These are pretty stout and stellar runners. I have the MT version of this (the X16 )which shares the same chassis and brushless 2212 outrunner this has in it. All I can say is these are a ton of fun and definitely bash worthy. On 3s though, you will strip out those plastic drive cups rather quickly. I’ve already had to replace 2 of them already. Everything else is holding up great and I find the servo to have a slight delay or maybe it’s just a tad too slow. I put oil filled shocks immediately on mine and they made night and day difference! The nice thing is, that because the X16 was released earlier this year, that means parts are readily available for both x15 and 16 on Amazon at great prices too! Loved the chase down with the drone! Nice flying my friend! ✈️🚁🛸😎👍🏻
This right here is pretty sick. Surprised to see it using an out runner motor. Set of decent shocks will have it running right. Great showcase boys. 🤘🏻
Great review! Some people have had bad experiences with hosim but when you consider budget off brand rc’s I think they are one of the better options. That’s because with the x07 & x08 they had drag brake and other issues when they first came out and they went and addressed those. Now they are expanding their line and putting out something unique to them instead of just rebranding a hyper go (even though they do that) it’s just nice to see. Do they have issues yes but it’s nice to see their approach in the budget market
I have the X-O8 and my wife has the X-O7. They still have a slight braking problem when you barely press on the throttle. I wish they would fix that. I would get this car but it seems to have the same problems. It's terrible on the gearing. If they would make a budget basher with a center differential, I would definitely consider that. They have the Venum, but that's a little out of my price range at the moment. Keep up the good work with your channel! I need to put more content out on my channel. I'm failing at that. I'm limited to places to bash. I'm not sure if you are subscribed to my channel or not but if not, please do and thank you in advance. I watch all of your videos and like I was saying, keep up the good work!! 👍
200 + dollars isn't budget friendly. I spent 229 on my x08, then 400 more on parts. It was the worst buy I've ever made. Diffs are trash, drivetrains are trash, esc is trash, the wheel on the transmitter broke after just a couple of uses, I spent more money on that r.c. than any of my r.cs combined. Absolutely garbage.
I feel like I should have known that having drone experience, but I just didn't realize one of those little motors could pack that much punch on its own.
I would like to know more about upgrading to the 3s lipo? Im a newbie and my son and i got a duble amazon pack with two brushless. This is one of the models, but i am not sure how to upgrade the battery and its currently slow, but runs for a really good while. If you could help explain the upgrade and the battery you used, that would be awesome!
I guess I should have expected the torque since we've had several drones in the past, but it still really surprised me that one of those little motors could propel that car the way it did by itself! Impressive! It makes me wonder what an even larger outrunner could do in a ground RC.
Mine hasn't shown signs of trouble yet, but I've only bashed it maybe 4 or 5 times. Time will tell. But you could always put any power system you want in one.
@@bryanbercier6225 it's plenty durable for bashing as the video shows, but I'm not sure yet about adding more power to the drivetrain. Though, if it can handle the torque of that 2212 motor, I imagine it could handle a slightly higher KV system with a smidge more punch as well. But I wouldn't go beyond a 60A power system. High KV at low punch should be just fine.
WOW, I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me, I might have to check those out because I love the sound they make, and I'm impressed by how powerful that little motor was. It's so tiny!
It looks small to me as well! Like a 14scale hyper go. Im positive it's not a true 10th scale. But looks every bit like its worth $120.00! Spend another $80.00 on better ESC and oil fiiled shocks and it could be worth the investment?🤔
🤷♂️ how the wing & body held up so well must b better Quality than the x-07 cause i feel like one good hit & the body is junk so its kinda on shelf till i shoogoo & drywall tape it lol when i got it it came with 2 bodys & thought id b better to leave both on but they both just disintigrated at same time lol😂haha nevermind i see the wing just barely hanging on by thread did the body at least not break?
The auto drag brakes are a pain in the @$$, not sure if they are adjustable on this model, but it's definitely the one downside Hosim is known for, It's body style reminds me of my Traxxas Rustler VXL Ultimate.
I'm not all that good at unboxings. Many other channels are, but I just can't pull it off for some reason. At least I don't think so. Maybe I'll try again in future videos.
Hosim is the most garbage you can buy. Don't even waste your money, for 200 dollars you get the pleasure of spending 300 more on junk pot metal parts just to drive them.
