It was the end of the year and Christmas was coming up, I visited my dad in the hospital and was cycling home, feeling rather helpless in the situation of my dad being sick, I saw the christmas lights in the trees in the city switching on, while I heard the lines: "Lights will guide you home.... and I will try to fix you" on my headphones. Tears were running instantly. 2 months later I was cycling the same road and the christmas lights were being taking out of the trees. ...My dad passed away a few hours before. Still getting goosebumbs everytime I hear this song and thinking about it.
I know there is an increase of awesomeness in the world when one of my top five favorite bands covers a song of another one of my top five favorite bands. Excellent!
Saw their last big performance in Frankfurt this week... My first and last Yellowcard concert. Depressing but I still want to thank them for everything they gave me over the past years. It was amazing. Bless you guys ♥
Fix You is one of my all time favorite songs and I'm a really huge Coldplay fan. This cover is amazing, there are no words to describe it! Great cover, one of the best I've heard!
Awesome song produced by an awesome band and covered by another awesome band. I love both versions, but this makes me feel relaxed in a quite special way.
I've been a fan of yellowcard since their demos and early Eps and i love all of their new stuff. honestly i think they've gotten even better with age and haven't really shown much change. this album certainly doesn't beat Ocean Avenue, or Lights and Sounds. but it shows that Yellowcard is one of those bands that sticks to their old style but never sounds like the same songs over and over each one draws me in and i cant stop listening. This album is the best album I've listened to all year.
I like the idea of doing a cover. I love Coldplay and Yellowcard. It was a nice song to Ryan's voice and a nice song to add Yellowcard's violin feeling. Loved it
Wow. This is definitely one of the best covers I've ever heard. It's so great they did this as a bonus track instead of another YC song. I mean, of course, that song would certainly be awesome but in this way the album is even stronger, there's no eleventh track which is "not really part of the record"...the real bonus is just this great cover.
You guys are so amazing.. You have helped me through so much. Your music touches my feelings exactly. You did an amazing cover of this. You are my heroes.
I'm listening to this song because of my boyfriend. I know he's hurt from his past, and now he's reluctant if we could ever make it together. He was too caught up in his thoughts. He was afraid that all the failures that happened before would happen to us too. I didn't know what to do to assure him that I do love him and wont leave. But he realized why there were only failures in the past. If he didn't went through all those failures. Then he wouldn't find his success with me. I love you Arthur
Drums are sick! good work LP! and the backing vocals!! ...damned the whole song really got me! you did it again YC!!! ♥ you till death :D You're the owner of my hearth (that's right! a pop punk band is the owner of my heart cause i had really bad experiences with girls)
All the comments here and none of them really hit on the main point: I don't care who sings it, this song almost always brings tears to my eyes. Just beautiful.
This song is really beautiful. I liked it even better than the original (but since I am no Coldplay fan and an avid-Yellowcard fan, I guess it is kind-of biased). This song has the music and the words that I want to say. This song is me.
