They actually are now - that wasn't well known and documented when I made this. They JUST went to it and I happened to capture on camera one of their JUST updated models!
*[UPDATE!] I recorded this RV JUST as the new 2023 updates were rolling out. Full details weren't yet available. Alliance has gone to double azdel composite paneling walls for 2023! That means now both the inside and outside layers are azdel! Awesome update!*
Wish list: 1) TV was on a televator with a window behind it. 2) day shades along with privacy shades. 3) grab bars available in the shower for us seniors. Loves:1) having WHITE a/c's on top! 2) having them back living in it full.time and not void the warranty 3) all the windows and how spacious it feels 4) dishwasher prep? I'm here for it!!! 5) stackable w/d 6) huge amount of storage in basement! Thank you Mr.Juan for making it possible for Josh to bring us this stellar content!! I appreciate you both!
We have a 2022 Alliance Paradigm 310RL and love it. And not only love the RV, but also the company. Extremely responsive with questions and really care about the customer. And really like the updates to the 2023. I installed the TV swivel as an upgrade to ours….but great they listen to feedback and it’s now standard.
It's truly their customer support that has earned my respect from this brand. There are some other companies doing well there but Alliance is, without question, the most responsive I've seen and is even working with NRVTA to produce training materials for people.
@@JoshtheRVNerd They. really are that good. They have helped me out when I needed it for sure, looking fwd to the NRVTA vids. Thanks for the review of my RV!
I was “leaning” Alliance for our first 5th wheel. First RV of any kind actually. This tour has changed me from lean to “Alliance or nothing”… Thanks for the video and thanks to @alliancerv for allowing the BTS tour
Great video, Josh. And thank you Mr. Juan for placing it in the open so we could get a good exterior view. Like the simple undercounter bathroom sink, and lots of prep space in the kitchen. Overall this rig is bigger than I think we'll ever need, but lots of fun to watch your expert tour.
Beautiful! So many features that I appreciate: 😃 s/s bathroom sink is a good size, love its counter. 😃 head room in shower is great (I'm tall too). 😃 s/s kitchen sink is one large bowl. 😃 larger 12 volt fridge. 😃 there's no toe-stubber ledge at stove. 😃 behind fireplace storage area. 😃 tv on pivot. And that's just for starters....
Thank you Mr. Juan!😂 Love this layout. Love the additional solar, new fridge, and carpet less unit. Color is nice because it’s not dark, but it still looks like grey is the color of the year. Personally, I prefer warmer colors or the farmhouse white. Love, love, love, Alliances tank sizes!!!! Very rare to find such large tanks, let alone on a smaller unit.
@@rogerspalding5673 Juan was the name of the lot manager that parked and staged this RV up for us in this video. I asked folks to tell him thank you for his helpful efforts
I like the upgrades. Especially the 12 volt fridge. This trailer is the only one that we agreed on everything together. But can't afford to upgrade my 310 to it. Thanks Josh. If you are in Idaho and complaining about the warm and sun. Stick around a day or two. God doesn't have far to throw that snow.
Love the stove in this unit! It's placement is perfect! As you pointed out there is work space on both left & right with cupboards above AND a window at the back. It's really a gorgeous gas stove with glass oven door. The refrigerator is amazing - you covered that very well. Air conditioning is great. The colors are nice & light, neutral. Lots of windows to let in natural light. Also, the bathroom is a winner. Thank you for showing us this beautiful contender. 😃
Would love to see a pullout trash can added under sink. Also pullout storage under bathroom sink. A place in the entertainment center for an xbox or blue ray player. And integrated stackable silverware containers inside top kitchen drawers.
I like the fridge. The pantry door opens the wrong way. I’d like to see someone install a true sleep sofa with an air mattress and grey doesn’t do it for me, I prefer lighter colors. On the outside, independent suspensions would be a nice option , the awnings are awesome. All in all, great job on this unit.
Thanks, Mr. Juan! Keystone is increasing their solar panel sizes by 10% (still the solar flex product, which is still very flexible), and I think Grand Design is at 370 watts standard (return to Iowa and our beautiful winds for confirmation!).
Why don't you look at the Keystone site sometime. Since 2021 Keystone has been the leader in solar; with 200, 400, 600 and 1,200 watt systems. They have been offering 2,000 and 3,000 watt inverters since the start. Alliance and GD waited 2 years before they even thought of playing follow the Keystone leader. You don't even know the price of the Alliance unit. Keystone advertises its prices right out front for all to see. Keystone never hides anything from buyers. Watch now as the cheap, rip off artists start putting in tankless water heaters like Keystone has. Keystone has its own Innovation Lab purely to invent and devise new products to add to its rigs. Other companies just copy Keystone. Newbie phonies who don't know the business and make stuff up are the bane of RV enthusiasts who know the craft and the market.
