I hate the color change. i started noticing it 2 weeks ago in Android Auto. Color scheme is horrible. Why did they change something that wasn't broken? I guess they want to make it look more like Apple Maps, but Google Maps was way more superior than Apple's.

Ya I'm not sure if it is an accessibility change or not - some colors are easier to see than others. Lots of users aren't happy with the change though!

The new colors are horrendous. Please at least give users an option to revert back to the old classic color scheme instead of forcing the new one on all of us.

I did notice the changed colors just in the past week. Also, I noticed that maps was glitchy on both my phone and the company tablet I was using that day, but just on that first day that I discovered the changed colors. After that day, maps worked fine. I do in fact, like the changed colors, they do seem to jump out more. I haven't used the lists much but I do like the idea. One of my favorite features on maps is how it will bring up places of interest, shopping, and eating and how easily I can link to them to find out more. And thanks for telling us about the gas price location feature! That will help greatly!

Hi Tasia, love, love, love your google tips, especially google maps. Google maps is in process of transferring the timeline data to our local device and there are new timeline settings. These include all the places I visited in past (I don’t know how many years). But I love it that I can go back in time and know where I have been. Will you be doing a video on how to manage these settings, and best optimize the configurations?

Hello Tasia, thanks again for your tips. They are great as usual. A question I had for you, could you. Although I selected my favourite Music Service (RU-vid Music) to Google Maps in the setting, there's no music control icon which appears in Maps. I used to have one a long time ago but now it's not showing anymore. Am I doing something wrong? Do you have a specific video tutorial on this specific feature? Thank you so much. 😀 T.

I used to be able to see the music that was playing on the bottom and quickly switch between apps now they removed that and I can't see what music is playing

Tasia, I have an issue with Google Maps. If I start to plan a route, it will give me the time and distance to the destination point. That's cool. But, if I add a third point I loose all time and distance stats. Don't know I am doing something wrong or it is something that Google Maps needs to work on. I would like to know the distance at least from point A, then the total distance to point B as well as the new total distance. Same information desired from point to point etc so that I camn plan gas and lunch stops. I am spoiled I guess because I use Garmin BaseCamp to plan routes and regardless I use a Garmin ZŪMO XT to navigate primarily on a motorcycle.

I use it so much I never even noticed it, lol I'm surprised that they can show gas prices because here in Wisconsin if you call the stations they say that they can't tell the price, something to do with price protection ot some bull

Nice updates to Maps but for me, for navigation, Waze still beats Google Maps … maybe it’s the country I am in. Whatever the case, the best source of information for all things Google are your videos. Thank you very much and enjoy the holidays.

Iam sorry deary to inform u its a google map app update but the maps are not yet updated.... there is a diffrence between the maps update and app update ( like colour or other changes).... plz use your words smartly bcoz when u use google maps in my area you will endup with a dead end.

The reason for the change of colours is because yellow is offensive to Chinese, and the new light blue/purple (not grey) replacing it will help further diversify the product.

Why on Earth did they have to change this? Let's not mince words, the new colour scheme is awful. If you don't like the new colours I suggest you look at the Microsoft version that comes with Windows. The Microsoft version has improved dramatically and it is far more pleasant to use than this revised rubbish. The arial version in Microsoft Maps is vastly superior to the bastardised version in Google maps It's much sharper and doesn't have the ridiculous fiddling with trees and things. Google Maps, goodbye!

Horrible new colour scheme. Heaps of people complaining about it on reddit because you can't send direct feedback to google. Bring back previous colour schem, the new one is horrendous. I hope they will bring the old color scheme back - using the new one is outright dangerous. I couldn't even differentiate the lanes (especially when you have multi-lane and driving at night). Also try going overseas and use the new maps - can't tell between temples and other buildings. The UI team should be fired
