Definitely Nettle, also called Stinging Nettle. Great medicinal value, food value, and many more uses. Will outgrown this space very quickly and they are perennial.
Like others have said that’s stinging nettle. I live in western Washington state and nettles abound here. I have a patch in the backyard I harvest in early spring (wearing long rubber gloves😀) and dehydrate the leaves for tea. They are super packed with nutrition. Thanks for all the education you do on Greenstalks - I bought 3 and this is my second year planting in them. One is entirely filled with strawberries and they are thriving. I am considering getting one more Greenstalk this year if they have the Mother’s Day sale again.
You are brave! I am nurse by trade and turning something into tea that stung my finger for hours scares me hahahahaha! You are welcome regarding the education on GreenStalks and I think having one more sounds like a great idea if you can afford it. Waiting for the sale sounds perfect. A whole GreenStalk with just strawberries sounds like a delicious GreenStalk!!!🥰
@@morninggloryfarmstead- I’m a retired RN (a few years ago but haven’t given up my license yet - just can’t let go 😂) and now have the time for gardening and preserving what we grow. Nettles won’t sting after they are dehydrated- don’t be scared! 😅
Stinging nettles???? They’re supposedly painful when you touch them…..they’re incredibly good medicinally! I wish I had some coming up here! I’m afraid to plant them because I know my husband would get into them and get stung…..I have seeds…..arrrrrgggggghhhhhhh!! I want a new GreenStalk so much! I have 2 but I NEED MORE!!!!!!
