Agreed. It’s like us saying that the freedom of speech that some of these people on Instagram are using, flashings stolen goods or trying to lure people into scams, should be protected and not used against them. I don’t agree with them using up twisted lyrics and trying to forcefully trap someone because of something they have said. However, if there is other evidence against a person, and their lyrics match the crime being committed, it should be admitted as evidence in court.

@Sony Alpha Adventure if it can support the case, I don’t see why not. Once again, not all rap or general song lyrics are fictitious. I am willing to bring in lyrics, books, any form of art if it can add to a case. But I am also of a mindset that art can be a crime. Freedom of speech is all well and good but at some point, people have to be accountable for what they put out there. Slippery slope. I know. But these debates are happening all over the world and in some cases, the art definitely seems like a crime.

You might think people are stupid and most are but the problem is rappers are even dumber that the people who you think are stupid ... Tupac wanted to live the life he wrapped about and we all know where that got him. rappers think that people really care about their street cred when most white kids who buy their music could care less!!! Drake and Future is 10 times as big as thug will ever be or any of the hoodlums who cant leave that life alone ... Little wayne didnt kill anyone or had to , niki minag didnt , Cardi didnt, Ludacris didnt, Nelly didnt , Jay z didnt, but for some reason those are the biggest names in rap but again, they want to be that tough guy until the white man who is tougher shows up at their doors and then they arent so tough anymore

In the YSL Woody video, @2:58:00 Woody confesses to shooting 2 people that day; hence the reason for the reckless driving, the bullets in his pants, and the reason for offering as many lies as the police wanted him to tell on Young Thug smh. Woody thought that he was caught red-handed with shooting 2 people, hence the reason he kept asking what was he REALLY being charged with. The African American male officer kept telling him that he was being charged with reckless driving and no valid license ONLY due to the bullets were federal. The female detective mentioned a gun as reverse psychology - she knew Woody was hiding something much bigger than reckless driving and ammunition with no gun, because Woody kept OFFERING information about Young Thug, in exchange for Woody's freedom. The detective knew that Woody knew that a petty driving charge and ammunition didn't carry much weight/jail time (Woody had already ditched the gun, and she didn't know that he had shot 2 people). You can tell that the gun was never found, hence the reason they didn't press Woody about what he had done (shot 2 people), they never mentioned ballistics or gun powder residue on Woody's person (cause they didn't know about the shooting until 2:58:00), they never asked why he changed into someone else's dirty pants with bullets in the pockets. Plus, Woody had already ditched the gun, hence he knew that whatever gun the police had did not belong to him; which is why, when the female detective mentioned the gun, Woody then denied having a gun my mentioning that there were 2 other people in the car with him; that the car belonged to his girlfriend; that his girlfriend will have to turn herself in and take the gun charge smh; and the fact that he had shot 2 people was the original reason for trying to offer LIES on Young Thug - Woody thought the police knew that he had shot 2 people, but they didn't know, the detectives were simply PHISHING for info. The detectives probably have the gun now, cause Woody probably told them where to go find it smh. In the YSL Woody video, @2:58:00, Woody confesses to shooting 2 people that day. hence the reason for the reckless driving & the bullets in his pants. The detectives mentioning a gun and saying that they wanted to help Woody, if he can help get the child killers off the street, was reverse psychology. Woody didn't snitch, he lied on Young Thug to save himself - MOTIVE TO LIE. Woody admitted to hating Young Thug because Young Thus is rich - MOTIVE TO LIE. Again, Woody thought he was caught red-handed for shooting 2 people - MOTIVE TO LIE. The video leak was a setup by the prosecution and so was the pill passing incident in open court. The prosecution released the tape hoping Woody would be murdered, so it would look bad for Young Thug and enough to make the RICO stick. If you watch the tape, it is clear that they have no RICO case. The RICO charge is a historically racist and unconstitutional charge anyways, hence the reason the judge keeps denying the defense's motions smh. The officers on the tape only wanted Young Thug or anyone with a big name - they don't really care about justice for murdered women and children. They wanted Quavo until Woody said that Quavo was broke smh. Their whole case was built on Woody's confession, Woody confesses to shooting 2 people @2:58:00. Therefore, the RICO is invalid because clearly Woody was lying to get out of attempted/murder charges by asking for immunity in exchange for Young Thug. That pill passing incident and the tape leak were both setups. #FREEYOUNGTHUG #FREERKELLY

Hip Hop is a rich culture, and storytelling is a crucial aspect. And it’s foul how law enforcement twist the words of artists, but it’s not what you say it’s how you say it.

I know someone who was raped. The rapist wrote a letter acknowledging the rape. When his victim wanted it addressed in court, her lawyer told her that he and his defense would get off by simply claiming that he wrote it as a joke...This after he'd acknowledged it during the hearing for the restraining order. The same tactic could apply here...

In sorry to hear that happened. That's a great point of the slippery slope with what is and what isn't considered "a joke," "just poetry," etc. Where do we claim art, and where do we claim a confession? When do we claim one or the other? Unfortunately the law is about who has the best lawyer with the best argument, and not necessarily who is innocent or guilty. Truly sorry that happened to someone!

Alot of the rap out these days is about killing other gang members . Doing hits .more less it sucks and is garbage... real rap was in 80s and 90s which we will never see again cause these record labels only care about money and not what issues one song can bring with a diss ... 💯 Just speaking facts 💯

Are lyrics considered FACTS??? How is that possible? Some of these songs are written by ghost writer's.... The judge is not thinking about this. This is FICTION NOT FACT. WE MAY AS WELL ARREST LITTLE BOY BLUE.

If you rap about your crime ... (sic) what do you expect? Gangsta rap gives no one hope. Go to school and get an education instead. Help to improve the life of others. Rap music doesn't do any good in helping the down trodden, those with food insecurities and the poor and homeless get ahead.
