The door for office screams country farmhouse. My vote is the door. The glass frames make it farmhouse. So pretty, your house.

The only drawback to the gravel path is the little stone pieces get stuck in sneaker treads. If the shoes are worn inside the house your floors will get damaged

Oh, please use the cow wallpaper….the kids will always remember the cow bathroom. Adorable

Gosh Any . I’m so excited for you . What a dream come true ! I’ve lived in my home for 37 years and so wish I could decorate a bigger new farmhouse . Note … if you chicken out with your cow wallpaper , you could always frame a large piece of the walllaper and use it on the wall 🐂🐂🐂

Absolutely keep the door. It’s PERFECT!

Consider a darker grey grout with your gorgeous penny tile marble flooring in the bath and shower. Grout always dries lighter than color swatch. Dark grey will look amazing and save you cleaning/scrubbing time and headache down the road. Speaking from experience. Gorgeous and yes, do the cow paper.

Wow it’s all coming together. I would 100% do an accent colour in the mudroom….it would be a lovely contrast

In your mudd room you could paint the ship lap the color you are wanting ie mushroom, and keep the trim color the same as the rest of the house.

Love the craftsman style and the wallpaper for your office. I actually like the cow wallpaper for powder room It will always make people smile.

I think you should keep the trim the same throughout the house. I love the cow wall paper and the door.

Oh Amy, your new home is definitely farm friendly and inspired! The door you’re considering for your office is spot on given your love of farm house. I really LOVE that you are going to use wallpaper and the cow paper is perfect given there are cows across the way from your powder room! I might go with the white trim in the mud room and after you’re living there if you are bored with it you can always change it. I ADORE the green in your laundry room!!! This home already looks exactly how I picture you in it…exactly! I can’t wait for the huge big reveal!!! You have to be over the moon excited! I’m so excited for you! ❤❤❤

I would stay with same white trim and baseboard in mud room and add color with wallpaper or darker shades on walls. Also love the cow wallpaper! Beautiful home ❤

Mud room. I would stick with same color trim in entire house and maybe do wallpaper instead of paint that goes with the green cabinets in laundry room. Something that will give you a smile when you come home each day.

Built in lights under the island over hang where stools will go would be beautiful. It brightens your kitchen up at night and highlights your island and floors. We are in the early stages of designing our new home build and it’s so fun adding all these fun touches. I love your millwork and I would definitely keep the old door to the office, so many options you could do with it. And yes I’m all for taking one small room and painting the trim a contrast color, you need that one room that just pops and says “hi, I’m different, look at me” 🫶🏻

If you keep the door I would paint it the same color as your other doors. A pocket door would be pretty nifty too and wouldn’t swing out into the great room

You asked about the door to your office: Leave the door as is, or white. If you stripped it back to wood, it would become a feature, rather than blending into the rest of the room. You already have other visual features, such as the fireplace and your flooring - so you don't want to overwhelm the eye with another one. A plain white door also matches your windows and will seem like you intentionally put it there.

This is my dream house as well, it is going to be spectacular and so warm and homey! Definitely keep that free door for your office, it is a perfect farmhouse door with the windows and please keep it white!! Can’t wait for each update👍

Your house is turning out so beautiful!! The pained glass door for your office would look amazing and keep you feeling a part of the living room, while keeping out the noise, and I still love the cow wallpaper. Color washing the mud room would look beautiful.

Stunning!!!! I love everything! The only thing I might consider (and I'm no designer), is painting the interior doors another shade of cream or light taupe to add dimension and added warmth. I actually like the color of them now. Plus it's a nice way of subtly bringing in the warmer tones of the wood and stone features in your home. Sometimes when the doors, trim, and walls all match it can leave a space feeling a bit flat. Honestly, Amy, what you've created is amazing!!!! You do you and it will be perfect!😊

Keep the door! It’s very charming the way it is! Definitely wallpaper your office. Our biggest mistake on our build were custom cabinets. The finish did not last. We had to hire a painter to redo all the cabinets. I would always go with manufactured cabinets. Thanks for the update!

This house is absolutely spectacular and the builder Is doing such a good job. For the mudroom trim, I would stick with white. Something uniform throughout the entire house makes the flow so much better. I am smiling about your transoms, which traditionally always have glass. In architecture they were to serve two purposes. If there is a closed door, they let in light, while keeping out sound. Or they open (using a pole) for ventilation from room to room, while still having doors closed for privacy (as in a bedroom.) So your "transoms" where there are no actual doors just openings, are really not transoms. However, what you have done does provide some interest. Building a house comes with a gazillion decisions. You are making some excellent ones!

I really like the door for your office, yes, will add more light. The mud room, I would paint it a different color, I just love color that your laundry room cabinets are, and that would look rich, especially with your hardwood floors. The gravel walk way is also a dream of mine but during the winter it will be even harder for those who wear heels (even during the other months), and when rainy might also be a problem. I love your house though, lots of love has been shown in the planning. Can not wait for the next update.

In the mudroom you could do board and batten in the color you want instead of shiplap and then do the trim the same color as the rest of the house. It would just be an accent wall. I've seen this done before.

Love your new house. A couple of tips. Make sure refrigerator nook is wide enough so when you open the doors they won’t hit the wall(s) on either side. And have the kids tub/shower covered so the fiberglass does not get scratched and the drain doesn’t get clogged with debris. Learned these from past houses. ❤

Love the updates!!! I grew up on a Holstein dairy farm so of course I love the cow wallpaper! We put penny tile in our bathroom (the floors are heated) and we absolutely LOVE it. I would leave the trim the same color as the rest of your house, you could always change it later. I'm already looking forward to your next update and can't wait until you start to make it into a home for your family.

I think the trim color in mud room being different would make it charming. The home build is coming along and looks great!

You will get little stones stuck to shoes that will scratch your new floors. You will need a good outdoor mat to get most off. Something scratchy!❤

Just a thought... mudroom you could paint the trim and shiplap the same as the rest of the house and the wall above the shiplap, paint it the same green as the laundry room cabinets since the 2 room butt up to each other. (Or if that color is too dark for you, choose a couple of shades lighter of the same green color with the ceiling the same color as the trim to keep it light in there)

It’s all stunning! I’m so excited for you! We renovated an 1897 farmhouse and I did agreeable gray color shiplap with white trim. It’s a great pale gray to work with and I’ve never regretted it 😊
