Scorching in Central Texas also,need more rain! I layer cardboard down thick and it will take care of the bermuda grass.

I've got you on knowing your zone, first and last frost dates. I use this method, and do so much researching online. Although I don't plant veggies, I do some herbs and snap peas. I do know all plants are happy with a break from the hot saturating sun. I plant mostly shrubs. I'm into feeding the birds. I have my pollinators as well. I totally have the fall gardening going on here in zone 5b. I think we all have disabilities. Some won't even try gardening for example. They don't know What their missing out on! Good talk. Hey, loved your video on transitioning the gardening. I live in central south west Florida along the gulf coast. I believe that our weather is about the same as yours. I love okra and butternut squash and I am ordering my seeds this week and I will do just as you are doing. I learn so much from you and I love learning new things that have to do with growing food. Good morning from Bryan/College Station. Thank you for this video. I have been watching so many videos from other gardeners about a fall garden but none of them were in my area so I didn't know when to start. This will be my first fall garden. This is so helpful!

Great idea for a video,gardening for people in a wheel chair. My friend is in one and we set him up with raised cinder block beds about 2ft high.. although a bit harder to keep water in them,he's had pretty good luck with them.

I live in Texoma area of Texas and fight that grass in my raised beds. I look forward to hearing if the pavers work keeping back the grass. They are functional but they also look really good.

Tried to thumb up but it would bot work!!! So im feeding the ALGORITHM with a comment. Yes it summer summer HELL..and fall sprinkled with.A FEW KILLER WINTER DAYS... Im working on spring....fall..my starts are almost.ready ..not doing much this fall because i have to totally rework my beds. Gonna be buying truck loads of compost. I find doing shade.cloth ..helps a lot. Anything..even a sheet from the bed.

I'm fortunate enough to live in Kansas it gives us a long growing season. I would like to try and prune better top things to keep them smaller. I us a wheelchair to having a 10' tomato plant means nothing to me.

Gophers! ...Are my bane. And pasture grass invading. Bermuda and Johnson grass. and goose grass and sand spurs / grass burs and pig weed / amaranth..... it's hard to keep up.
