Great to have you back Jill I’ve missed your wig chats. I can’t get any of the wig styling /conditioning products you recommended in the UK without a very hefty postage fee unfortunately. Also my husband of 47 years never compliments me now no matter how good I look, but he’s very quick to tell me I look a mess once I get home , take off my wig and ‘dress down for comfort’ ! - he expects me to be glamorous ALL of the time

I actually had subscribed to them years ago when my friends mom went through chemo & actually went into their shop there in Dallas & she was amazed at the place and all the help she got..my brother actually lives outside Dallas & WANT to make a trip there to see them.. they are so funny and down to earth. And I just bought a gently used wig from a wig sister and she said I remind her of you.. I was flattered!! Love ALL your helpful videos.. wigs and skin/makeup. Can’t wait for them!!

Hi Jill I ❤️your videos! You are very authentic and honest in your reviews! Wigs do change your life because they boost one’s self confidence and for me, they make me look and feel younger! They also save you time in situations where you only have minutes to get ready! I started wearing wigs after a cancerous (pre-melanoma) mole was removed from my scalp. I just ordered a Knock off Editor’s pick wig from FB, after seeing Taz’s unauthorized video, that the seller posted. I haven’t cancelled it because I am curious to its quality and how it compared to the $400 price tag from more reputable sellers (distributors). I really love your makeup! I look forward to watching your tutorials again!

My daughters took me into Mimi's and Misty was so patient letting me explore wigs for the first time. Now I'm hooked on watching you rock wigs and makeup!

I too don’t like it when you wear shorter wigs they ride up your neck. So, I usually just put on a turtleneck shirt or sweater which seems to help. But, thxks for hairspray that has a stronger hold. Will try...Loving the makeup too Jill..👍
Hi Jill, Yep, I totally get that "duck tail" thing happening to me on my short wigs. A stylist (wig store owner) recommended I use conditioner on the back of wig where that happens. She said leave it soak for a few hours (don't let it touch the lace features), then rinse. She also said steaming helps. I haven't tried either yet, but plan to soon. Also, you mentioned one time, how you wish you RW shaded cappuccino wasn't so light in the front --- well, I have a tip for you. I do this all the time to tame the over-bright blonde fibers. Mix 1 part India ink (I use brown, sepia, and sometimes black) with 2 to 3 parts rubbing alchohol. Then I paint the fibers to tone them down. It's permanent, so it doesn't wash out over time. I wash my wigs st least twice before I do this to take out some of the silicone "newness" as it makes the paint apply more smoothly. Sometimes it makes the fibers stiff, but washing the wig after the paint dries brings it back to normal. It has worked great on most of my wigs. Only 1 ROP wig didn't take to this method. I don't know why. It's an experimental process, so try it on something you don't really care about first. Good luck! And yes, I watched to the end. 🙂 Happy Sunday to you. --Cathy

Hi Jill, I have been enjoying your wig 411. Just a note, and you probably know this, I mix some downy fab softener with water in a spray bottle for my leave in conditioner and it seems to work well for me. You have been a great help to me on my wig journey. ❤❤❤Deena
Hi Jill so glad you're up and running again. I too saw Misty and Kim's video regarding the wig grip and cutting around the ears. Yes, definitely more comfortable. Especially as I wear glasses for close work. I did sew the cut edges though to help in case of fraying. Have a look at JR Parker. She is so beautiful. Mine is on back order. Jill, I ordered the very pricey The Wig Fix by The Renatural cause of the same reasons you gave for problem wig grips. The Fix is super comfortable, holds any wig style and because it’s a clear silicone does NOT show through. Also I just switched brands for shorter wigs to Gabor’s Soft Romance and little sister True Demure....the napes stay flat to my neck all day long and I even leave Demure on later at night because I forget she’s on my head. Hope these tips help. I know from listening to you and others I probably won’t own any more HD wigs except my RW’s Maximum Impact. Also your hubby sounds like a great guy👍🏻. Both the eating problems, have you ever thought that eating wheat may be the answer...I have Celiac and your bathroom symptoms sound all to familiar. Great video🥰

So far, it doesn’t bunch up by my cheeks, it falls down once I started ruffling it with my hands. I am happy with it. Ps you look amazing in the one you have on now.
Prayer Warrior it is very comfortable. No wefts to feel. It is like putting a stocking cap. Meaning, it’s not as tight but it conforms well, doesn’t itch me, and is very breathable. I have Flirt Alert as well, I don’t have the original Editors pick. Compared to the flirt alert- I could feel the weft lines and it seems bulkier than EP Elite. I hope this helps.

