Have you tried the Pandory DX software? It fixes the aspect ratio and the speed on certain games

And you can replace it with real sanwa or other brand if you want to 😆

Does anybody know if you can add games to this mini arcade like you can to the regular Pandoras Box DX? I'm waiting for mine to arrive from China, can't wait.

I dont understand it either, systems like these and most of the other chinese handhelds are designed for retro emulation only so why not make the screen 4x3 or at least give the option in display settings to enable it 4x3 aspect ratio. If runs android OS then I understand but these dont. I cant stand forced stretched display,I mean you dont watch TV shows or movies with extra stretched display so why play games that arent meant to be stretched. Im guessing its just for marketing purposes as they may look more appealing with a wide display.

The LCD they use are probably scraps from 2010 era. Thats why its cheap. They use whatever scrap they can to reduce cost. Its not like they have R&D to give you "the best". When it reach the west prices usually almost double, as cheap as it is, so you imagine the price at China. Also their target market is always China, not us. They have billions of untap market in the rural areas.

I think for me, always look at three things - comfort, design, and responsiveness.. Either from buttons, or emulation. Excited to see how this one fares, next to the Powkiddy A9, even though they have made an update I believe, the A12.. This, I am hyped to have a portable Pandora at a reasonable price, but because of Wicked, I hope to even have more Pandora badness goodness, like the 5S or 6S+.. Some are awesome, some you can see are just reskinned versions of old. I think they are up to Pandora 12? Or maybe they are switching to Roman numerals, DX - DXI, DXII, etc 😂 The good thing of the bigger joystick versions, you can switch boards out between boxes, so maybe I will have to do that.. The DIY assemblies I have seen are also gorgeous, I just like the original features, and not sure where I could find vinyls / covers for the Pandora sticks, or how to change them.

I know how you feel, I have been looking at all the different versions of All the Pandora's Boxes out there and was afraid to bit the bullet for the longest time. I just purchased an eight button 2 player DX and waiting for it to get here, I went with it due to the ease of adding games and to introduce my daughter to the games I grew up playing. If I did not get the DX I was looking at the Pandora Games 3D with Wi-Fi, mainly for the fact that maybe with the possibility they would be able to update the front end to improve compatability, but i think that is wishfull thinking.

Mine version haves a sd card maybe yours is not in the slot ? It's a Pandora DX inside so you can use thumbdrive if you want to ?

Hi wicked Gamer he sent a usb there was nothing on that either just a blank screen and i messaged him on ebay and he said i had to download the actual pandoras box dx programme myself is this normal wicked,im confused still

@@gypsycatcha79 i did in the end buddy i had to give it to a friend with a computer and he had to go on the site too download the DX PROGRAMME,But i had to pay £4.95,basically a fiver to download the programme,but apart from that the programme works fine,it downloads onto a usb which then gets plugged into the side of the unit,bit of a faff really but at least it works

So, I bought it. If anyone is curious, newer Taito games run pretty well. Elevator Action and Light Bringer are more than playable, with minimal slowdown.

They look like microswitches from mechanical keyboards which are not bad, but the main issue is that they look soldered to the PCB which is a huge problem when they need replacing.

With DX it's possible, i'm affraid you need to open it up. Normal mainboard files are on USB drive.
