Thank you for making the video. i just drove one of these today for the first time. i have not been on a tractor for twenty five yesars. this was a fantastic experience. new holland seems to be very good at making the tractor easy to use. the mother in law had a backhoe like attachment and rototiller attachment which I hope to learn to use. THanks again.
It's nice to see the manufacturers are standardizing the controls for the most part. Dad has a John Deere, about the same size, and looks like it runs the same.
Are you pressing the gas pedal on the right with your foot? The throttle on the dash is just to set the revs where you want them. Then you use the foot pedal to actually accelerate the tractor. There is an emergency brake lever under the right hand side of the seat...it's a little T handle. If it's set, you need to press the brake lever down to release it ( The brake pedal is the one in front of the gas pedal on the right side)
Thanks! My neighbor offered to let me borrow his tractor while he was out of town. However, the labels on the controls were peeling and faded. I couldn't get it to crank. I knew enough to put the parking brake on and gear in neutral but wasn't sure about which position to put the PTO. This information should help!
@OhioBeeFarmer That super steer is pretty awesome. I had considered getting it when I bought mine, but the dealer didn't have any in the showroom at the time and I can be a little impatient. Sometimes I think I'd probably get myself into trouble if mine steered any tighter though, like when I'm moving around with the bucket loaded. You're right, more power is always good. Thanks for watching!
@rubbishdude98 Honestly, I'd say they're pretty equal. I can tell you that I have owned the New Holland since 2002 and haven't had any trouble. I couldn't be happier with it.
@tommmmmmmmx I believe New Holland still makes equipment in yellow as well. The coolest paint scheme is on their new 2010 Boomer 8N model that is styled after the old Ford 8N's. I have a video of it on my channel.
Never got a reply from the dealer after contacting them 4 times. I did get a TC33D from a guy in Tennessee really nice tractor for $6740, dealer wanted $7800 for a tractor that had the right engine panel missing $611.00 from Messick's. The 4- way flasher where gone. About $140 for both Seat was totally ruined. Got a way better deal kinda glad the dealer never called me back ended up getting a way better tractor plus a 6 ft. finishing mower.
Here in GA don't have to worry about snow. Mainly will be used to till, bush hog and finish mowing. I got the TC33D mainly for the 4 wheel drive as some of the properties that I mow are pretty rough ground. 40 or 50 HP would be nice but my Farmall is just 18HP and it does the work with no problem so the 33HP should be a breeze for what I will be using it for.
I just inherited a New Holland tractor that is similar to yours. Thanks to your video I can start it, put it in gear, lift up the bucket and rev the engine, but she doesn't actually move. Is there a step missing? Maybe a cleverly hidden emergency brake that I need to release? Any help would be appreciated.
What does the rocker switch on the left hand side do? The standalone switch that is on the other side in the same line as the hazard and the headlights.
@BourneAccident Thanks for the kind comments. Believe me, you'll be real happy with the New Holland. I haven't had a bit of trouble out of it and it does everything I ask of it. Thanks for watching.
There is a little red handle below the seat on these. Have any idea what it does? I can't figure it out. I was thinking parking brake because I don't know how to engage the parking brake on this thing!
I just picked up a used one. That's been sitting outside and all my controls. Have no stickers driving blind. Can I get new stickers for the control lovers?
It has NOTHING to do with PTO speed, it controls the rate that the 3 point hitch lowers. As the 3 point lowers by gravity and depends on how much any implement weighs. A heavy implement will fall faster than a light one as the knob controls the rate the fluid flows from the 3 pt cylinder back into the reservoir. Adjust as needed to set the rate of descent
Can anyone tell me how to identify tractors? I don't know what a boomer is, I don't know what TC33D stands for, I don't know what all the different numbers and letters means basically. Thank you.
That is a question that cannot be answered. Is Ford better than Chevy, is Dodge better than all? What models are we talking about? Better how? What features are you comparing? Just cannot be answered.