GD's standard solar varies by model. By default "RIT" units (reflection, imagine, transcend) are 165w though I suspect they'll be nudging to 200w soon. Reflection FWs with the big fridges bump to 370w Solitude currently was 165w last I knew and momentum 175w. Again I suspect those will nudge to at least 200 soon
@@rogerspalding5673 I have a Sprinter 5er, a triple bunk floor plan made in July 2021 that GD came out with a year later (I saw a dealer video claiming GD was the first). There is a whole new line of Passports, and Montanas are getting some very creative features (the huge butler's pantry that Alpine has as well, or that crazy midbunk).
Thanks for answering my grey wolf door question, doesnt matter now that I showed my wife todays video, where's the closest Bish's to the Allentown Pennsylvania area she already has the Ram diesel with the 5th wheel pkg. thanks alot Josh!
I have been waiting for a review of the Alliance Paradigm. Josh you nailed, and quite honestly probably pushed me towards this model over comparable models. Seems like they did a great job in designing this coach with the buyer in mind. Checked off many of the must have boxes. Was very skeptical to the new name brand until I watched your video! I may have to travel to get the coach I want from one of your dealerships, but seems like it is going to be a trip worthwhile! Thanks for the honest assessment of this particular 5th wheel! Keep up the great work!
So real talk here: Alliance's front end fit and finish is OK. I've seen better. But their back end support to both dealers and their customers... I feel that is currently unparalleled. They do what's right if you give them a fair opportunity to step up. THAT means so much to me
A pro tip for that poured epoxy sink in the bathroom. Poured epoxy does require maintenance, but it's very minimal. A liberal application of mineral oil applied to the epoxy countertop, after a good cleaning, will make it last for years. But, too much mineral oil will cause a haze to build up. There is a happy middle to keeping these countertops looking perfect.
Great video Josh. Just attended the Portland RV show last weekend and got to walk through the Alliance's for the first time. Was leaning toward Grand Design and Montana but the 310RL made it to the top of the list. Showed the wife your video and she loves it as well. Only gripe we had is the exposed control panel. Really like it when they hide them behind a door.
Ty Todd It’s such a catch 22 My dad had a big pinnacle fifth wheel with a hidden control panel. He disliked opening a door every time he needed it It’s all preferential I am sure
A couple extra PVC fittings for the drain pipe, and they could easily shift the island to the rear making the freezer accessible. Don't know what they wouldn't have done that. In the interim, you can sneak some flat packages into the freezer if you open the right fridge door too.
Finally counter space on Both sides of the stove! I love how the sink is on 1 side of the Island so there is prep space and drawer space on the other end. Really need to have storage beside the beds because a lot of people now have Cpap machines.
the reason why i like residential fridge's is purely for that refrigerator storage. i like these types of RL floorplans just wish i could tow it with something like a ford maverick or a Toyota truck
Those are very nice the wife and I look at the 2022 and was thinking about buying one but we was there at that same dealer and bought a motorhome there.
I would love top see the side by side with the Pinnacle. Wish that both the Paradigm and the Pinnacle Used a split sink to save water whilst boondocking
I am really liking Alliance one thing i would like to see them add is a nice 12v ceiling fan in the living area like Jayco and Montana does. Many of the places I go I don't need the ac going but circulating the air is all we need
It isn't often that I see one of your videos and think that is great but. Not today! This one hit all the right buttons and if I were lookng for a 5th wheel this would be at the top of the list. Thanks
My other minor complain would be that I would love to see them add a door to cover up the controls at the main entry door. Kids like buttons. Better to have them out of sight out of mind imho
As someone who burned up the water heater element in his grandfather's RV because i could reach the buttons as a little kid I can confirm you fears are justified lol :)
Great floor plan and build! “Your last camper” is definitely a possibility with this one. I can’t think of a single significant improvement other than having just a little bit of a camper kitchen somewhere under the main awning. Not much - maybe just a cube fridge and a small drawer to put my campfire lighter and cooking spatulas in. It might rob from the huge pass thru just a little but I think it would be worth it. Also maybe a gas port for the Blackstone? Thanks for the tour!
What are some of the options? Looks fantastic. I would like to see 8,000k axles and disc brakes. Also A/C- heater units so you can heat without the furnace. Tankless water heater too?
