@@jayc6743 Not garaunteed, no. It's 50%, then a separate 30%. Still a very high chance to inflict some kind of status but not garaunteed

Tera Normal to get STAB for Double Edge otherwise it's completely pointless because it won't be stronger than Flare Blitz or Head Smash

@NoLongerAPerson It's still useful against ground/water and Ground/Dragon (I can think of at least a few good mons who fit those types). A stab Head Smash has a BP of 112.5 against those two type combos. Flare Blitz is less than that. I know it isn't much, but it's something. Tera Normal does make the damage difference greater, though.

Tmw Sneasler was already put on the OU council's radar before this video went up.

That sucks. It’s a powerful mon but very frail! Weavile is literally faster than it!

It does kinda suck. There's a lot of chatter on Smogon about Dire Claw specifically since it's a reliable attacking move that can inflict sleep. Kinda makes sticking to Sleep Clause on cart difficult if you want to use it over Poison Jab. But it's hard to say if the move is actually the only actionable part of Sneasler when it's the only pokemon with said move, and having Fighting STAB for the poison immune Steels is a big factor in DC's spammability. No guarantee action will be taken this weekend, but it's in the community's eye now.

The community is annoying. A lot of their issues can be solved if they just added item clause. But for this issue in particular they can just ban the move, make some leeway to sleep clause and make it so that you can put two targets to sleep instead of just one, or get rid of the clause completely. Getting rid of a mon that is outsped by most speedsters, ESPECIALLY in a generation where weather is commonly used and most mons have a speed boosting ability and its inferior counterpart is faster than it. Just banning it is very obsessive!

It's moreso leaning into Smogon policy discussion in some ways I think. Gamefreak's game design is changing over time, the community is changing over time, and Smogon's policies simply haven't changed all that much since they started getting more standardized. They haven't really needed to so far of course, but there's a surprising amount of process behind banning things other than entire pokemon from what I've gathered. The current Smogon policies are fairly rigid. Magearna, Ursaluna, and the Zamazentas are likely more pressing issues than Sneasler right now though, so those are probably going to get more scrutiny initially.

Typing yes. Offensive might makes regular nine look like a puppy. Rock head flare blitz, head smash and wild charge is ridiculous

@@Giratina575 with only 90 speed nah. It’s not outsped most threats and can’t take hits with that typing. Not to mention, head smash is the only new move he gets from those moves… not much with that 80% accuracy

Most ground and water types types are slow anyways. And it complete outclassed the regular one typing isn't everything

And 306 is enough to outspeed most things anyways
