For decades I've complained that manufacturers don't use basic physics and consider energy conservation when designing products. ...so individuals like this are heroes in my opinion. It takes three times longer to make a video presentation on a creation than it does to just make and enjoy it for yourself. Sharing knowledge is an investment in the future of our species.

Making it for yourself doesn't make you money though. There's a reason all these channels are silent or have weird text to speech, they're Russians who pump out junk content to make a living from the menial views they get from idiots who don't know this gimmick yet. It's always weirdly made stuff, very often rocket stoves, or 'restoring' things (that they actually just bought and destroyed with salt water but will pretend it's antique). Nothing in this is new, all of it is poorly constructed, with many stupid steps done solely because it looks interesting. It's like those five minute crafts where they smash a telephone with egg noodles for no reason.

There is an entire series of air conditioning units which never did a fluid sim or tested any of their products, and they ended up putting a airflow sensing tube right in the middle of some turbulence, which makes it not function properly. On every. Single. One. They just assume air is like electricity and flows in a straight line. Its so stupid.

@@cooldaddy2877 I haven't heard enough AI voices, but based on the low quality direction the world is taking, I can agree with you. As soon as phones start to use really good AI voices there will probably be a huge fad of people using AI voices in every single video instead of someone just talking. But even the best AI voices are bland and boring. Even if they get really accurate they will always be unable to be as expressive and original as people just talking. And even if they train them specifically to be like human expressiveness they will still feel flat and boring compared to actual people talking. If they ever succeed perfectly those ones will only be for very expensive voices that are only used by deepfakes and propaganda.

That is Soo cool, I think I'd build a heat exchanger to fit on top, use something like 20ga steel sheet metal to make a radiator, weld two pieces together, at the ends, about 8"-12" wide and 18" long, bow them apart, put a 1" spacer to hold it open, make about 8 of them, and connect them to 18gauge sheet box, with the pipe size inlet and outlet,. Basically a radiator without the fins use a tiny gear reduction motor, and about 12-16" fan , the 12v motor should spin the fan about 45-60 rpm, and pull 5-10 watts so a 12v 1amp power supply would be plenty, the fan is just enough to move the air, without causing problems from wind blowing objects, it should be about the same as the wind from convection from a hot stove! The IR heat from the tube is an awesome idea, I bet it's not cheap, but the whole project is awesome! And if you built the radiator and fan, maybe build a power feeder, using a motor and timer controller, to use a screw drive feeder, in a 3" pipe, with another gear reduction motor, spinning the screw in the pipe . About 10rpm to a possible 25 rpm, using a pwm speed controller, to send pellets up to the burn chamber, if it's slow enough it may not need a timer, just run constantly , build a steel storage for the pellets, nearly sealed from air Incase there is an issues, so a fire can't burn into the storage, run the screw at about 45° angle, putting a 20 lb pellet storage about 2' away, made from a square sheet metal box, about 12"x 12", with a 3mm plate lid, and a inverted pyramid base, with angle iron legs with the 3" pipe. Connected to the peak of the pyramid. Making the feeder possible, feeding into the fill point of the stove , by a box on the end of the pipe with the feed screw inside, use a 1/4" axel to be driven from either end, maybe use a spring loaded trap door at the top of the feeder of the stove, to trigger a micro switch when the feed of the stove is full the door will be stuck open, this will shut off the motor feeding the stove, preventing the need of a timer making the fire the timer, and the whole thing can be easily removed to operate it as normal, only require a 12v 2amp supply, that could use a thermal electric generator, to charge the battery, while the motor is not in use, but will probably require charging monthly or so, using a 10-15 ah lithium battery, using thermal electrics to charge at probably 50-100 ma Using the floor as a heat sink, and about 150°-200°F on the hot side the motor should not pull much wattage, and the run time should be low, with a maximum if 100 ma at 14v, the nominal power will probably be closer to 40ma, 24/7, could make up for the 12v 1000ma for 5 seconds, every 5-10 minutes, it may slowly discharge the battery, over a month, or so, I love this stove with the glass tube!! The light from it is also a plus!

