newair and audew are chinese companies with higher quality models and they are literally 400 dollars for something half this size and the quality doesnt reallllllyyy differ that much. 5 years ago they dominated the market now theres a ton of companies making very decent models for more than half the price. American made products in this day and age would suffer the same fate. Expensive for little to NO reason.

its true. all the chinese companies seem to have an umbrella bc their photos, the people in their ad shoots, the ads themselves, are all the same for all unit models across like 7 "different" retailers.

How is the unit holding up for you? I ordered one a few months ago and it had extremely strong chemical/plastic odor. Never got rid of that odor after wiping with with alcohol, bakig soda and leaving activated charcoal in it for weeks. Everytime I turned it on and started cooling you could see the unit rip the humiduty right out. So I chucked it in a closet and ordered a NewAir.

I’ve been really impressed with this unit honestly. I wasn’t too sure how it would actually do long term and so far it’s on par with my other 4 thermoelectric units from 2 different brands.

What humidor do you recommend for aroma removal and spanish liner I am thinking the Zieun stainless steel

I’m not sure of many humidors that remove odor. I’ll look into it though!

Great Video and Review. I have a Needone and I love it except for the fact that the light and the mirror tinted glass do allow me to see inside. I had to modify it with an LED strip, but the fact that this one is clear is a HUGE plus. Thanks for the info and I might have to pick one of this up next time. Keep up the amazing content! First love the videos and all the information you have done, I’m recovering from a quadruple bypass thanksgiving and found this video very interesting, I’ve been wanting one but never had the time to look into them and there’s so many companies out there, but now that I have time lol thank you for the walk through on this unit.

It is good to know if the NeedOne goes on the fritz after 5 yrs I can replace it cheap sans blue led's and polarizing glass. S and a shelf. Those are expensive frills when I could have saved 50%.

Last but not least NeedOne has a digital hygrometer. Part of the $150 frills pkg. Again I think the original designer has the shelves for boxes. Hingvhii has an indentation in the bottom to hold the moisture container flush with the floor of one of their units proof the container is intended to humidity as well. The advantage of this unit is you can put it on a desk.

Yes there are many features and it is flexible with the configuration for storage.
