Amazing what those new trucks can do these days. With good all-terrains and a locker it can almost keep up with an old Disco on street tyres 😂 Time for some lift rods and tyres for the Disco, then you'll be unstoppable!
Dude that was a fun morning/arvo. Really the first time using the Hilux offroad, figuring out how to actually engage low4 and difflock was interesting. It's easy enough to flick a switch. But for it too actually engage there were steps that needed to be followed (I checked the manual when I got home 😅) same with disengaging. Looking into sliders/sidesteps and I'm contemplating a lift now. She did so well on that last climb. Geez just looking at the flex those rear wheels have is crazyyy. The disco performed soooo much better than I thought going up that last hill aswell. I thought it would be wheel spin all the way, I'm sure it'll have to have some tech like we spoke about where it locks a wheel in the air so traction goes to the other side. I watched a wheel go in the air spinning, then just stop while the other side kept creeping forward. Cool to watch. 2021 Hilux Rogue for viewers. And 1900kms on the clock when we started recording. Highly recommend the Rogue, it goes from looking like a work ute. To a vehicle you love the look of, inside and out. Until our next adventure Dougie. Maybe we hit some soft beach tracks? Preston or wedge maybe??? Camping???
Can you imagine another 5 or 10 years bro. I had a laugh with the dealer saying in 5 years when I upgrade (knowing my track record I give it 12 months) but said to the dealer when I trade in 5 years. We will have self flying cars... they are just evolving in leaps out bounds. Great spot for a bit of fun. Would be nice if it was how it was back in the day, where you could offroad for 100kms before reaching properties etc.
@@Danpayne1406 I miss those times when you could drive for a day with hitting a fence in the southwest. I have a track in Harvey I need to find the end of, it looked to have little use so could be a good little adventure
@@Adrenalfix oh that sounds like fun. Love the Southwest. So lush. If you head out there and I'm home hit myself or dougie up. I'd be keen for a day out.
Hey mate. Doug will confirm. But I think we turned up Nettleton Rd in Byford and drove about 10 minutes and you could see it from the road on the right...
