Hi everyone! Just a little note: we filmed this back in November 2021 and since then Albert Biermann has retired. Make no mistake, this is still a Biermann special. Also, the 0-62mph is 6.2 seconds - .3 of a second faster than the ST.
I've got an I20N in Australia (owned for 3 weeks ) . I guess comparing with Fiesta St and I20N is 'whatever' . I'm not biased they both have strengths and weaknesses . They are different . However the 2022 is a it 'boring ' . I chose the I20N because they are 'less' rare (even though they are very rare) than a Mk8 or Mk8.5 . But Hyundai's service is a lot better than the Ford . As for the Polo Gti , well it doesn't rate a mention . From the dealers it can be anything up to $10000AUD more depending on the options You may as well by an I30N for that price. . But over all I'm very happy with it . It will continue to be rare in Australia . But all us I20N owners are having immense fun with it on Mountain Roads, and daily traffic, going to the shops.
I agree with the servicing but unless it is just a track car i don't know how you can put up with that rubbish plastic interior of the Hyundais. These are not cheap cars yet the interior plastics are just getting worse and worse from Hyundai lately.
@@johnrb9397 Who cares any amount is too much for plastic junk from Korea. They have a decent car . Buy the Stinger while they are still around or a G70 Genesis
@@Chappers.Gaming the way the used car market is only had it 4 months made a nice amount of money on it so made more sense to trade it in and get a new I20N which is AMAZING !😁 as its sounds mad it is actually cheaper aswell for me 😄
You do get a bit more tech in the i20 N, sure. But the ST3 holds up well. Semi-autonomous safety features, driving modes, digital instrument cluster etc. How’s it not comparable?
@@camtait about 3500 AUD more for an ST in Australia and you 'cannot buy one ' until 2023 . Fords service in Aus is simply rubbish . Might be different in the UK though . The 2022 Fiesta just looks like something out of the final Lotus 240's cluster . I like the Mk8 not the 8.5 Fiesta . It looks less 'pedestrian' and SUV like .
@@whelangc Ah, we're based in the UK where pricing is pretty close - though what you get in a dealer may vary. Can't say I've had any experience with AU Ford service, either! And agree with you on the refreshed Fiesta - the pre-facelift looks way better IMO.
@@camtait I've got a mk7.5 ST200 and IMO that was peak ST, the MK8 looks like it came out before the MK7.5 and the 8.5... nasty. I can't wait for Hyundai to hurry up with my i20N, the lead time on them is insane. I ordered in August 21 and I'm waiting o_0
Can you do a comparison of the Fiesta ST against the BRZ/ GR86? Both affordable by proper fun cars, with very different approaches! I’m interested to see your thought because I’d love to buy the new Fiesta ST, but am currently weighting up against the GR86!
It was the auto gearbox that killed the Clio RS, most people hated it. I had the last Clio RS with a manual, my only complaint was the interior... very low rent.
Fiesta ST decades…….really, the first one was crap pretty sure-the other one only came out in 2013, until then the Clio 182, 197/200 were the darli;gs of the small hatches
In terms of performance the i20 N is a good sports car. But I don't like the line, it is ugly, even my friends say it is ugly. I much prefer the Fiesta ST.
Ugly 😂 so why is ford putting all there Ford badges on the grill trying to make the cars look like a transit van 😂 I20N looks a million times better. !
I20 looks fresher and more out there vs a fiesta. Plus how many times you seen a ‘st-line’ and thought it was a st lol. Shame really fiesta is still nice.
