I love this, smelled this in a store and HAD to get it....I do wear colognes to receive compliments....but I also wear scents to make myself feel good.
Two years ago went to the mall from all the scents I'd tried this was so different from the rest I purchased a bottle once back in my car I eagerly opened the box sprayed like four times and went to Starbucks to check the reactions of every day folks ordered my usual latte and sat down and suddenly two people nearby got up and went to the counter talked to the barista they'd looked at me they sat back down then I saw the manager walk to a wall and turned the thermostat on and I'd had the feeling it was my silage, so I've learned to use it moderately applied then wait for the dry down and layering with other scents if in close quarters eg; (office School) In the club this is a monster you can prespire all you want somehow it becomes even stronger in the bedroom more seductive I would say, two years later am on my fourth bottle no regrets getting harder to find it though, must really have balls to wear it for sure (where and how to use it) No joking! People be like how dare you! You'll be like I GOT BALLS! Besides it actually smells like money lots of money! NICHE quality for sure! Or gasoline if you never smelled bundles of money before. Finally if you don't like it send it to me I'll pay the postage.
josie has a dirty mind and i love her. you should get her doin' reviews! soon. as for the fragrance, i like it. although as Stephanie said, it is probably better suited for an older guy. Mind you, the younger guys have all been herded into a giant group of sweet gourmands things. Rest of us want more than that. Bravo for Morillas to do something that isn't a freshie.
I love this fragrance, it took a while to grow on me, but now it's awesome. The disadvantage indeed is that a lot of people just don't like it. So if you wear it, you know a lot of people will probably NOT think you smell good. And that's why you wear a fragrance in the first place, let's be honest. But I feel that if you love it, and you're the type of person that wants to be different than other guys, go for it! It's definitely not a day fragrance. And I would recommend it to guys over 30 only. (I'm 34)
Really enjoyed watching this super sized episode. I'd not mind seeing longer vids more often from ur channel...nice job and I'm a big fan of this scent...
I throw in longer ones every now and then. Most that I've done with Steph are like 24 minutes, and then of course I get complaints that it was too long LOL
The fact that Steven mentioned that this fragrance is of niche quality really has me curious to getting my nose on this fragrance. Unfortunately, it's not available yet in my area (Columbus, OH).
almost 3 years later and I am just now getting my nose on this. This Gucci Guilty Absolute is such a beautiful fragrance. It actually reminds me of Tom Ford's Ombre Leather; Diet Coke version. For me, it feels more wearable than Ombre Leather.
I grabbed this recently. I do enjoy it. To me it is close to Duro. Both have a boozy medicinal quality. It seems it projects a bit better than Duro, but Duro's longevity is unmatched. Duro is perhaps more "artistic" and "refined," but the bandaid scent is more pronounced in the Gucci. Were it not for the price, Duro would be the way to go I think.
Could not agree more with both of you! I have sniffed this juice and I did like it, but I'm not seeing myself wearing this one - too much rough leather/artistic scent for me. Nonetheless, Gucci is back to the game - simply love the Gucci Intense Oud - and maybe the "Sport" version of Absolute will be more wearable. Great review guys, as always! ;)
People are getting more and more acceptant of this ..I received a compliment the other day and a work friend adores this ..he wears it all the time and has recently received compliments ..it is autumn also which helps ..stock up now !!
After I watch this review I went to the store a bought me one bottle. And guess what. This is not a kid fragrance. This is definitely a big boy fragrance very leathery and animalistic smell definitely a alpha male cologne;)
Loved the review format and different takes on this scent. Jossie had me cracking up! Steph's smellvision is a classic. Super fun review! BTW - Do not google leather underwear :-)
Thanks so much for reviewing Guilty Absolute! There haven't been that many reviews on it yet. I'm waiting on my 10ml decant sample to arrive in the mail this week; I'm very excited to try this one out! : - )
I'm re-watching this as I fully sample Gucci Guilty Absolute today and love this video, especially the traveling road show aspect of gauging friends and family input. I love the high praise from the folks at Osswald, and that they would carry it if it were niche is quite a statement.
Nice one guys!! I just actually tried this Again today and it's just hospital hospital hospital for me. I was really expecting something nicer, deeper, richer/sweeter/resinous.
Love the Oswald guys 😍❤️❤️ I kinda knew this was not for you Carlos because I know you are not a big fan of vetiver especially the earthy ones like in this one plus combining it with leather so it gives you a double whammy of manliness. Not for everybody I agree and I'm okay with that. Either you will love this or hate/dismiss this. Personally,as a vetiver junkie, this fall in the realm of what I enjoy in fragrances. What surprised me in this review is Steven's take. I,too, thought he'd love this. Oh well,we can't love all the same fragrances just the same way I abhor Dior's Oud Ispahan,Zooligist's Beaver and Diptyque's Oud Palao that others seem to love. I enjoyed your honest take as always.👌🏻
I just got a sample of this last Friday and will get to it when I can, needless to say Josie's comment has moved it up to next! LOL I adore rough leather, and smoky vetiver PLUS cypress is my favorite wood in life and perfume so I will no doubt get this. The first umpteen Guiltys did NOT wow me (to say the least) but I did love and buy the EAU and now it looks like I will be adding yet another Morillas to my collection! Love both you guys and keep on spraying! Smell swell & be well...