I am glad they did away with the wavy plastic on the island, but it still extends out past the recliner. If they'd just allow a smaller island option. My OCD can't stand sitting in the dinette side recliner and seeing the island protrude past my legs. 😟
Just had the opportunity to walk through one of these today. My favorite feature was the NON-ezbake oven, it was almost full size.😮 The only con I was able to find was that if you are not using the A/C system in the bedroom there is very little air circulation, a fan or roof vent would be nice for non-a/c weather.
Love the exterior painting; not so pleased with the interior design. Looks very dated imo. Like the poured epoxy counter idea, but do not like color/design of this one. Understand splitting the rv into two cooling zones, but would also prefer ducted ac in the front living/kitchen area as well for noise reduction. Love the upgraded solar, the heavy duty teak seat, massive fridge, counters on each side of that wonderful range, flush carpet-less slides, no floor vents to collect dust, pet hair & allergens in general, all the large windows and the smart tv with large elec fireplace. REALLY like that this company is doing quality control on their trailers before shipping. Hearing so many worrisome compliants on many brands I thought built with quality & had good customer service.... Thanks Mr Juan (sp?) And as always, RV Nerd, appreciate your effort/humor in these videos.
I recently went to look at a 310. The unit has so many great features and is just a beautiful unit. There is one glowing negative for me that has caused me to pause and it was the pantry. The pantry is not open for storage from top to bottom. I would say the bottom 25% is framed for something in the next room, maybe closet for bathroom. Now it was a 2022 unit I was looking at and I did not see you spend time showing the pantry up close on the 2023. If I remember on the 2022, the second shelve in the pantry seemed to not have full access either. Did you notice the intrusions and decreases space in the pantry on the 310
Apologies - I see so many RVs i cannot recall specifics down to quite that degree sometimes. I would recommend contacting a team member at a store with one of these in stock and asking them for a few quick photos/videos of the areas in question They're happy to get that kind of stuff in return for a fair shake at working with you when you're ready!
I still love Paradigms and always loved this floorplan. It does look like they went back to their original windows in the slide? I have seen 2022's that had a much larger sliding area to open. Would that be because of supply or dual pane versus single pane? Still not 100% in love with the new decor colors but have seen much worse lol.
On a more serious note, I love everything about this RV except for the fact you can only access your washer/dryer is by going through the clothes you have hanging in your closet or am I just missing something?
I’m currently in the passenger’s seat of the family vehicle returning from a trip and have poor reception on this highway. Unable to check that W/D area to offer insights. Apologies
Now IF they took out the extra sofa along the back & stuck a big door (for patio) it would be sooo cool! TV should be optioned for a televator. Like windows.
Alliance has allot of nice features definately.....one area they need to improve on is the dining table. No extension, and it's kind of wimpy compared to a Montana 3121RL. I guess that is something that could be changed out easy down the road though.
from what i understood from the allience people I talked to was that 2023 paradigm have azdel inside and out? was I miss informed? cant wait to get my 340RL :)
I spoke with my contact RIGHT before this.. but I'm going to call him right now to confirm... And apparently I'm Live-typing this as I work for you lol ...ringing... voicemail. I'll try to follow up. Stay tuned to future videos. *[UPDATE!] Got a call back - this was something that changed VERY recently -- 2023's went to double azdel. Originally Avenue was planned single but it sounds like even those will flip to dual azdel! THANK YOU for the catch!*
Planning to trade our Cougar in for this model. Love the changes. We are in Moraine Campground in Rocky Mountain NP now. So I love the big 12v refrigerator and solar package!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Heaters work for chilly mornings. It just seems like such a waste of such needed space in an rv where they're trying to make the most out of every inch. 🤔
This is the paradigm on top of our list but, I would go for the 2022 version. Three things bother me with the 2023. I prefer the "shiplap" look on the sofa wall instead of the dark color accent. I like the cabinetry color in the 2022 more so and the white marble accent in the bathroom sink feels off balance. But the best part always is the narrator!😁👍
Man I like these. Just having a hard time getting past the non-ducted air. Am I making too big of deal out of it? I mean my only point of reference is a 2008 TT, but the air was loud. When I think upscale 5'th wheel (all 5'th wheels are upscale to me) I just don't picture having to talk over the sound of the AC or having to turn the TV (in my best Josh imitation) up to 11 to hear it. So many excellent qualities. Sure checks a lot of boxes. Thank you Mr. Juan and thanks Nerd!
The non ducted AC is REALLY quiet on low. You talk louder them on low, you dont even turn the tv up when the ac kicks in. On high they are a little louder but still not as loud as the old tt's on low. I did a short vid on the Alliance Avenue AC and a sound meter app. You can see in the vid even talking was much louder then the ac's on low. Plus they are so efficient the only time mine have ever been on high is right after we open the camper up and its super hot that day. Only had to do that twice since owning my Avenue. The sound vid is posted on my youtube page.