Consider how this stove performs exactly like those expensive propane space heaters in fancy bars and night clubs they put outside on cold nights to warm their customers... They're designed for maximum heat radiation without regard to energy/fuel consumption. Here this stove uses basic physics to get the same heat out of a scoop of pellets that we use a 20 lbs bottle of propane to get out of commercial units.

@michaelamick8295
@michaelamick8295 Год назад
The one issue to improve thermal efficiency is to take almost all combustion air (both initial combustion and 2ndary chimney combustion) from exterior instead of interior as it must be replaced in the room by the colder exterior air keeping the room temp cooler than otherwise would be. However, some small amount of interior air should still be used for combustion to allow replacement fresh air into the room.
@mister-robo
@mister-robo Год назад
Yes, you are absolutely right, but it is not difficult to supply combustion air from outside, for example using a flexible duct.
@ohnemar4285
@ohnemar4285 Год назад
One step further if you pull the air right from outside, so the stove is 100% enclosed. Then you don't use the air of the room and pull the amount of used up air back into the room from the cold outside.
@leonardsaenz3160

@captainKedger Год назад
No. If you pull air from outside and heat it you're not going to warm up the room nearly as fast or efficiently as if the air in the room is cycling through the burner repeatedly. Most of the air you heat up goes right out the chimney and not into the room. The advantage of pulling air into the stove intake from outside is that it causes a positive pressure in the room rather than a negative pressure so instead of cold air seeping into the building from cracks you get hot air pushing out. If you're in a bomb shelter or fallout bunker positive pressure is crucial to preventing contamination getting inside.

@@user-fn3vy4ug2n cob is clay/mud mixed with organic material such as straw. Great for building a house but the straw will turn to carbon and your bricks will crumble if you use it for ovens. Instead use rocks but look for volcanic or porous rocks and avoid river rocks or quartz.... anything that makes sparks like flint or sat in water over time is likely to pop or explode causing the whole oven to fall in on itself. I started with an empty metal 55 gallon barrel but most of the metal was rusted out so it was basically just an archway and the metal lid made the door.

This is super nice and will make a great outdoor heater. I don't think this will be useful for indoor heating because you are pulling very large amounts of air from indoors and pumping it up the chimney. This lowers the ambient pressure in the cabin and will pull in as much cold air in the cabin as it expels through the tube. You could just add an air intake tube that takes the air outside. With the use of a custom wind tube with aeration running under the pellets. I can apply forced air to super heat the pellets then put my special mix of hardwood pellets and brine soak. Heads up ..I tried to put your name in the youtube search box and all that came up for when I put in Mr Robo was a tv show Mr. Robot . I think your channel is being pushed down. I think that they don't want pple to find your channel. Thank you for sharing knowledge.

I also just now tried to find my channel in RU-vid search, and I couldn't find it either. No, my channel is not blocked, as this is my content and there is nothing to block it for. Most likely it's just that my channel is quite young and RU-vid still doesn't give out my channel in the request. Thank you very much for writing me about this problem, I will contact technical support to correct the situation.

Without knowing more about your glass-tube design, I obviously can't speak from a knowledgeable position, however, I believe I heard you say that you had a surprisingly high radiant coefficient ! I can't help but wonder how much heat loss is being experienced out from the top of the tube, and exhausted to the outside atmosphere ! So, I have to admit to the old adage of "the curiosity killing the cat" ! Making any potential premature judgements, would be, just exactly that, "premature", and uneducated ! So, as a result of this video, I have to tell you, you have succeeded in getting me to not only hit the "like" button, but, the "subscribe" button, and the "all videos" notification bell as well ! So, if for nothing else, your video has definitely succeeded in bringing at least one curious mind on board, along with what I am quite sure will be hundreds more right ahead of, and hundreds more of, right behind me ! Bravo Sir ! On to the next steps to satisfy the curiosity seekers like myself ! Success is always in the details my friend, so now, on to the details ! 😎
