In this video Big Tractor Power spends time in the field with a fleet of NEW HOLLAND farm machines. Two 449 hp 350 bu. NEW HOLLAND CR8090 combines are harvesting wheat with a 400 hp NEW HOLLAND T9.450 4wd and a 340 hp NEW HOLLAND T8.390 GENESIS tractor on grain cart duty with a J&M 1401 Grain Storm grain cart. Watch for two 340 hp NEW HOLLAND T8.390 GENESIS tractors seeding double crop soybeans behind the combines with a KINZE 3700 planter and JOHN DEERE 1990 CCS drill.

Another fine video Jason. I enjoyed the move where the second combine turned to cut the wheat the first combine missed because he had to raise the head on the uneven ground. Not a big thing, but it looked kind of cool. Like it was saying "you're not getting away from us!!"

It is nice to see farmers get their products out of the field goes to show that we’re not gonna have a food shortage and that is very good hopefully the rest of the summer is like that and then to the fall

Cool video Jason. Thanks for your efforts. I've always loved the design of the J&M Grain Storm grain carts. It's interesting how farms will run most of their equipment of a certain brand. New Holland combines don't get the credit they deserve.👍👍👍

Love new holland combines. I run a 9080 and two 9070s and use tg 230 and a tg 285 tractors.

Our neighbor used to have a combine just like that one and would cut our wheat and oats.Unfortunately it caught on fire last year and burnt down. We have an old jd6620

Bigtractorpower at my dad's dairy farm in California we use a new Holland t7.250 with tinted windows, double rear end tires for our ten row planter. I really recommend u making a video with that tractor. Honestly it's a really great tractor and very useful around our farm.

When I now started farming I owned a couple of these combines. Sold them later on for the class 9 Fendt and JD.

I liked the NH CR9.60. We had 3 CR's The first model. A CR960 and the last was a two were CR 9.60. The last one I think is still curent. I did not like the last one. The hydrostatics were to small to drive it how I use to and they have gone to a electric setup for the forwed revers control handle. I hated I did not mind it in the T7 we had but in the combine where I needed fine control coming in to the field bins and the truck it was not much fun. We had over the years a TX34, TR98, CR 960, CR9.60 and then another CR9.60.

Yes the “Push and hold to accelerate” Is annoying. They are putting it in the AGCO combines as well. However, I did not know that the newer NH suffered from a weak hydrostatic drive.

Is J&M tied into the Brent/Unverferth model of auger wagons? See a lot of J&M and Brent carts in Nebraska but not a lot of Kinze, which the KY guys really seem to like.

Yes. Sometimes herbicide is not enough. This was a low area. It is Johnson Grass which is thick and fast growing. It’s not a big deal it is gets cut and spread and does not impact the grain.

Why do some farmers and harvesters use the stripper heads on their combines and others use the conventional cutter/thresher machines?

Do the weeds being harvested with the wheat affect the quality of the grain?

Not really, the weeds are separated from the wheat inside of the combine. The combine usually does a really good job of separating the two so its just the grain inside the tank. The quality of the grain stays the same.

I know water is heavy so obviously there is no way to hold thousands of gallons onna combine, but it would make visibility so much better if you could mist a slight spray of water over the output of the combine...
