Nice job. Offset turning to create an oval is, in theory, very easy. But in practice it’s much more difficult ( at least for me) to end up with a smooth even oval. I always end up doing far more sanding than turning.
Getting the oval the same on both sides was challenging. I tried to just make the same number of cuts. Turning the lathe off a lot and evaluating it helps.
I enjoyed the video. Thank you for showing how to do an offset handle turning and the real life struggles involved in making a handle. What brand/model lathe are you using?
