I have an older 1992 GMC Sierra 4x4 with load level Air Bags. I lift the truck to pull out of the driveway so the Harmar does not drag the street, most people don't have. My scooter a Pride ZT10 dual motors makes it like 250 pounds any regular little SUV this would drop it down. I haul two Scooters, the Golden Buzz Around EX comes apart with no wires, allows us to both go shopping with two scooters. Not sure how small SUVs would do this, show a video about what type vehicle is needed.
There are so many types of vehicles that this would work on it would be hard to cover them all. There is a vehicle compatibility calculator which someone can put the make/model of both their vehicle and the make/model of the scooter/powerchair to find out what lifts would work with their vehicle and the unit they have. Extra securing never hurt anyone but there is an adjustable lever than comes down and presses on the floorboard to securely mount the scooter for transit.

Hi Marc! I bought a used A100 Harmar lift on Marketplace and it's missing the bar that the rear scooter wheels rest on. Since it has the arm to secure the scooter on the rack; do I still need the wheel bar?
As long as the scooters wheels sit on the platform you should be good. If it does not fit on the platform, you would need the bracket for the rear wheels to sit in. Hope this answers your question.
It is not illegal in the state of Florida. In some states it is and we do sell a license plate extender to raise the tag above the lift to be seen for those states.

Are you asking if you can use an electric wheelchair on this lift? If so, no you would not be able to use a chair on this lift since there is no way to strap down the chair. This lift is made for scooters where the arm that secures the unit in transit goes down and presses on the footplate of the scooter. A power chair doesn't have that to hold during transit so you would need a lift with either an arm that smashes on the seat like the AL-560 or the AL-580HDX.
Some states do not need a license plate extender in order to see the tag above the lift, some states do. We do sell a license plate extender that shows the tag above the lift when it is in the closed position as well as shows the tag if there is a mobility unit in the way of where the tag would be. It would be tight but it will work, we have sold customers a lift for a Pursuit 2 and installed where the unit fits on the lift and isn't in danger of falling off
