NEW HOLLAND COMPACT TRACTORS! WorkMaster and Boomer walk around. The New Holland tractor is an awesome machine. I walk around the WorkMaster 25, the Workmaster 35 and Workmaster 70 in this video. I finish up by looking at the Boomer 45. I really liked the New Holland compact tractor lineup.

Did you happen to glimpse at the manufacturer tag? It says "made in Korea by LS". I looked at New Holland's for our tractor. Until we found out that LS builds small New Holland tractors. So, we saved about $10,000.00 and bought from the horses mouth. We are happy with our purchase so far. I think Korean tractors are better the=an Japanese tractors.They are built heavy like an "India built" tractor. But more attention to quality. I know there is a lot of wining on RU-vid about LS tractors. I have found that if one knows a bit about mechanical issues, this would save a lot of owners time and trouble. Tractors need a lot more love than a car to keep running properly. They just do. And if one takes care of any tractor, they will run longer than some people live. You have a great delivery. I decided to subscribe. Thanks
@HamiltonvilleFarm
@HamiltonvilleFarm 4 года назад
Thank you for subscribing. Yeah we talked to the salesman about the relationship with LS. I also am good buddies with Tony from Tony's Tractor Adventure on RU-vid (if you haven't seen his channel, he has tons of great LS videos) and we talked about it some too. I agree with about taking care of them. Again, thanks for the support. It is truly appreciated.

Who are you referencing on Japanese built tractors? Especially the bigger tractors used for AG are made in Italy for New Holland. They did a special edition one year and used a Maserati blue ( fiat group owns both Maserati and Case New Holland) it was a really sharp looking unit. I believe it was a T7

One of the biggest problems regardless of where it's built, if it's not a common rail don't get it with a DPF + Computer based regen. And yeah buy from as close to the source producer as you can provided they're not so concerned with producing rebrands for another company while have no dealer network of their own to really speak of.

My Boomer 3050 with a CVT transmission and Supersteer has some nice features and looks nice but there could have been be MUCH better design when it comes to changing the engine oil, and engine coolant! Whoever designed the parts related to access of doing these things seems to have been greatly lacking in common sense and needs to learn a lot about ease of doing things. The battery is undersized for the engine compared to other tractors so I shoehorned in a larger battery. Also, the toolbox is incredibly tiny! Interestingly, in the Operator's Manual, it suggests to put the manual in the toolbox! It won't even fit even when rolled up and who wants to roll up a thick manual? And then where is the room to put your tools, and etc? This is stupidity. There were quite a few other issues concerning workmanship when it was assembled or dealer prepped that had to be resolved.

Nice review, Hank. As a former New Holland dealer manager it's good to see the brand getting some positive attention. For people debating the inevitable LS vs NH question, there are a couple things to consider beyond just price when purchasing. New Holland offers robust in house financing usually at zero or really low rates which LS does not. If financing an LS at standard "bank" rates, you'll pay about the same in the end vs. zero rate from NH. NH loaders are not the same as LS. They lift higher and have further forward reach, and are made by Alo in Tennessee. NH stocks LS replacement parts in their own warehouses across the US. I've been told they have better parts availability than even LS for their own tractors, since they are LS's biggest single customer. Lastly, dealer support is huge. Admittedly NH support can be hit or miss depending on dealer, but there are a lot more NH dealers out there with qualified service departments than LS dealers. Not knocking LS at all, they have a decent product and are making headway. Just some things to consider for the guy in the market. Oh, and I like the NH waterfall grille much better than the LS attempt. Lol. Take care!
@HamiltonvilleFarm

Right on. I think LS has taken a step back in the last two years. I think you will see them start dropping in sales unless they change things within the organization.

Excellent review of several well built and beautifully built machines! 👍 But once I discovered LS builds most of NH's smaller tractors, I went to the LS dealer and got more for my money than the NH dealer could give me. Their shade of blue paint costs a bit more than I can handle. Either is a good choice, but you get more with the LS. No rubber floor mat on the Workmaster NH, really? LOL.

Great video and what I can tell you about from past experience with these tractors was when they were all shibaura based tractors they were very competitive and bullet proof... But when they switched to the LS based tractors the quality and reliability went down a lot.. The LS based models are more to sell on price to compete. It's become more common to see some New Holland dealers pick up kioti brand offering . Much like the same reason Case IH is offering Kubota or Mahindra since Case IH and New Holland are the same tractors but Case IH doesn't offer much for tractors under 30 horsepower anymore

Shibaura-built tractors were the best on the market in their day and still are in my opinion. Got mine and it would take a fortune to part with it. Found one for my father in law and he's hooked, too. Wish CNH would just buy Shibaura or go back to them.
@matthewtomberlin7733
@matthewtomberlin7733 4 года назад
I was told by my former NH territory rep that NH moved away from Shibaura for two reasons, Japanese tsunami really hurt Shibaura's supply chain ability to supply tractors, and they went up on price to the point that NH couldn't be competitive in the USA market. Hence, LS came to the rescue. They're not bad tractors, just don't have the quality materials and fit/finish as the Shibaura's.