Hi there. i enjoy your reviews. I want to say that i have been looking for a fragrance that reads like Bulgari Onekh, which I love. And this fragrance suprisingly is extremely close to it. It has the same dense, smoky, leathery tones without any flowery notes and I think the only differences are that it is not quite as rich ( needed 4 spritzes instead of one or two) and so the sillage is slightly weaker, but so far, ( i hour into it) it smeels just like Onekh to me, on me, if you know what I mean. I like that raw fragrant leather smell so I was pleased with the result, especially since on Sale, it is very inexpensive to the Le Gemme series, ( which is also an amazing line not reviewed enough)
Dude, try it for yourself, maybe you like it. Don't let the opinion of others influence a possible like or better,a possible love. It is bold, yes, but super sexy, mysterious and masculine.I bought a bottle today and I love it.
We have here in UK almost 2 or 3 months in stores and I like it myself and own samples off it,and agree who ever said feels like a nice great review Carlos and my friend there 😉😉
Nice video! This one intrigues me, especially since I share your opinion of the post-Tom Ford Gucci frags. I will be interested to see what type of vetiver this has. I can't stomach the vetiver in Black Orchid, which I think is Indonesian, but love Grey Vetiver and Original Vetiver which I believe are of the Haitian variety. I know he said it doesn't contain it, but I am with Steven in the dislike of most juniper berry scents. Can't wait to get my nose on it. Thanks guys :)
Iv smelt it a few times in store and was really pleasantly surprised how daring it was compared to the rest of the line. However I feel I already have enough smokey/leather scents so I won't be buying a bottle, maybe a year or so down the line if it grows on me and if it's still available.
Carlos, another great video. Would you and Mr. Redolessence be kind enough to do a top ten spring fragrances, niche and designer, for 2017? I would really appreciate it.
Brooklyn Fragrance Lover Carlos, you're welcome. I'm a subscriber to both of your channels so I'm always tuned in for the latest videos. You guys are awesome. I just recently started getting involved with fragrances so I can use all the help I can get.
Brooklyn Fragrance Lover I appreciate it very much. Unfortunately, I don't have a FB account. Facebook never really caught my attention even when it was popular. I'll make an account if that's an easier way to stay in contact with you and Mr. Redolessence. The more help I can get from experience and knowledgeable guys like yourselves would be excellent.
I did not like this one initially, which is odd because it's construction is supposed to be linear.... But its grown on me. Its very raspy & leathery. Thankfully this does not give me bandaids.
The best fragrance from Gucci since 2007 BUT ! I'm waiting for time when they will realise that they need to bring back the classics and drop out this shameful guilty line.
Hi man supp? So in your professional opinion where do you see this fragrance sitting ? Its still new but will it hit the say top sexiest fragrance for men or something along that line ?
It's a bold jump.....just saying. I could definitely think if you like John Varvatos you would like this. Masculine to the end....with the younger set liking the sweeter, lighter stuff this would put them off. If you like the dark, leathery, petrol like scent you would like this. This is NOT Gucci Guilty. Not even close. I love Guilty Guilty, and I appreciate this even more. It's a decadent leathery fragrance....not for the weak or the timid. If you like a boozy leathery fragrance like Lagavulin 16 year this will do it for you.
It smells great, but it's no GPH. I smelled it for the first time today on a stick, didnt' apply it on my skin tho, was already wearing DHI. Will return in a few days to put it on my skin and see how much it projects and lasts.. my guess is - total failure. All fragrances gets their lasting and projection compared to Blue De Chanel or A*Men.. /Edit. Today i tested it on my wrists. Took a shower and made sure they were clean from any previous fragrances and used a skinlotion before applying the fragrance at the store. The opening was like getting hit in the face by a baseballbat soaked in woody tar and burnt rubber with a hint of leather. The drydown was much leaner. The problem was that after roughly 2 hours i could barely smell it unless i put my nose against my wrist.. a 100$ fragrance that becomes a skinscent after 2 hours is a NO NO.. Typical Gucci, watered down low quality - would not recommend.
hey I am 18 and the way I describe this on my skin is very sensual and deep, I am actually thinking of wearing this to prom. Any advice? I want to smell different than all the bleu de chanels and what not. (I have tested this on my skin before)
yoo what's up Carlo just passing Thur just spray this monster on at mall wooo people ask me what the hell u werein lol one spray into to five hours still smell it gasoline and leather....
