Great job! Curious since it had been a couple years, how has motor perfored? Anything you wish would have done differently? Just bought my first 5.3 and getting ready to do same buildby watching you channel! Thanks in advance!
Runs great and now about 450-500hp with 10# of boost. I wish I went with a higher volume/pressure oil pump than the one I selected for my application. Only regret so far.
How could spraying something flammable in the intake make the idle go down? And what are the odds of all four boots leaking, I'm just saying I never heard the idle change at all when you were spraying.
Great Job! I've been thinking about building the same pre-oiler. However, I have a Gen5 LT engine and I'm just not sure where to feed the oil in. The professional metal tank pre-oilers cost from $180 to $250! Outrageous!
Can you Help me ? I have a Kawasaki KX450F from 2006, but they did some changes to legalize it in Switzerland (changes are not professionel). Now i try to rebuild it to the original cross. You hava a Video or an advice for the electronics ? Thank you
Quick question and feel free to inbox me if you aren’t comfy answering it public. But I’m looking to do a custom built bike, I’ve got a couple diff engines set to the side I can play with. Was looking to use the Briggs and strat 200cc motor I have. Since I’m not looking for something by vehicle name make model and year. What would I look for to get a gearbox transmission for it so I can put it on a fabricated frame?
U r such a talented man. I’ve been dreaming about doing such a project, and have just started, subbed to your channel and watching them all, slowly catching up. Thank you.
@@HTMR Slice off a few slivers of pressure treated board, drill a hole and tap the wood slivers into the hole (similar to a plastic anchor) then just use any appropriate screw into the wood filled hole. Cheap, convenient and rock solid. Old school carpenter taught me that 25 years ago. Saves money and a possible trip to the store for tapcons or wall anchors. 👍
Wow! Thank You Brother! I knew there would be a way and your video saves me alot of head scratching! 20 years ago I witnessed a dry fire on a Gen 1 SBC and when we inspected the rod & main bearings, it shortened the life of the crankshaft big time. Kudo's to you Brother!👍
Can’t believe this actually worked. Brand new yoshimura pipe and my dumb Azz touched it with my glove. Copper penny took it right off then lightly hit with 0000 steel wool. Looks perfect. Thanks…
How did you mount the unistruts to your wall? Did you have to use a special thin walled socket or special tool specific to unistruts or special lag bolts to mount them to your wall?
Because i began my life with 2strokes at 11yrs old with a goped using zenoah engines that see 15,000 to 19,000 rpms. They rec. 25:1 ive used that and 32:1 in just about everything i care about. Never had issues.
Thanks again for your tutorial! I performed my pneumatic air brake bleed which worked out extremely well on my GL1800 Goldwing. What amazes me is that you don't even pump the pedal or hand brake during the entire process. Biggest thing is to keep an eye on your reservoir like you stated. Thanks again. 👍
You can....however the motor is going to pull more current and may be operating out of its intended range. I don't think it is a good idea. You can put an amp clamp on it and see what it pulls right before cut out psi and compare to name plate FLA.
Whenever using a wire buffing/cleaning tool, whether wheel like this or miniature Dremel, the rule is use a softer metal wire than the metal being buffed, to avoid cutting micro-scratches in the steel, ideally use brass wire to buff steel...it's softer than the steel, so no way you'll wear into the steel.....and steel wire will leave carbon behind in those scratches that will rust.
Excellent explanation, thank you! Ran out of daylight today. My fcr idles excellent but I have a hanging idle when i blip the throttle. When I turned AF screw all the way in the bike didn't die. Maybe a float or cable issue?
They make bigger units with more air handlers?? I’m looking to do on over this winter after my busy season for my house my brother is actually did one for his in-laws and putting one in his 18 wheeler sleeper we do fairs so he use that as a room