I was 1000% in the same corner. The only way to know any differently is to actually get one powered up and get into them. THAT is what made me a believer and willing to listen/understand. When the system first kicks on if you put it on max cooling mode.. she's _loud_ But, it cooled down as quickly or more quickly than anything I had been in before. Since the cold air being generated isn't being cooked and heated inside of hot roof attic ducting & pushing into the RV right away Once it cooled off we bumped the airs to low/quiet mode and they weren't unpleasant at all & maintained temp effectively
very head to head picks there You may also want to check out the updated north point 310RLTS for 2024. Some NICE updates there. I have video coming if you can be a little patient with me!
Great video Josh! Alliance is doing a great job! This is a great rig! Love the big 12V fridge! and pretty much everything else, especially the aluminum framing. Except! I would definitely be getting one with a front living room. To me...I like the separation of the spaces in an FL rig. That's my personal preference. BTW, thanks for your email with reviews on a couple FL rigs! I'm currently down to two manufacturers for 5ers...Alliance & ATC. Though a lot of people may, I have no issue with ATC's "industrial" look. Uber awesome that Alliance road-tests their RVs and does a post-inspection. Great customer focus! Thank you for ANOTHER! great review!
I have a suggestion...can you put your "basisc" specs into the notes section? This unit has my cuddlicious seal of approval. This would be perfect my SO and I...
@@JoshtheRVNerd that little graph you use at the very start of the video after the floor plan shows. If you're already doing that then I'm an idiot for not seeing...I don't need help to look stupid I'm perfectly capable of that all by myself
@@rvail136 Yessir. I also post that down in the video description area. I'm not sure the device you're using to watch but on desktops there's a "read more" link you can click to expand that area. On phones/tablets I believe you tap the title to expand the area. Both are VERY easy to miss and frankly I think I pour a ton of time and effort into putting into in that box that mostly gets missed
Just finished watching the video, quick question. Can you put a slide topper on the table slide? I think it has as much room as my current GD Reflection 303RLS, and we put toppers on it, but I wanted to double check.
Nice rig and if I were in the market for 5th wheel this would be near the top of the list. Still need a tow rig as the Caddy would not like this . I would be interested to hear the cost of adding the washer/drier and dishwasher/dryer. The solar being able to run the fridge is great and would not always need the tow rig's power or a generator.
Their owners groups tell their story clearly - Alliance owns up to their mistakes and bends over backwards to make them right whenever someone is reasonable with them
Hi there from Northern Canada!! We love your videos and wondering if possible you can show underneath..ie frame..on the 5th wheels...thanks so much and never change!!
It sounded like you said this is the shortest paradigm model. Their website shows they make a smaller one. I haven’t seen it in person the 295mk is only 33ft and change. I wonder if you can find one to do a bit of a comparison.
been sub'd for couple yrs however haven't had any notifications from you until I sought out some rv nerd videos thinking maybe you hung it up...not saying your shadow banned, just saying I'm glad I'm getting em in my feed again! youtube is strange
Hey Josh. Will you do a tour of the alliance Avenue fifthwheel 33rks. Please. Also I'd like to know if alliance plans to have some kinda water sprayer since theres no sink in the outside kitchen. Thanks in advance . Looking forward to your tour.
So how many 12 volt plugs are there ? So really the only deal is the 12 volt refrigerator running off the batteries .I was wondering if all the other plugs will be running on normal power . I guess ne thing is better than none
I have only theories... ► Wider doors = More complicated design process. You need to allow for more sidewall for them to allot for door space. ► Suppliers only offer certain sizes based on their production, so we get what we get
It's hard to compare "the build" of an RV to a northwood. this is more industry standard in the general approach but with a really heavy focus on aftermarket support I'm interested to see arctic fox's 2024 updates and what response people will have. I have seen preview photos and I think folks are going to be pleasantly surprised overall
This is the unit I would definitely go with if cost worked out.i have a couple questions would they ever do a rear outside storage under the couch and is frig a gas electric combo
Alliance doesnt offer the gas/elec fridge in any rv anymore. The rv absorption fridge will never come back. Not just in alliance but many brands. The 12 volt compressor fridge is better in every way. Every year you will see less and less of them in new coaches. The day of the rv fridge is heading in the way of the dodo bird, and rightfully so.
Do the 2023 models have tankless water heaters? I’ve noticed that the bishs website lists it on most brands but doesn’t seem to on any of the Alliance models… I think I’m starting to lean more to alliance from grand design now.
