Your hair and mine are the same, so I really appreciate the cut and the discussion as it was happening. I love the back, the fluffiness, and the messiness. My stylist tries to control the messiness, too, so I go home and reinstate it. Thanks for sharing the change! Change is hard! The salon looks great.
Like it Miss Margaret! Only drawback for short styles is more trips to salons, which is cost prohibitive to those of us having to stay afloat with price increases of everything! Just sayin! Congrats on your increasing subs! ❤ 😍
💕Good evening Margaret and all friends watching. You look fabulous, Margaret, what a beautiful cut, and your stylists are so sweet and talented! You have a lovely salon. I am 66 and if I could have your color, I’d let mine go grey, but alas, I have “mousy” grey as my mom called it, so as long as I’m working I’ll keep it colored my usual “brown”. Thank you for this fun video, and have a great week everyone 💐
Next time I am in the area I am going to have my haircut at your shop. They did a good job! I have been watching your show all this week and enjoying it very much. You are next door to my hometown so hearing you talk with your accent makes me feel a bit homesick. I am currently living in Saudi Arabia.
Love the new hairstyle - very fluffy, much more volume, just perfect!!!! And look at your subscription numbers - you’re gaining several hundred a day!!!!! So glad to see people enjoying your content.
Hello from Ireland. A new subscriber i just found your channel and going through your past videos. I love your style and sense of humour. I am 61 living in Dublin in a 1 bed apartment with my 2 cats. I like your hair and makeup you have great style x
Wow Margaret how anyone could ever say anything negative about you or your hair would be terrible. I think you are a beautiful human being on the inside and out. Keep on being you as we love you just the way you are 💕Sending you and all your viewers all my best wishes all the way from Australia on Australia Day 2023 🇦🇺🦘
You look great! I may take this to my hairdresser and see if I could wear my hair this way. I’m 73, have chin length hair and continue to color, since I don’t have a pretty natural color. But I’m sick of it. I want shorter, easy care. This is so cute on you, Margaret.
What a fun place to work💈 Really like your hair💈I, too, have a messy hairdo✂️ it's the easiest way to go, if one can✂️Have a Mighty blessed Day and thanks for showing the Shop💈Great place to work 💈Wish ALL hairdressers would always 'consult' customer before cutting, as it should be💇Have returned home pretty Shocked at times.. lol
Great video!! Your beauty shop looks bright and welcoming, so organized and clean. Yes, I like the change on you but thought you might go even shorter in the back. I definitely identify with that wig and stayed with that style and those colors, though I could never get my hair to lay nice like that in back. The back can be a pain in the neck but for me, shorter in back is the way to go, summer or winter. I'm a retiree now, near 70, have cut my own hair for years, own some haircutting books and good scissors and over time have learned how to do pretty well by myself. I do get a compliment now and again (don't go by my picture, I need to snap a new one). I've had more than one bad pro haircut in the past and decided I could mess up my own hair for free. My hair is fine and needs body, but I'm done with hair coloring since I actually like my greys. I hate blow drying, have never really mastered a curling iron but in a pinch will use electric curlers. Mostly, though, I old-school roll almost every night and sleep just fine on the rollers. Yep, sometimes you get too much curl, but I admit I love some of the old school (50s and 60s) short haircuts and styles like the vintage Italian hairstyle (google that or "Italian cut hairstyle craze"), though God knows I wasn't blessed with Liz Taylor's or Ava Gardner's gorgeous looks or dark hair. I grew up with a mom who platinum bleached her own hair and went for the tease-and-spray comb-outs to her beautician for years. One grandmother permed and cut her own hair every four months or so, the other one would take me with her to a beauty school downtown when I stayed overnight with her, and I usually got a haircut, though the other would perm my hair from time to time.
The shorter back looks more like your personality cute, sassy and youthful. Finally went to a pixie after decades with various bobs. This stylist messed up the back so badly making me look like the back of my scull was missing so I thought this was the jumping off point for short hair which I hadn't had in 40's years. Unbelievable how much it took away the look of my sagging jaw line in front and the profile too. The styling products of today are just wonderful. Can't believe how much more lift they have given to my fine, porus yet thick
Looks great ! I have not been in a salon to get my hair done since two months prior to the pandemic. And I still won’t go for the very reason you said about one of your stylists ..that one of came down with Covid I just don’t feel comfortable being that close to somebody who may have contracted it at my age 66 and with my autoimmune issues I need to be very careful. But you look great!!!! I love your hair color too!!!
Love your new haircut especially the back , I would like to show my hairdresser if you dont mind ?. I like the messy look also very hard for me to do as I have always had thick hair and am lucky at 68 it is still relatively thick. Margaret I have just found your channel and have been enjoying catching up with all your posts .
I love it and think it looks good on you. Sitting here with hair down to my butt wanting to chop it off to at least my mid back. Since the start of the lockdowns in 2020 I just let it grow, but having it this long is not livable. And it drives me crazy. I wish I lived near your salon. I have been thinking of cutting my own hair. I'm a former dog groomer, but I do not know how to cut people hair. But, I can clip a fancy poodle 🐩 😂
so what is the back cut called. I have tried to show and also explain what I want. But I never get that look that you have in the back. Your hair looks lovely. Nice salon
You heard us refer to it as “the wild thing” but other salons would not recognize that name, it’s something that I have taught for years. A good stylist should be able to achieve this easily, esp if you show a photo.
Feeding the cats would be boring…they have food out all day (dry) because I am at work. I am thinking I may set the camera up one evening and just let it play. Parker joins me at nite for short visits of her choosing…of course!
Dry cut was only so Sarah could puzzle out for herself what she wanted to do. She only did a rough cut dry and actually refined it after shampooing. The back and front were blended at a sharp diagonal angle. the top and sides are disconnected.
