Bless you for not using a blurring filter. Seriously it’s high time we start seeing skin textures as sexy and beautiful; (and you are stunningly beautiful and sexy) It is rare to be older than ten and still have baby skin. Some do, but most of us get all sorts of textures and colors. And eventually we all do. The standard of beauty shouldn’t be based on the exceptional and rare; we CAN reject inadequacy marketing. Ive been DYING for you to try it. I was going to wait until you reviewed it first because my skin is so oily but I couldn’t wait! I’ve been using it a few months now. I prefer to double wear as double wear looked cakey on me and I SWEAR it almost ‘stretched’ my pores and made them larger over time. Love the Nars soft matte

I only trust Nikkia’s reviews as they’re so honest. And as a fellow oily/textured/imperfection prone skin, her opinion is the only opinion I trust! Also the only ‘RU-vidr/influencer’ brand I’ve purchased from. Love all her products. Only thing I haven’t tried yet is her brushes and loose pigments. I absolutely LOVE her lashes, sponges, highlight palette and her setting powder! 10000000% recommend!

@@Ashley-vm1bd I have dry skin but I love the look of matte foundations. I just can’t wear them. Well i can SOMETIMES get away with it but I have to prep and moisturize my skin really good. When I was younger I had oily skin though.

So far I think NARS is the most consistent with all their products being good. I have 3 different types of their foundations, including this one, as my holy grails and their concealer.

@@amietiger8464 I don’t think anything covers texture well. A good primer might help better with that? I usually use putty primers and try to be light with my foundation or else it just gets cakey looking with any foundation. And then I’d avoid powder or I go over with a light coverage of foundation powder to set. That’s been my routine lately. Very little foundation and use foundation powder to set and cover a little more. I do like the nars concealer in the little pot. But you do have to use darker concealer than the scar is like with anything you use always go dark on the concealer and then go over it with your foundation. Basically you are trying to get the foundation to stick to something over the scar is why. But overall I enjoy the nars concealer and foundation - both the dewy and the matte one. I have all three nars foundations. Hope that helps?

Two of my friends and I all bought this foundation last week and LOVE it! Though I have noticed that using it for a few days in a row has made my skin feel a lot dryer than normal (I’m combo/oily skin). Definitely make sure to be very moisturized before using it if you don’t have oily skin!

I've seen on IG that LA Girl has some color drops that can make the foundation cooler, warmer, more neutral, etc. Maybe you could try those if the shade you get is too dark/light?

Same here! All of it is too yellow for me. I tried two that were cool tones and still yellow. I’m truly light olive colored but pretty much nobody makes foundation with that undertone.

You could try setting up an account with a parcel forwarding service where you can get the foundation sent to an American address and then forwarded to your Australian address. I have used ‘Shipito’ for makeup in the US.

@@everogersdownunder1242 companies like ‘Shipito’ can give you an address in the US to have the foundation sent to (like a warehouse facility) and then it’s forwarded to your Australian address. In terms of shade matching you can try findation.com and enter in shades of other foundations that are a good match. The site will then give you the best match in the NARS foundation based on the foundations you entered. Hope this helps!

This is now my favorite! I switched over from Estee Lauder DWF bc as much as I loved the coverage, color, and coverage… it creases around the nose area… NARS doesn’t do this! It’s the perfect foundation ive ever had.

I want to try this foundation really bad but I feel like it would look awful on my dry skin. I use to have combo and it was way easier dealing with rather than dry skin. I would take oily, literal greaseball face over dry skin ANYDAY. Lol

I wanted to love this foundation as it looked amazing the first 3 hours after application, but then it started separating gradually to the point where I ended up with small dots of foundation all over my face. I pretty much looked like a reptile by the end of the day. 🥴 I ended up returning it since it also had an oil/grease-like smell. Might have been a bad batch. Who knows... 🤔

I bought this in November last year. I had a difficult time finding the right shade and had to exchange at Sephora. I still think its a tiny bit too warm but I'll live with it. I do like how matte the formula is. Unfortunately, I picked the wrong time of year to try it as it ended up being to drying for my normally very oily t-zone. I'm excited to try once the weather warms up!

I’ve watched many reviews of this and it sounds like a dream becoming true! The coverage looks higher than the estee lauder and the foundation doesn’t look as heavy 😍 How would you compare the coverage of this foundation to the Huda beauty one? Because I like the coverage of that one but it doesn’t wear so well.

