WOOOW...what a kickass Purchase Randy. Looking forward for the Video to come with the Mercury Ampplifier on your Shack Table. Happy Weekend & 73 de YFUG 💯🔔🔔🔔👍🙋♂
Randy on your km3km amp and tuner the beep that you love appears to be able to be turned off. I looked at both manuals amp and tuner says that you have to have the button off which is color dark blue. In your video I believe you have the beep button on which is a gold color and says ON. Just looking to help I hope that it works 73's Bruce W4HAM
Hi Randy, when using an Icom AH4 remote tuner, one presses the Tune button on the radio, 7300 here, to tune. Does the Mercury support using the tune button on the Icom in addition to the control on the Mercury? N6ERL
Yes. When the radio goes into TUNE by pressing either the radio’s or tuner’s button, the radio drops to the low power output during tuning. Internal and external tuners work the same. If the Mercury tuner is turned off, the radio’s tuner is the automatically used. Neat.
You manually reset your 7610 to a lower output to tune rather than using the Icom "Tuner" button. Does that mean that this is NOT fully compatible with the Icom Tuner buttons?
I don’t lower the 7610’s power for tuning. When the radio goes into TUNE by pressing either the radio’s or tuner’s button, the radio drops to the low power output during tuning. Internal and external tuners work the same. If the Mercury tuner is turned off, the radio’s tuner is the automatically used. Neat.
Sadly that tuner is missing the most important part 😮the balance feed studs 🤔 what about the smart hams that are feeding with balance feed line to diminish losses 🤔 excluding these hams won’t gain popularity 😊
@@K7AGE thank you Randy but every solid state amp released so far doesn’t and they need to rethink that in my honest opinion ☺️ congrats on the amp, I hear they work great and leave a little head room 😉1kw is all that’s really needed ☺️
