When I filmed this the ball lights were working, so they’re actually glowing. But I wasn’t using my laser and sensor, so I had to hit “s” after each ball. It took awhile to edit due to that.

@@BraedanBrennaman Yeah that was what I suspected. So this was filmed before you fixed the sensor?

This was filmed after the new sensor was in, but I was using the old transmitter with the new receiver and I hadn’t figured out how to make those work yet.

I use a dslr, but a tripod and a phone should work just fine.

@@BraedanBrennaman -- Honestly, I'm more interested in the specifics of how the floor is tilted (if at all), and how you suspended the curtain, and what it's made of, and how the cushion in back is made. I actually built one of these in the garage back in 1980 for my son. (Look for a video on RU-vid titled "The Lane I Built for My Son..."). There are similarities, and a whole lot of differences. Back in those days, these half-scale pins weren't available. And I also wonder if your miniature bowling balls have finger holes in them.

No finger holes in the balls, they are usually used for candlepin bowling. No tilted floor, we didn’t really have room to do that since the lane is only a few inches off the ground. The curtain is just a door mat made of durable rubber. I get mine at Lowes. The cushion in the back isn’t much, and it’s one of the things I want to improve. There’s a combination of foam and rubber (just like the curtain) but it’s not the greatest so I want to redesign it sometime.

I experimented with oil a few years ago and I don’t want to do it again, after that day the lane never seemed the same. It’s like there was residue left over even after I cleaned it and it took all of the hook away. The lane isn’t perfectly level, but we did our best to make it as flat as possible.

It really isn’t practical for the setup I have, so probably not.
