Thanks for watching. It turns out that I only had to put $400-$500 into the machine. Aside for a couple of hoses rubbing through and the brakes making a horrible noise (which I fixed) it has been a good machine. It uses oil but oil is cheap compared to an engine.
We have one of these Skid Steers. It has been very reliable over the years. I know you stated that you do not use it much, but it can do an enormous amount of work.
Nice, a relatively inexpensive fix, I like those..... Its much easier to access than my last excavator was, that needed the entire cab removed to service the starter......
Yes, I believe it does. It was a long time ago. I don't remember how the brake caliper comes apart. I think there are two bolts on the inside you have to take off. I can't remember if I showed that in another video.
Hello, how do u remove the rear Axel's? My dad said the rear /right side (if ur sitting inside) By looking at your video. My dad said the whole base is on. But the tire, rim and the axel came off as a whole. Thanks in advance. Have a great and blessed happy New years. :)
Mario Rodriguez Remove the wheel from the hub, then remove the eight nuts that hold the axle housing on. Then pull the hub, axle and housing off as a whole unit. Thanks
1crazynordlander hello. my dad already removed the hub. thanks to you. my dad said he found a bearing and some broken lock with some washers. do u have a Video on how to assemble it? thanks
+Mario Rodriguez New Holland Parts has a great website to see parts diagrams. Sorry, I did not video any assembly. I am not sure where these locks and washers would have come from. You might have to bring them into a NH dealer and show their service people.
1crazynordlander Thanks brother. :) God Bless. I'll let my dad know. My dad also said that ,that break disc was not present. (that you display on this video) Thanks again. :) From Houston Texas
I don't know. I think most of these models are designed the same way. If you go to New Holland's parts website you can open up a parts catalog and look for yourself. If you get lucky someone might have a service manual you can download from the internet.
I have 05 LS170 New Holland have same thinks in the drive boxes and main drive at middle of the drive boxes makes graindin noises if any body know why making that graindin noises if it's normal or what's going on in Maine drive thinks. Thank you
@@andyjahandar7158 I would not know. All I can tell you is I found that the brake disks splines were wore out which made the grinding noise I heard. I took my side cover off of the outer chain drive and found the disk problem. It makes a loud grinding noise which I thought was going to be either drive bearings or gears but I was wrong thankfully.
Tony Gatto I don't think so. There are no connecting links or half links available as far as I know. I honestly have not checked to see if anyone else makes replacement chains for these. John Deere has the same unit except for the engine. sometimes there parts are cheaper or not.
