Govee FINALLY ditches the Camera - Govee AI Gaming Sync Box TV Backlight - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fvB9XrmZQJo.html World's FIRST HDMI sync box, check this out - bit.ly/3lmVI9O Govee's latest addition to their TV backlight range with a new dual lens camera and with the new Envisual technology. Must admit I'm loving the new Govee T2 and the colours translating to the LED backlight Let me know what you think?
I got one of these a week ago and my wife and I absolutely love it! It helps with her eye strain and allows us to watch out 85” in a dark room together now. Movies and tv are better forever now. Highly recommend! I used my own double sided tape to attach the camera to the bottom of the tv and removed the weight from inside. Had the turn my phone upside down to calibrate it but it’s working a treat!
Facts! I got the T2 tv backlights and 2 Govee Lyra floor lamps and honestly the experience is insane! I'm seriously in the process of re-watching everything I've ever seen with this set up!
Wow Govee has delivered on the best LED lighting strip! I'll be going to CES 2023 in Vegas soon so I look forward to see this strip and what they have upcoming. It's definitely the most accurate strip on the market. 🎯🎯
I want sure how much of a difference there was between the 1 and 2, but you did a great job of not only illustrating that, but showcasing it's strengths in a crisp, clean presentation. Thanks
Govee T2! I just watched your other Govee dreamview video but wasn't happy about sticking the camera to my TV. The T2 is the way to go. Thanks for the great reviews.
Thank you for the video. I do have the older version that you compare to the T2 and I consider or considererd upgrading. But your video leaves me a bit confused. Your side-to-side- comparison of the older version and the T2 shows that the T2 clearly represents the colors better where the old version is "only yellow-ish". However, my old version looks just as good as as what your T2 shows. So now I am wondering if your old version is not set up correctly or if the T2 would look even better in my setup. Also you said the new camery can not be put on the bottom side of the TV. Why is that? For a proper lack of attaching it or because the software does not support it anymore? My camera is attached to the TV´s lowboard and it works perfectly and I´d lke to do that wi the new one, too. So yeah, really confused now seeing your comparison with the really not-so good- looking old version that works way better in my setup/ looks just as good as the T2. Oh, is the higher density of the LEDs really noticeable or is it just something that reads well on paper? Thanks : ) Edit: is teh system now able to completely turn off LEDs for dark/black parts of the screen?
I bought the T1 od the 25th (so 5 days ago on a Sunday) and on Monday they announce this! What should I say? Oh, and the set I got is now 20€ extra cheaper! FU GOVEE! JK 😁I like you still.
Hello, thank you very much for the video. I bought this product, but I would like to know if it is normal for the camera to remain so hot all the time even with everything turned off, I appreciate your response.
I love Govee products and services Happy to see the new T2 line. But.... I own the first Govee set for TV and don't see enough improvement in buying the upgrade. Otherwise I wouldn't hesitate one second. The problem is lights in the room and light coming from the TV it self. It distortes the colour matching because the camera sees more light then it should. I fixed this a bit for myself with help from others that made a littel plastic lens from 3D glasses that cover the camera. This is dimming the light intake very well and gives realistic colours that match the TV. But... I sometimes miss the very vibrant colours from a explosion on screen. I really hoped they fixed this issue. But I don't think they did. So there is really no BIG point for me in buying this new set. I hope they well adress this in the T3 version. Otherwise I would have bought without any thoughts/ regrets It makes what you watch come alive.
Agree with comment above same thing just 2 cameras and color doesn’t look much brighter. These RU-vidrs really make it seem like it’s a huge upgrade and I was a sucker.
Just got this today and cant wait to build my media wall including this in it, Ive tried a few cheaper versions and other than the LEDs falling of after a month there didnt do what this one can. Awesome video and looking forwards to new content. Stay safe buddy.
Why do you need that camera on top of the tv? I am looking for led strips syncing with build in apps of the tv. I saw hdmi sync boxes but those work only with external devices..
What happen if the screen is almost all black? Will it still turn on? Cause with an old screen I want the light to turn off when the side should be dark
GOVEE T2, Thanks for the informative video. Use to use a DreamScreenTV box which I loved but it recently died. I was hesitant to get the Govee becuase of the camera. Can you tell me how it works with privacy? I mean it is taking a 'picture' of the screen to analyze it. Does it offloads it to a cloud or does it stay local and is destroyed after processing.
@@Shapeshifterxx I'm guessing it will be released after 1 year like the T1 pro. Not gonna make the same mistake twice. Cause I really wanted the light bars and so I bought them both (T1 & T1 PRO).
