actually such sick support, I love that the deck is getting more love! helps massively with the deck's grind game being able to recycle pieces from the banished pile
This support literally means you can consistently have 2 gate guardian fusions in the same turn. Also, makes it easy to otk with the Riroyoki spell as their win condition. The new monster always being a gate guardian monster is also important. Makes it always turn on the Dark Element spell if you send it to the graveyard through foolish burial. Now that I am thinking more about it, Branded Fusion will be great for this deck. You can use BF to dump the new Dark Guardian to the gy with fallen of albaz. Summon out fusion Lubellion, dump a card in hand, summon Mirrorjade using Lubellion and Albaz in gy. Now with Dark Guardian in gy, you can activate Dark Element for Gate Guardian Combined. Banish the Dark Element, add whatever gate guardian piece you want, then shuffle back the added guardian piece to special summon Dark Guardian from gy. You could then make a rank 12 play using both of Guardian monsters.
Is no one gonna point out how Dark Element makes Riryoku Guardian much more consistent? Like the deck just got a pretty scary consistent OTK enabler that is also an extender and a recovery tool. Deck just got a serious buff potentially to rogue levels. Also finally Thunder and Wind might see play over the other 2 mid level fusions which were WAY better beforehand. I’d recommend 3 elements and 2 Dark Guardian because you want to see him and there’s no real way to get to him without drawing him.
Mother of God... I'm so glad I got into Gate Guardian. This makes them easy Rogue and that's absolutely not cope. So many decks aren't outing that Towers and it's so easy to get out.
I hope to see a couple of new ancient gear cards, but I also hope to see new generic insect support to build a rouge weevil deck that can deal with meta level deck engines, such as a new field spell, and maybe a new set of generic insects that could be useful like a number of generic insect search engines.
@@Metasheeep I was thinking something the could do something original, like new generic support, like a few new fusion's, traps and maybe a handful of new searching cards, a fusion However if I was able to design would be a ursagryph, it's a type of griffin, but with the head, wings, and claws of a owl, the body of a bear, and the tail of a dragon.
@@user-et6vh3wv8sthere's quite a few anime only chunks of the ancient gear archetype, both stuff played by crowler in gx and stuff like the "ancient gear hunting hound" fusion climbing chain from arc v that is a burn & otk combo.
@@Metasheeep When Konami concentrates Ancient Gear support around Golem, it is always bad, so instead let them concentrate on the Arc-V Ancient Gears, cause those are way better than anything Crowler had.
@@Indignationcraft32 first: gx support keeps coming out, so it does anger me that the newest support for ancient gear, was a horrible link 2, I run pure ancient gear, so summoning that link is more like a brick, if it was a link 1, I would have made it a part of my deck. Second: for insects I can see them following a more hive themed design, since we have the queens, a princess, and guards so a super hive themed field spell is possible as well as some new tech pieces like bees and wasps that let you search spell/traps for the bee and monsters from the wasp. Who knows seeing how dinosaurs keep getting support, and weren't rex and weevil good friends, it's a little odd seeing one get support and not the other.
So about Gate Guardian Combined, It's actually a 3 of in most lists, because unlike the level 9 ones, it can be contact fused by banishing the materials from hand and GY as well as field. The Level 9's can only contact fuse from field.
@@spookyboo1585 Machina Metalcruncher along with the Infinitrack engine as a starter, as this searches Scout and makes Genius in one card. A large Vernusylph package (3x each of the searchers, 1x the one that draws, 1x the one that mills) because you'd like to not use your Normal Summon for anything but a Tribute Summon. Also, remember you can use Genius to make Genius, so you can put a Qliphort in the GY that the Vernusylphs can target. Relatively normal Qliphort lineup of 3x Scout and whatever ratios you like for the others, but remember Genius searches Towers (or any of them), so you don't really need multiples of the big ones. Whatever Pot cards you want since Extra Deck is useless except for 3x Genius and 1x River Stormer. And the classic Wavering Eyes, which you really hope to draw every time. The goal is to make Genius first so you can Pend 2, search Towers, and then you have at least 3 tributes available already. It's not a good deck at all, but it's more or less the best way I've found to be able to get Towers out rapidly. When your opponent handtraps you, shake your head in disappointment at them as they've just misplayed by trying too hard against your shitty deck.
The new support is awesome cant wait to add these! Gate Guardian is one of my favorite decks and i've been working on a control mill version so adding dark element and another awesome boss monster is going to make this deck so much better.
