-ma-zing record.