@@QuattroPhie you can synch other Govee products with Govee DreamView. They don't have to come in the kit to have them synched. You could have just bought lightbars separately instead of buying a whole new T1 kit with lightbars
Great video and content! I've recently dived into these immersion kits and really enjoy them. Unfortunately, my camera is set up similarly to yours, but my camera mount/wire creates a shadow from the lighting above the top of my TV. I just can't wrap my head around why mine is affected in that manner and yours isn't, haha! Am I overlooking something obvious?
I'm probably going to end up mounting the camera underneath my TV or soundbar - they're both mounted. It's just going to be a hassle to do so since I'd have to undo my cable management and unhook the TV again.
Also, one final thing. Recently moved my seating around and if you sit to the far left, you can see part of the lighting strip (barely). Just enough to ruin the immersion. If I move that part of the section a smudge towards the center, is the adhesive durable enough to 'reuse' in a sense? Thanks again.
can it be hooked to what you have already govee all in my pockets i started with just one camera then the bars with strip just got 15" backlight bars which would be nice if you can hook it up to the flow bars now they have this how many power adapters ima have use
This is a fantastic option for RGB around the display but that camera would drive me bonkers. It’s all I would see. I wish they could pull this off without the camera mounted to the tv and maybe have it on a console or back of a center channel speaker under the display
After a littel while you don't see the camera anymore. Trust me. But the effects are so great to have. Just try the old set when it's cheap. You won't be disappointed.
@@petermulder7480 I have Philips Hue on a couple displays. I recently bought wire channel and painted it the color of my wall to hide one hdmi cable. It drove me bonkers. The least little distraction would take my eyes off the display
I just received, and installed my T1 today. I didn't know that a T2 was coming out October 8th, so I will likely return the T1, to get the T2. What I don't like from the newer T2 is not having the option to mount it on the bottom. Do you think that the T2 would work properly if I mounted it on the bottom, using double sided tape?
How far is your tv from the wall? I have the same TV and the back is 2 inches from the wall. Is this enough distance for the LEDs? Thank you in advance.
I have an adjustable bracket so can pull the TV a bit more forward so I keep it at 5inchs away from the wall, but you should be fine with 2inch but be aware there may be less of a spread of lights on the wall.
Trying to decide between fantasy3 and T2. Dont like the camera, i think theres a way to mount it on the bottom. Wouldnt the fantasy3 work with the firetv box since it has an hdmi output? I never use the smart streaming features of the TV
I'd love to know if those LED strips are still secure. Every LED kit I've used started peeling off after a few months. Ended up trashing them. Excellent review tho!
Yes they stick well, I had their older kit attached to a TV for over a year the key thing is to wipe off any dust and then wipe wiith the alcohol wipes.
I use the T1 Pro (H605B) with Oled 65 inch and I see no difference compared to the T2 model (maybe with a larger TV size the difference would be noticeable). Still, the tone of the colors often differs from those displayed on the TV (e.g. green is blue and orange is red). It is better to buy a Neon TV for the old set than to change to a new one.
The camera should plug into the arm by a USB micro socket, so you choose to simply plug the cable directly into the camera without all the arm/caddy. I'd just place the camera on my cabinet looking up at the TV. Far more subtle than a big ugly arm hanging over the top of the TV.
Same. My guess for why they only make them for giant TVs is because the people that have the money to buy the giant TVs also have money to buy these fancy add-ons.
@@RU-vid_Nr.1 All the caddy/arm is in the way. The camera should attach to the arm via a micro USB, so if you choose you can do away with it and simply plug the cable just to the camera. Then you could fix the camera infront of the TV looking up without all the caddy in the way.
@@GeekStreet You mean placing the camera on the projector instead of the screen ? The projector is a regular throw which means it's about 10 Ft away from the screen
It's a good video but I think you still have the saturation up way to high, with the T1 you only needed about 10 to 15 percent, looks the same for this one, on quite a few of your clips 1 colour blows out the rest.
Wow , just placed the order yesterday and i might gonna cancel or return it . Like others T1 users , mine is mounted on the botton , my projector screen falls in front of my tv . Whatta Deal Breaker.
I bought the T1 od the 25th (so 5 days ago on a Sunday) and on Monday they announce this! What should I say? Oh, and the set I got is now 20€ extra cheaper! FU GOVEE! JK 😁I like you still. Oh and GOVEE T2 😉
No unfortunately not but you may be able to get away with using their G1 lights...check this out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OI01ofABMtQ.html