It is nice in the sense that we can OTK with Dark element being searchable off thunder and wind, and then you can link that away so you can activate Dark element. However, some in archetype monsters and monster searchers other than the pieces would be nice to improve our engine and is what we actually need. Dungeon Worm, Monster Tamer, and Defense Wall would help fit these roles nicely. This set is not over so hopefully we get more, but this might be it unfortunately for now.
Literally 2 card combo... 2! 2 Labyrinth Wall Shadow, Terraforming with Set Rotation or Planet Pathfinder. And the Labyrinth Heavy Tank is finally useful! Get Sanga and Kazejin on field, Summon Gate Guardian of Thunder and Wind, search Dark Element, Link Summon with Gate Guardian for Gravity Controller and use Dark Element! So good and practically free!
Their still some cards they can make support out of dungan worm ,monster tamer, cannon soldier, and giga-tech wolf the first two can easily be trap or spells while the last two could help with consistency.
I'm so glad that konami decided that for this series they're not afraid to put bits of old anime cards into the core sets - rather than relegating them to v jump promos & animation chronicles only... imagine how much longer these 2 cards would've taken to get printed if they continued to be on animation chronicles reserve list instead. Still doesn't solve the issue that the decks needs another way to access the tank & shadow, but this is a very nice & needed boost.
Gate guardian and yubel are the only 2 decks you can't called by the grave. "Ha I banned and negated your monster". Me "oh no. Anyway" *full combo* *attack for over 9000 damage for game*
Now That Gate Guardian Is Confirmed Getting Support In Phantom Of Nightmare Most Likely Ghoti And Gold Pride Will Also Be Getting Support In This Set As Well. Just Do The Fact That All Three Archetypes We’re Introduce In The OCG Tcg World Premiere Set.
If you play this deck, with thrust and some board breakers, it’s gonna be a huge problem. It’s so easy to get the fusion that uses all three of the gate guardians out (Omni-negate) and in the same turn getting that searches a spell trap. The big fusion banishes to summon so you can just add back to hand and summon another omni negate. You literally jus have to play prisma a hero lives dark ruler and this deck wins every time going second and first. They made players wait a year to make it basically unbeatable and there’s too much room in the deck for an answer to literally anything.
doesn't dark element just generically good for any deck that can send for example sanga of the thunder to grave because I'm pretty sure it is because it gives those decks 2 spell/trap negates and it can float into kazejin for secret village of the spell casters
Huh, I would of thought they would of saved something like this for Animation Chronicle, but if it means we can start getting anime only cards in main sets again, I'm all in.
int the last 3 sets(include this set) were anime only cards, for examle in age of overlord the 2 missing arc V-earthbound cards and fire recovery. but its very cool we get anime only cards in main sets
Its good but what not the deck currently needs. Its still pain in the ass to pull out the OG Trio from the deck. Even Dark Element is still slow to make do. We need a way to pull out the trio faster, probably is that what the deck really needs. Even Fusion Deployment is clunky to use. Or just retrains of the OG Trio.
These are nice, bit the smaller fusions have to use cards on the field as material, and the only good ways to get the pieces there are the tank, the field spell and prisma
While this is a really nice new boss monster for the deck, I still think it's dumb that the level 9s require you to have the monsters on the field instead of all of them being ABC Buster Dragon. We need more fusions that can contact fuse from the graveyard, it is such a sick mechanic
I think all it really needs now is one extender monster that can place one of the bois in the spell/trap zone. We have Tank for the normal summon which does it, but one extender that comes out when you control a "Labyrinth" card from hand, then places one would be incredible.
Are they adding a new subtype here? Calling it a special summon effect monster? I assume this is for any monster that can’t be normal summoned or set but why include a new kind of key words and still specify that it can’t be normal summoned
Not running dark guardian. Never liked it.. Gate guardian is awesome.. I’m definitely gonna be using the spell. Hopefully they release another good card for it…
Towers is also weak to battle and to Level 10+ monster effects. This card is already better than Towers in general unless you are playing against Labrynth, in which case you're at least playing a coherent deck rather than the garbage that is modern Qliphort.
Sorry, but that's incorrect. Any of the fusions (and this monster) all count as a "Gate Guardian monster." Heck, you could theoretically Foolish Burial to send Dark Guardian, then bring it right back with Dark Element.