@@JoshtheRVNerd from looking at the alliance site I think they are all Signature tanked units. I did see from the signature site that they do have a tankless option so I could probably buy and swaption it myself after the fact. I watched a video of another model changed out and now I’m an internet expert on it 😏 but honestly, it did look fairly straight forward and I realize I won’t be able to get “exactly” what I want so things like that which I could do myself would probably be okay. Thanks uncle Josh!
I can’t get factories to actually send me any sort or Decibel testing which makes me think they’re not really doing it I may try to download a noise measuring thing on my phone and doing a very unscientific test sometime But don’t usually have full hookups for what I do so that’s tricky
Uncle Josh. I wonder how long the flush slide flooring will last before someone catches a shoe on it. At least the woven slide flooring is less prone to be folded back after a drunken camper scuffs it with his big boots.
This rig checks most of my wants but fails on one I can't fix after the fact - it needs more cargo capacity. You fill the water tank and you are down to 1900lbs. Bump the batteries & solar some and you lose another 200-300 lbs. more than likely anyone with this unit will be running it at max weight (or over). Make this a 16k GVWR and they have a great rig
like the interior (dislike the all white farmhouse look). Still no shade in the entry door? Either put opaque glass in there or a shade. The shade would probably be cheaper and look better. Quit being so stingy Alliance. Soft starts on the ACs? Really like the epoxy counter tops...Wish the wash/dryer were not inside the closet. Prefer a stacking unit closet separate. This makes is much easier to access and really doesn't take up any more room.
I don't have specs on those from the MFG -- only the size references of me standing in them at just over 6ft At 6'6" there are not many upper decks in towable RVs they'll fit into Cedar Creek might actually be a brand you want to check though. See here: bit.ly/3THkZaa
I wrote alliance asking what will run on 12 volt because most salesman don’t have a clue. “The following will run off a 12volt system and will work as long as you have the single solar panel with a battery: lights, furnace, gas water tank heater, water pump, refrigerator, USB ports, leveling system, and slides. To run any of the outlets the ACs, electric water heater, microwave, or fireplace, a solar package plus will be needed, which adds an inverter or you will need to be hooked up to shore power. “
Basically everything except the microwave and air is the best way I can say it. Everything else runs off 12v or some combo of 12v and propane (like the water heater) Also keep in mind: Solar doesn't "Run" things. It only charges the battery. The battery powers all 12v items.
@JoshtheRVNerd I don't see a walk through by you for this model 310RL year 2024. It seems even the 2024 does not have on-demand / tankless water heaters! We must have that. Can this model be upgraded to a tankless?
I haven't done a 2024 updated video yet because they haven't really done any _significant_ updates Sometimes I'll still go ahead and get footage but if I have a chance to get an entirely new model, then I'll get 100% fresh footage instead of one that maybe has a 1-2% update
@@JoshtheRVNerd All good on that. I just don't see in standard or options that they come with tankless. Not sure if anyone can help confirm that or not. Thank you Josh!
@@JoshtheRVNerd we've lived with tankless and with the electric/gas water heaters in our full-time rigs. The tankless wasn't as reliable as you would expect. If you're trying to not run water at a full or almost-full blast, it drops the heat, and you end up with a cold shower or with appliances beeping because they don't have enough hot water. This has NEVER been a problem with our electric/gas variety. I think that the tankless water heaters aren't as far along in design as people expect them to be.
I would have thought the engineers would have noticed and scootched that counter a mere 3” back and given freezer access. I know that’s a little thing yet, why not when it was all in the design software?? I do like this otherwise.
Now if they would please have a choice of all the light kitchen cabinet be through out! That dirt color is so depressing! I would have to paint all of it! 😫😫😫
That’s because that’s not how solar works. It doesn’t power the fridge. Solar only charges batteries. And with a host of environmental variables there is no way to directly answer beyond “it depends”
This thing is truly done to death, but it's also a very effective layout. RK units struggle for mobile-users since most of your storage is behind the axles and everything bounces like crazy in transit. Often you cannot access a fridge while traveling either. That being said.. RK units are my personal favorite for destination/seasonal use.
NOOOOO It's not. Its a flush floor slide. Because of the way it drops in place to make it flush floor means the bottom is actually longer then the top. That is exactly how it should look.
@@OmahaWayne You sir are correct . I went to ROAD MODE of vid and the slides are tilted. So after a travel day everything will be in back of fridge cuz it's leaning back.🤔
@@Pretzels425 No, its perfectly flat on the top. No water will run in. It just looks funny because like I say the bottom board is longer then the top. If you could see one being run our from the inside it would make more sense. But the top hits and the bottom moves out about another 4 inches and drops to flush.
