I read a review of The Cult in Rolling Stone regarding the LOVE album in 1986 (year I graduated high school). Ran out and got the album...played it and could not put it down. It was 1993 when I bought a Gretsch White Falcon in Mpls. I have recorded, played live with it in front of 2,000 people as it started snowing on stage....never let me down. I also purchased the Billy Duffy model and it plays like a dream and it looks great too.
Congratulations Jack and welcome to the club! I've owned mine for about 4 years now and absolutely love it! It's got power and tone unlike any other guitar I've ever owned or played. It's a beast of it's own incarnation! The zero nut is IMO the best feature added to the tone of the filterton pickups, it's absolute unique and balls to the wall RAW in every sense of the term!
WOOOOOWWW!!!!! Enjoy your Falcon!!!! You're worth it!!! : ) I've wanted one ever since my Bon Scott/ Malcom Young Era, AC/DC Days.... Maybe some day "I'll pull the trigger"... Jus bought a 1952' Reissue Black Guard/Butterscotch Blonde Tele and an American Standard/ Professional 2 Tele, so my "New Guitar" budget has been spent for the year.. Lol...
That thing's beautiful!!!! Whenever I see a cool guitar, I look to see if it's available in left handed. The Gretsch White Falcon is, but not the Billy Duffy version. Dang, I like the Billy Duffy better. Treat er well man!!!
Stunning guitar mate, like you I first heard them in the mid 80's and was hooked on that look and tone - will have to pick one of those White Falcon's to go with my black one🤘
@@AlternativeGuitars yes thnx. I play guitar in Pure Kult, best Cult tribute around😉. The black one is sooo exclusive, i was very lucky to find one in the shop here in Belgium, straight after its release😁😁😁
I gotta be honest ..I usually have a hard time doing the new guitar thing... but you were sporting a black flag T.. so to show solidarity.. had to watch ;)
