I got my nose on this and I was very impressed. A brilliant release from Gucci. Got a suede and leathery type of vibe. Very very masculine. In my opinion this is the best Gucci guilty.

This is really a masterpiece, much stronger, in comparison to the contemporary mainstream fragrances available in the market. It's really boozy and long lasting. Many many thanks for your wonderful review.

Thats the problem with Gucci Stores Sebastian, I went there last year to sniff Gucci Intense OUD and they dont have it, I told them the same thing that you told them, They went to the back of the store and they told me We dont have any open, You will have to buy it, I told them to open one and put this one on display they didnt want it because It was a new release so dont have any idea about it, two months later I went back and Finally have a open bottle, thanks God I didnt blind buy that one because smelled horrible. I hope this one is not as linear as it looks but Im sure is pretty close as you reviewed, so I will have to sniff that one of these days. Thanks for Sharing.

Thank you for the review. It is been a while I was not interested in the designer game. But dry vetiver & leather seem interesting. My favorite vetiver based are Sycomore, the original Encre Noire, Grey Vetiver edp, and Eau De Vetyver by L`Occitane. Texas.

I do like Gucci Guilty. People trash it as too generic and synthetic. My favorite vetiver has to TF Grey Vetiver.

I personally like this scent, but I must emphasize that I have never received a compliment for it. So I only used it when I wanted to, to feel good. Longevity, usually this type of fragrance, is very long lasting, but this is not the case. In just a few hours, nothing was left of that scent.

Never have really been a fan of Gucci. Not putting down the scent(s) in any way. I am referring to exposure to the brand. I have never owned a Gucci scent, but my Dad does own Gucci Guilty Pour Homme. Fantastic scent! This one caught me eye due to strictly the bottle and color of the juice. The initial pictures show it having an orangy color, and I was surprised to see it looking more brown like a whiskey. Still, that will not deter me on sampling this. vetiver is something I haven't had much contact with. The oriental woodsy does appeal to me. Vetiver I have had in the original Polo Green, and if I'm not mistaken Creed Green Irish Tweed has it. I'm curious to see how the leather and the vetiver mix together. The only concern to me, is the longevity. But IMO I always find that it takes your nose and brain a little while to adjust to new scents on the body so you may just be adjusted to the scent to the point where you can't smell it much. I see you made this over 5 years ago and I was just packing for a move and seen this. I forgot how much I loved it cause I live in Florida, so it's perpetual summer. Well it's cold as F last week and gonna be all week into the weekend. So I brought this out and been wearing it last couple days and this is a LOVE for me. Simple ingredients, so well done and this is about the most masculine scent I ever smelled. It's different, it's not what others are wearing. And I love the animalic touch. And from Gucci. Who would of known. The other Guilty flankers suck and on a good day I would say this a 5/10. This one, 8.5/10. This is not as strong as I expected when you wear it. Maybe it got diluted or maybe my nose is going blind cause I give my nose a workout daily. This is so good I put it on my wearing rack.

i love leather scents. I've never tried a vetiver scent but this could be the first one to get hands on! nice review tho! New Jersey here

Hi Sebastian, great review. I smelt this recently and it's my favourite men's Gucci since the original Gucci Pour Homme that came out under the reign of Tom Ford. This is rich and has character. Btw, my favourite Vetiver is Vettiveru Cologne by CDG, which has been taken off the market here in Europe, as I think it's being rebranded and relauched. Bizzarely it is rarely mentioned by the frag community.

Wonderful review, Sebastian. I do enjoy encre noir. As soon as you started describing GGA that's what I immediately thought of. Regardless, I'm intrigued by this one, and I'd love to get my hands on a decant! Currently, my favorite vetiver fragrance is Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDP. Thanks for biting the bullet on this one! I'd be extremely hesitant to blindly drop $100+ on a new Gucci release...glad it worked out! Also, I'm in Illinois!

I bought it today, I am in shock. It’s just perfect. It’s high quality, Dior’s private line quality.

That bottle is cool in a way.. the minimalist approach sometimes can work . this sounds interesting. There was a time I wasn't a big fan of vetiver but as my nose matured I started enjoying it more. I think it really depends what kind of vetivier .. I don't like the super powerful dirty dark vetiver.. However when its used right it gives a nice masculine over tone. Also vetiver can work great with fresh fragrances.. My vintage bottle of bleu de chanel you can really smell the vetivyer pretty strongly and I enjoy it. I need to try more vetiver fragrances my experience with the note isn't that great. This sounds very masculine.. Leather vetiver with some booziness.. Would love to try it

I have a bottle of Gucci Guilty Black and like it...mainly because it's pleasant, non-offensive, and the ladies really like it. Plus, it was dirt-cheap on the discount market. Besides performance and a fair amount of that department store, baloney-cologney type feel, the biggest problem I have with the Guilty lineup is that they smell so similar and don't perform all that well. Still, I do like having Guilty Black in my scent armory (shhh! don't tell anyone!). Anyway, I enjoyed the review and I'm going to put this one on my to-sniff-list, for sure.

this one sounds interesting, i have gucci guilty intense and I love it ,but same problem with gucci fregrance 2-4 hours longevity and 45 min to 1 hour projection max ,I love vitver fregrance I have a harsh/dark type of vitver ,lalique encre ( the hole line )and I love that one.

I think there are some slightly interesting Gucci Guilty flankers but for most part they seem pretty linear to me. I do like the look of this bottle design. Fave vetiver fragrance might be Guerlain Vetiver. I live in UT USA

Greets from Texas! I keep reaching for Guerlain Vetiver. Pure class in glass. I'm also a fan of Chanel Pour Monsieur, which I think has a nice mossy vetiver base. I'm with you being unimpressed by Gucci's recent offerings...my last Gucci purchase was of Nobile, if that gives you any indication.... I just ordered some decants of Sycomore (Chanel) and Dior's Vetiver which I am hopeful for. Summer is around the corner, and I can't WAIT to dust off the bottles!!

Wow..favorite vetiver? Has to be encre noir sport or perhaps Guerlain Vetiver extreme and i'd throw in Dior Vetyver(RIP). Sport is just such a wearable fresh perfect spring vetiver. Guerlain extreme is just a grown up smooth night out vetiver. Im anxious to try this new Gucci although Gucci has put out some gems and then taken them away form us. Located in CA

First and foremost, I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I never really cared much for fragrances as a kid growing up, let alone my teen years. I didn't really care for all the "hoopla" that the majority of men did. I guess you can say I didn't want to be a follower. I'm now in my mid 20s and I should've started building my fragrance collection because it's a MUST have in any men's drawer or closet. I certainly would like to get the opportunity to try out this new Gucci fragrance. I subscribed to your channel because of the essence and the knowledge you present yourself with all different kinds of fragrances. I get the sense you are not biased and totally fair. I like those qualities in a person that is as real as they come. You're very eloquent and intelligent when you make your fore gone conclusion. I would like to win because I recently started my little fragrance collection and I'm doing my best to learn more research about my own opinion on fragrances. You definitely help out the fragrance community with your hypothesis. I can use all the help I can get. My favorite vetiver fragrance would have to be Miller Harris' Vetiver Insolent because it's very spicy, warm scent with hints of black pepper and cardamom for a dominant blend. Never smelled Gucci Guilty, and I always assumed that it was a sweet cotton candy scent. So this one seems interesting for sure.

Hmmm, this scent sounds interesting. I totally agree with you, I also feel like designer houses are starting to do this Eau de Parfum trend! Which is a good thing because maybe the designer houses are taking there scents more seriously and are giving the people a better product! NYC :)
