I really like this new version of the rapid replace head. I bought one last fall when i purchased my 525lst mark II. The only fault i have with mine is it vibrates like crazy. Exterminator, have you noticed any unusual vibration from yours. It vibrates so bad, I switched it out for a speed feed 450. Much smoother operation. I wish the rapid replace was as smooth, but for whatever reason, mine isn't. I'm pretty sure its the cap on the bottom side of the head causing this.
My Echo speed feed 450 head just exploded at my last customer of the day. The 450 lasts much longer the the 400s but I Found 2 of these new Husqvarna rapid reloads at Lowes and ran to the checkout. I tried the old style last season and with all the rocks in my customers yards it didn't last as long as I hoped. I like it better than the Echo speed feeds. Thanks Exterminator.
I love this guy!!! Wish I could talk with him on the phone. Wanting to start my own lawncare business, but NO DAMN TRUCK.. AND NO HITCH ON CAR!!!! Thx man from San Antonio tx
I started that way also. Buy commercial equipment over consumers grade equipment. Spent $$$ Save in the long run. Hydraulic wheels motor over belt . Save your body. Stand up mower over riders.
I'm using the normal spool I think T45X that came with mine. Trying to get use to it but idk why they made the button stick out so far lol. Manual says to tilt the trimmer. Been trying and adjusting my habit, and it's getting better I guess lol. Think I still like the speed feeds so might try one of these out at some point. Speed feed head caps wear out really fast though.
I like how the gear is with the Husqvarna than the echo. Where the gear thing and the trimmer head attaches. You can get tall, thin grass caught up very easy on the echo but the way Stihl and Husqvarna are is better. I thought about swapping the gear heads but haven't yet. I'd rather watch someone else do that just in case things break or whatever. It looks like Husqvarna is a better design than the speed feed. I use the SRM 3020 U
That's right.. I like the new colors also. . But realy you and me need to have a talk with Husqvarna... were like the Brian's lawn maintenance and Spencer's off. Husqvarna as they are for toro. Lol. We get no love... thanks for showing this updated speed feed..
not a fan of those newer channels u speak of lol. im old school and i like lawn care channels lol. Yes husky did give me a hedge trimmer and bunch of stickers and such. But I didnt do enough for them I guess. So they quit talking to me. they even met up with me as you can see in an old video. But i am not going to change my whole channel for free stuff. So that hurts me.that and my honesty lol. Those fake channels like u mentioned do. why i like your channel. regular lawn guy. you would fit in with us guys that started this community back in the day
@@exterminator1 yep yep and yes sir... lol. Was trying to say thing we are the Husqvarna guys.. me to I don't anything from the companys.. I like what I like...
Well sir I happend to view your video and your praises to Husqvarna on their new "RAPID RELOAD" Easy Loading Spool Trimmer Head and your pointing out a new improvement they have made to the winding bump/winding knob compared to their initial RAPID RELOAD which i agree is I'm in agreement with but I'm not in agreement with Husqvarna infringing upon 2 of my US Patents US 8,025, 249 & US 10,273,112 which are owned by my company TORVENT LLC that pertain to the curved guide channel located in the center flange of the 3 flange spool that provides the means for making it a Easy To Load without any disassembly to reload line onto the spool when needed - have offered them a opportunity to take a license to these patents but they and their attorneys are taking along time in getting back to me - I just was at my local LOWES store today and I saw and took pictures - just about everyone of their floor display models hanging had this new "RAPID RELOAD" trimmer head that you are referring to - it is a excellent trimmer head product.
The reason they are selling the entire head and making the center bolt interchangeable is because it will work with Husqvarna Stihl, and several other weedeaters now
I hope they make a rapid head for the 535, it has a larger shaft and nothing else will fit. I really hate the stock husqvrna heads, right now im running echo speed feed on all my 525’s.
I own a RedMax BCZ 350S ( which is the same as Husky 535LST) & it has the larger Arber Bolt as well, I haven't found a way to mount a replaceable head either. If you have any ideas let me know. However I am a big fan of the Husky T-35 heads, with the big blue bump button, those have always served me very well.
@@michaelbartley2986 what i did was buy a reverse tap 12mm off amazon and tap out one of the bolts in a speed feed kit. It isn’t perfect but works for me. The T35 heads always get the blue cap stuck on stuff when trimming down a line. Good to know the 350 is similar to the 535.
The old kind vibrated like crazy as compared to a speedfeed head. The new ones look butt ugly with the orange and because it clashes with my red Mauryama. 🍻
The cap is still held on by that small screw and as a result will have the same issues. Both caps on mine broke off from normal tapping and not slamming into rocks, curbs, etc.... I'll make a video explaining my concerns next time at at the shop with my old head and show what I'm referring too.
@@exterminator1 man, you must be a wizard. Lol my luck hasn’t been good with them trimmer heads. I will say, that if the caps didn’t fly off so easy, it would be a speedfeed killer. I love the head except for the cap issue.
Update on the trimmer head. It keeps welding the line after a couple of minutes of use. Yes it's garbage, only lasted like a month on me before giving me that problem. Its a complete failure.
I'm going to be cremated but if I was to be buried, I'd want a gas string trimmer in the casket with me. I'd also ask the Atlanta Falcons to be my pallbearers so they can let me down one last time...😂
I’ve used both and looking at other they seem to like this more then the ehco 450. I like my ehco over the new one I watched this video about 5 months ago b4 I got the Husqvarna head and said shit il give it a try it still love my ehco because I don’t have a Husqvarna dealer nore.a lowes near me so ehco is better because I do. And my dealer carries the speed feed cap for like 4 bucks and it lasted me 2 years. And I ain’t nice to mine. The Husqvarna holds up about the same for me but the dealer support ok the ehco for me is better I know a lot will say that ehco dealers should have Huskvarna No mine has stihl and ehco weird I know but it is what it is
Just bought the 130 l The big deal was it came with the rapid refill head from the factory, which is terrible came completely jammed up, took it apart, rewound it jammed up again with their string, complete crap poor design put my t35 On works fine.
Not being rude but I'd say user error. I have not had any problems. Now 105 twist from weed eater didn't work well. Make sure you don't take the head apart to put line in it. Only time to take it apart is when it's jammed or when u got to close to an object and broke the line real close.