Definitely no oil with this one. However, I think your skin looked more natural and beautiful with the Too Faced matte foundation. Also the color looked a little lite. I’m still going to try it since I have pretty oily skin.

I know she recommends Stay Matte primer by Rimmel, I bought it on her suggestion, and I really like it. I use it on my t-zone and a hydrating one under my eyes and everywhere else (I'm not saying that's necessary, but I'm over 40 and trying to be extra kind to my eye area). You can get get a 2 pack on Amazon for $8.36, or $7.11 with subscribe and save. Hope that helps

It caked on my oily skin, I found the 2faced born this way matte performed better. It didn't cake or separate. The Nars one isn't as good as double wear in my opinion. I also notice that the oily skin reviews on the Nars website are reporting the same issue about caking and settling into pores when the oils come through

Am i the only one who has issues with this foundation? I was so excited to try this and i planned a trip to London just to go and get this foundation from a Nars shop to be sure i get my shade match perfectly. I tried it about 5 times now with primer, without primer, with powder without powder , with a brush, with a beauty blender , i always wear a setting spray and for some reason it cakes up on my skin like craaazzyy after just 4h. I am nowhere near as oily as Nikkia, but i am still an oily type. I do not understand what i'm doing wrong as i've been doing exactly what i do with my other foundations and they are absolutely superb on the skin and look very smooth and natural but for some reason this one doesn't work. Is there anyone else who has this issue ? If i touch my skin it slides off the skin like its a balmy foundation, it's very greasy and a complete mess. If i'm doing anything wrong please let me know, i need HELP, this is a £30 foundation, i need it to work! 😩

This would be perfect for me because I can never find a concealer that doesn’t crease under my creepy eyes, it’s an all in one foundation, just a shame that our Mecca here in Australia 🇦🇺 doesn’t sell it, I’m getting sick of having to purchase products online and having to pay the exchange rate and shipping costs it just doesn’t make sense Why Mecca doesn’t sell this foundation, not everyone has access to online shopping from different stores unless your a RU-vidr. @@-nellie-m3711 Mecca has "exclusivity" contracts with a lot of brands meaning that they can ONLY be sold in Mecca. Those brands you will never find in Myer, David Jones or anywhere else, ONLY MECCA because the brand signed a contract saying they'll only sell to AU through Mecca. Because of this, you cannot buy those brands (like Nars) from any overseas retailer. IE at Cult Beauty, you can buy lots of other brands but if you try to put a Nars product in your cart it will say "cannot ship this product to Australia". It's a whole thing. Lot of consumer very angry at Mecca about this.

@@catgandini Thank You Kindly for explaining that to me, I get so frustrated with trying to buy skincare products here that are sold in the USA but not here, we have some of the products from brands but not all of them, I’m wanting to try the Drunk Elephant baby facial but Mecca doesn’t sell it and I’m not sure if they even ship that product to Australia 🇦🇺 all because of the ingredients and our Australian standards, we are so behind the times when it comes to makeup and skincare products, whenever we’ve travelled to the USA, I bring home a hand luggage bag full of products that I can’t buy here and now it looks like I won’t be doing any travelling any time soon. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😗😗

The Nars longwear was a fail for me. Sunk straight into pores and fine lines. Would love to give this a go though if we could get it here in NZ (prob in 6 months time 🤣) Thanks Nikkia for the review...looks like a fantastic product!

This foundation is a joke. I also have oily skin and need a foundation to last all day. Even with setting, it breaks up and my oil comes through. It looks so bad I can't wait to wash my face at the end of the day. The only reason why I sometimes use it is because it is the closest shade match I've ever had. Wish it would've worked.

Exactly the same happened to me and I saw loads of reviews saying it broke up and settled into pores as soon as the oils came through. I've complained to nars and demanded a refund. Really disappointing because it's the only Nars foundation that did this. The too faced born this way matte doesn't quite control oil as well as ELDW but is a great alternative for days when you don't want that heavy base that you get with DW and can take a lot of blotting etc without caking or shifting.

I just went out and bought the Nars foundation after your review. I wear a mask for 8 hours at work on and off at work. You looked fabulous with it on. Hope I have as much luck.
