Liked the video! I have a 1997 1925 which was the prototype for what is the Boomer series! They are very similar. You have a few refinements not available on the 1925. The bucket is rated for approximately 800 lbs. My parking brake works by twisting although supposed to go up and down. Go figure! We used ours for 22 yrs everyday caring for 24 horses on a horse farm. Hauled manure, hogged 15 acres of pasture 5 or 6 times a season, dug hundreds of holes with a post hole digger. Back bladed snow up to 23ins, turf tires, 4wd, no chains, 2nd gear, no problem! Have never found something it won't do within its parameters and sometimes beyond them! We have 3485 hrs on ours ,serviced religiously and very minimal issues over the years! Just refurbished its appearance! Cleans up really well, better than I do! LOL Good luck with it, you will love it! Bill
Bought my TC29D new in 1999. Has 1400 hours. Loader & Backhoe also. The only thing you missed was the Tilt & Telescoping column. Does not work in mine anymore. By the way the Rhino backhoe looks identical to the New Holland brand. I need to replace shock on tilt column because it drops to the seat and is very aggravating. Only problems have been 2 cut hydraulic lines (my fault). Complete filter kits from NAPA for about $200. Also removed loader once and backhoe many times for horizontal log splitter, PTO boom lift, and York rake. Moved a lot of snow, dug tree stumps, trenches, and moved some very large pieces of ledge.
BTY ... No need to remove 3 Pt hitch to install backhoe. Just raise all the way up, remove center link and back into hoe. Good luck, it's a little tricky. Also, back '98 I was looking at Deere 955 vs TC29D both 4x4 ... New Holland was less $$$, had one rocker pedal toe/forward & heel/reverse. JD two pedals. NH also had mid-PTO. When it came time to buy, JD changed their whole series to the 4100,4200, etc. Happy with the NH from a family of Green tractors. Kubota, good machines ... just can't look at orange all day.
My tilt and telescoping steering wheel didn’t work either, that’s why they weren’t in the video. I did replace the tilt cylinder (I think I got it on eBay) and that part does work now. I’ll try not removing the three point next time I put the backhoe on.
I have the same model 2001 TC-33D I had the same issue with the parking brake light staying on. There is a switch for the parking brake. It probably has gone bad. I bought a new switch from Messick's and it fixed mine. The switch is $123. It is in a pretty tight spot. Was able to get it out ok but putting the new one in took a little longer. Also had to replace the Hazard light switch $78. I don't know if the TC33-D has brake lights. I had to replace both of the tail lights as they where corroded $68 each. I do have working tail lights but no brake lights. The cruise control switch on my tractor worked but it was sloppy in the housing so when you depressed the switch it won't engage. I used a couple of styrene strips to shim it now it works great. Also had to replace the glow plug timer. Found one on Ebay for a Kubota tractor but it is basically the same timer. New Holland parts are kinda pricey. Also had to replace the tilt steering shock absorber. Found one new on Ebay cheaper than Messick's. Pretty easier to do just takes a few hours.
Nice job on the video and walk around. I have one of these as well (TC33D), nice tractor. Were either of you able to find the serial no.? I'e read that it's under the left foot plate but there is nothing riveted there nor was there ever so far as I can tell. I've also heard it's on the bell housing but I must be looking in the wrong place. If either of you could lend a hand it would be much appreciated!
Not sure if you figured it out but on mine the glow plug light comes on just before the starter engages I hold it there and it will go out then start. Also a block heater is a necessity in cold climates.
A great video, you really explained parts of my tractor (not exactly the same model, but close enough!) that I had been wondering about. I inherited it with almost zero training. How did you know which model you have? I don't see that anywhere on my New Holland. Have you been able to find those gear labels anywhere? All of mine are completely gone.
For the cruise control you just get to the speed you want and then press on the forward green button until the light comes on and it should hold speed, you've probably figured that out beings you posted this a year ago though
Great walk around. I have the same tractor. Did you ever make the video of removing the 7308 loader? I have not been brave enough to take mine off yet.
There is a little red T-handle below the seat on these. Have any idea what it does? I can't figure it out. I was thinking parking brake because I don't know how to engage the parking brake on this thing!
That is the parking brake. Pull up on the handle and apply the brake, you should feel and hear a ratcheting. Release the brake pedal and it should stay down, press on the brake pedal and it should release. I had to replace my cable, it was broken under the tractor.
Have you ever GPS'ed the top speed in third? It was advertised as a 15mph road gear, but I never get more than 9. Seems to be a common problem, but no one has discussed where there is an adjustment, if there is one.
Tried it today. I got a steady 11mph and hit 12mph once. There are bolts in the floorboard under the pedal that are used as stops. Adjusting those down may increase the speed.