I am trading in a Workmaster 70 this week. It is a very powerful tractor, but it is crudely designed. Things like a piece of metal alongside the clutch pedal that catches the toe of my boot when I'm trying to release the clutch. Also the routing of the hydraulics going to the loader is poorly thought out. They stick up right where a branch can catch on them. The trans shifts slowly and is just about impossible to do smoothly. It was built in India and it acts like it.

That Boomer model tractor I would want if I was looking for a new tractor and the gas tank and fuel fill position on some of their models appeal to me and if we had a New Holland dealership closer to where I live it probably would have been the brand I would have gotten the second time around. I have two John Deere tractors purchased at different times and there have not been changes made in the fuel tank location, and refill cap location. The battery location is hard to get to also on both tractors and it would have been nice to have the rear connection hydraulic connections on them. There's always going to be customer preference and I'm no different. Whilst I was looking and trying to decide what tractor to purchase it took me 18 months of researching brands such as John Deere, Yanmar, Mahindra, New Holland, Kioti, Bobcat, Kubota, Lovol Flotan, Massey Ferguson, Case, Zeto and another brand beginning with an M sounds like Macmillan or Macgraw sorry the names not coming to me. Anyways after months and months of looking around dealership after dealership asking questions driving salesmen crazy we where able to narrow it down to two brands Massey and Kubota. In the end Kubota won out. Why? Overall better build quality, heavier implements in my case a backhoe attachment and 4 in 1 combination front bucket with the third function valve set up for the bucket clam action. Both come with the top line 3 point hitch but Kubota had heavier lift capacity on the rear hitch and front end loader. The model we chose was L4240 HST Hydrostatic and this machine is unbelievable what it is capable of doing. The hoe is the BH92 with an 11 foot dig depth and insane ground breaking force and over 3000lb lift capacity. This machine has pushed down trees with 10" thick trunks at the base and then picked them up with the front clam bucket. Never let us down surpassed all expectations. Great fuel usage can work it's ass off for a full 10 hour shift before filling up. You can speed up or slow down front loader cycle times for faster into and out of the dirt pile and fast lift to dump into a truck. It really can't be beat and I know from years of experience operating heavy earth moving equipment the other brands would have failed me purely by the material used in their buckets and attachments no way as heavy as the Kubota. So here we are, I'm 66 and retired, had the machine since 2011 and will never part with unless we move to a larger property and decide to go bigger with the equipment. It has very low speed cruise control for slow tilling barely creeps along. Try other brands and watch the front end loaders twist or buckets bend and crack seams. Mahindra is the worst, look and feel like they are made from baked bean cans. I was at one point almost sold on a New Holland Boomer special model that was made to look like an old style 1930's or 40's model Ford 8N but after more research and talking to owners they talked me out of it as the tractor was loaded with sensors that kept going wonky and where in the shop more than the fields nice looking though very nostalgic. Anyways that's my two cents worth. Just do your due diligence. Lots of stuff out there is rebranded crap. Don't pay extra for green paint please, it ain't worth it and the Kubota will leave them in the dust guaranteed. I offer this from my own personal findings and usage. I am not paid or receive anything from anyone for this review. Good luck if your searching. One quick note, don't waste time checking out different Kubota dealerships for better pricing. Prices are set by Kubota and most dealerships have their own areas and will not sell to you if there is one closer to your address. That's their policy. Just remembered the other brand was McCormic 👎

New Holland is definitely heavier in the compact class than the JD E series.

That's a cool tractor. I sent you a follow up email. Let me know where you stand with an email back, thanks.

Whats the cost difference from RK and New Holland? RK seems to come with upgrades as standard....why would you buy a tractor without remotes? Hmmmm

I love the ford tractors not so much when they went to new Holland I own a 3600 Ford and a 2000 ford they are great heavy tractors I’ve owned new Holland tractors not near the tractor as the old ones but honestly no body builds tractors,trucks,cars,TVs etc like they used to

Any tractor that still uses U-Joints instead of bevel gears on the front end, is a complete no go for me.

@@HamiltonvilleFarm Ive had experience with U-Joints on the front end drive axle of small farm tractors in the past, and it wasn't good.

A common theme with all new tractors, terrible tool boxes. Seems like someone could build custom toolboxes and make a few bucks.
