You could plumb an air line from the garage to the basement so you could vapor blast in the basement.

Good idea. I actually thought about putting a screw compressor in the basement, but it is already full of other stuff LOL.

LOL. We definitely considered that, however we like that type of noise. Better than little yapper dogs (I have a dog but can't stand owners that let them bark all day).

I would hate to ruin the coating with grinding and welding sparks. Always wanted a nice floor though.

Wow that is really awesome - congratulations brother! I'm so happy for you and your family, the house and yard look absolutely beautiful! We've been in an apartment for years and I rent a two car detached garage up the road and it's been really taxing, especially since I have no electric, power, or lights at the garage so everything I do is with hand tools, flashlights, and battery-powered tools/equipment. It's getting really tiresome trying to work on stuff and get projects completed! We've been looking for a house but the market is so crazy and expensive right now it's been stressful to say the least (which I know you're too familiar with having just gone through the process yourself ... LOL). Anyways, I can't wait to see what you end up doing with the garage/workshop! Quick question - what product do you use for the cinder block as a hole filler? I'm actually looking to do that in my garage as that will definitely make a difference with the lighting! Until you mentioned that earlier in the video, I never even thought about doing that and I just so happened to be pulling everything out of the garage this weekend to clean and re-organize it so it'll be the perfect time to do it! Yeah we almost gave up looking since prices are crazy...then this came up by owner and we like it! I plan on patching holes with mortar. Then a product called "block filler" goes on. It is thick and is a high build filler for masonry. Then top coat with normal paint. I recommend gloss white.

Definitely thought about that. Village allows only one driveway though. I'll see if I can fight that though.

@@HTMR . I would challenge that ordinace. Get a variance. A small access point off the side lane wouldn't have much impact on your neighbors. Nice house and looks like a great neighborhood.