I get hot, but really want to try a hand tied cap however I've asked a seasoned wig wearer / video maker if hand tied is hotter and you mentioned "breathable". I'm used to always wearing a cotton bandanna or thin nylon cap on my head anyway, but not with hair on them 😅

I also love watching Mimi’s Wig boutique. Your eyeshadow looks great. Ignite in Palm Springs blonde is a sophisticated wig, I would have bought it but I worried my head’s too big and my dark sides would poke out. Yes, I watched to the end, but I’m in Australia. The black background is fine.

Enjoy your channel. I just recently discovered wigs because I was tired of messing with my hair and then have it not looking good - terminal bad hair day. So I started out thinking I could just get some cheap wigs because it didn’t really matter. Wrong! I just last week ordered my first Raquel Welch wig and got it two days ago. What a difference between this one and the cheap ones! It is beautiful and looks real. I haven’t worn it yet because I want to play with the styling, but I’m excited! I use a wig grip but still put Bobby pins here and there because it makes it feel more secure. My big fear is the wig grip sliding up and the wig going with it! So I’m looking forward to seeing the grip you bought. And I laughed so hard about the bathroom after dinner thing. I have that problem, too. It is better now - my doc put me on Colestipol, which has the strange side effect of helping with tummy troubles. It has been a Godsend! Anyway, I watched until the end!!
Marlene Olson - I just started wearing wigs for the same reasons! My wig grip slides up as well. I was told to try spraying the back of my hair with hairspray and putting the wig grip over it while it’s still wet to “glue” the wig grip down. I also purchased some elastic with silicone to tack onto the wig grip.

I watched till the end! Maybe too late for the contest. I just discovered Mimis wigs this week. Can’t wait to get to Dallas to visit their store. You might try the wig spray by Brandywine. It is an aerosol. I love it! I use the ABH foundation. It is the best I have found so far. I love wig grips. I do get the frustration about bunching behind the ears. I only have one so will purchase another before I try cutting on it. But love the tip.
Great video Jill, thank you for your informative videos. Firstly, the link for both of the products are the same so you may want to fix that. I did watch the entire video while having my morning coffee. 😊 I have to wear either a wig or a topper and struggle with both. I live on the Gulf Coast of Florida and it’s so hot and humid in the summer that I simply can’t wear a wig so very glad the temps are finally dropping. I can wear toppers in the summer, but can’t find one that truly blends with my bio hair. I’ve found my best bet is trying to find an open weft wig and making a topper out of it. Your videos have helped me get over the stigma of wearing wigs and toppers. 😊♥️♥️

I have the original Editors Pick and honestly mine does not look like yours or Taz's or Nicha's or any of the other wig reviewer's. It's extremely poofy on top and I tried everything from steaming it to thinning it a bit and it still is not as nice as others. Maybe it's because it's dark brown? Have no idea. Anyway I won't be purchasing the new version as its pricey even with a coupon. I did watch this video until the very end.
I get overheated with just a bit of heat so I sweat and the it stays melts, not pretty. So I'm forced to use wig grips and I have a Milano but it is hot. So excited to see what you got

I LOVE Kim & Misty too! You can call or email them and they will mail you a wig. I saw Kim's customized Jolie RU-vid and fell in love with it. Misty customized it exactly the same for me, packed and shipped it beautifully and it arrived just as I expected it. I will definitely order all my wigs through them!!

Oh gosh girl... LOL I loved what your Hubby said! Bless him! My wigs are still in the "approval stage". Meaning, I feel I need to have his approval before I feel confident. So far, he's only tolerant. Pooh. Now, my hubby isn't mean, but I can tell, he's looking at me with a not convinced look. Oh, I'm not letting him stop me, No! However, it would be nice to have him just say, "You look pretty" without him having that feeling I get when he isn't quite sold on something I'm doing. Now, wig grips - I have to try something. That glue situation is making me a tad nuts. I'm like you, where It all comes off after I get home. Then I'm there, all bare and with a glue head... LOL Not a pretty look. Then I run to the tub to wash out the glue. ALL so much Work!! Maybe I'm missing something. A simplified step? I'm open to suggestions! Welcome Back! You sound happy.
