I remember my gilded. Got crapped on by a whole galleon. I only had a grade 1 Athena and had just arrived at my first island when the chase ensued. Classic lol.

I tried digging up my athenas yesterday and had a brig rumble me before I could break soil and expose it. So I led them around on a long long chase they finally gave up once they got a skelly fleet on them.

Man I miss this game a lot. For me they just need to tweak reward systems. (My crew probably has at least a thousand hours, all max PL, for reference). It just seems like the coolest stuff is either for real money, or available for anyone to get which nullifies the investment of being a PL. love watching your stuff though man keep it up

Certainly doesnt help your chances by keeping a reapers chest on your boat the entire time, and having a stronghold keg in your mast when going to turn in. -20 IQ plays by this crew all around.
