I bought daiwa 8m whip and is came with 3 set top kit for elastication. I'm trying to figure out how it works ☺️

A question Will. I'm just returning to coarse fishing after 25 years. A lot has changed in that time. What do the numbers, 3 to 5, etc actually mean. Do they correlate to any force v extension standard or industry scale. Does the Dawia 3 to 5 elastic correspond to preston, maver etc elastic of the same numbers? Regards Richard

Hi great video just wondering would you use any of these for natural venues if so which would you use for roach and small skimmers ? Skimmers and bream ? And finally chopped worm for perch and bonus fish Thanks Gareth

Yellow, pink, blue, white would be my choices for all the scenarios you mention.

Paul..... As a rough guide - Yellow - 0.12 mainline - 0.08 or 0.10 hooklengths Pink - 0.14 mainline - 0.10 or 0.12 hooklengths Blue - same as Pink, but you could use the White option below too. White - 0.16 mainline - 0.12 or 0.14 hooklengths Grey - 0.18 mainline - 0.14 or 0.16 hooklengths Black - 0.20 mainline - 0.16 or 0.18 hooklengths its more balancing the elastic strength to the hooklength than the mainline diameter ***** I remember that you like breaking strains over diameters so...... 0.08mm = as low as 1.0lbs, but could be as high as 1.5lbs 0.10mm = 2.0lbs 0.12mm = 3.0lbs 0.14mm = 4.0lbs 0.16mm = 5.0lbs 0.18mm = 6.0lbs 0.20mm = 7.0lbs These are approximate diameter / breaking strain combinations. I am aware there are "intermediate" diameters such as 0.11 and 0.13, etc. in some brands but these are roughly based on what I use.

@@stevemccrory9130 thank you very much. I tend to use hydro and have the same problem with a balance setup. I use white grey black and purple in the summer. Do you have any idea 💡

@@paulkerry69 The strengths are reportedly very similar between Hydro and this new stuff. Add in 0.22mm diameter (8lbs) mainline to 0.18 (6lbs) / 0.20mm (7lbs) hooklengths for purple. If Will says its good, then it is. I'm looking forward to trying it myself.
