I like the look of the update but we need “smart playlists or smart creates” it would make work SSSOOOO much easier. I get Traktor is producer specified but help the Dj a little
Smart playlists is why i used iTunes (not mixing related - but just to organize my music) for 18 years now. And the reason, i later bought also their hardware - because my whole music was implemented and sorted there. So please NI, give smart playlists in Traktor a go.. it pays out ;)
Cool. love the idea of write all meta data to the track. Now if in the next update we can have a better filing system where we can group what we want genre, tempo key... and save it as a play list or...
I get the individuality but at least stay on the competitive edge, systems are getting better with less effort, same GUI but massive extras, added to updates and expansion packs, even some of the free systems come with the same basic amenities as Traktor Pro 2 and it kind of worries me
Nice! We only need flexible beatgrids and smart playlists now! :D

Im searching on important answer. I read that SCRATCH function is unlocked already but its unlocked also for users which had previously PRO serial number ? Thanks
I am considering buying Traktor pro is there an easy overall way to manually change bpm on this? What I want to be able to do is start a track at 130bpm and slowly reduce its speed to 110bpm over 30 seconds or so. Is that straight forward with this?
Is the upgrade for $50, and update? or is it a full download. I would like 2 separate installs, as Traktor Scratch Pro 2 runs flawlessly on my current laptop. I will be installing TP3 on a separate laptop, and stripping Windows 10 till TP3 is stable.
I just buy the update from traktor 2 pro to traktor 3.1. Only have paralel with 2 decks not with 4 decks do you know why? My controller is 4 decks Pioneer Ddj T1
Hello i have a question, is it possible in 4 deck parallel mode to change the order from 1234 to 3124? That is the same order as the mixer is (CABD) so it is only logical.
I have a Traktor Kontrol S2 Mk2 console with Traktor Pro 2 software. It no longer works on Windows 11. how can I do it? where can I find updates to upgrade to Pro 3?
Can you mix with all 4 faders eg can you sync 3 tracks and have a spare -how if you can how can you see all 4 tracks on the screen ? or do only 2 faders work for music? I use tractor pro 2...and I want to use 3decks and record my mix ..can I do this on this desk ? that would mean sync 3 track all at once thanks if can answer
Hi, I have Traktor Scratch Pro 2 with the Vinyls. 1. If I upgrade to 3 will it work with my audio 10 hardware? 2. I'm concerned I will lose a 200 track playlist I created which has loads of cue points marked. How do I ensure the transfer of this playlist is smooth? I hope you can help as I can't even get in contact with anyone from NI. IF I CANT TRANSFER THE PLAYLIST OVER THEN I CAN'T UPGRADE TO TRAKTOR 3.
Is it worth the £50 quid to update. I'm a big fan of Pro 2, albeit I have to remove and re-install the drivers every now and again due to distortion issues.
Hi, just wanted to throw this out there: I understand that there are limited resources etc. and the following may not be a priority, but I am a strong supporter of Traktor over other DJ software options and I feel it is very unfortunate that the platform has not grown as much as is its potential over the years. I've given a lot of thought to it recently, and I have a few suggestions. It is my understanding that the long-term goal of the "PC" version of traktor is to wind-down development in favour of the "tablet" (iOS) version. I think I read somewhere that this is due to the fact that the PC software has "hit a wall" or something like that. I can definitely see the benefits of replacing laptops with tablets for DJs, but I don't necessarily agree with this direction. Of course I know nothing of what goes on behind the scenes, and maybe tablet software will be able to do what can be done on a PC, but definitely not yet, and not soon. Personally, I feel until that is possible, a priority of the tablet version of traktor should be to integrate with the pc version. For example, on the Mac OS, you can actually use an iPad as an additional screen. Being able to do this with traktor, would be fantastic. Or being able to arrange playlists and cue points etc on the tablet version of traktor which can also be synced to the pc version would also be amazing. In addition to this, one of the main issues with traktor has always been "limited" compatibility with the numerous hardware manufacturers that make controllers. I understand that part of the issue of course is that Native Instruments makes their own controllers... But, as I'm sure you have become aware, unless you have the resources of a company like Apple, it is extremely difficult to do both and not limit your market. I know traktor has awesome midi programming capabilities... And pretty much any knob, button, fader can be made to do anything... But... It is not full integration. There are issues with HID implementation, specialized hardware such as motorized platters, and of course screens etc. What I feel is... If Native Instruments is serious about continuing development of Traktor then it should be a huge priority to either integrate directly with various hardware manufacturers (such as Denon for example), or to change traktor so that it can easily "be adapted" to work on various controllers. This requires much more than A TSI file. Traktor's layout should be much more modular (or even skinnable) to better reflect various controllers, and it definitely should be possible to output selectable screen elements to external controller screens, tablets, or even dedicated solutions such as the Numark Dashboard. I realize that this may require significant resources... But I simply don't see how the platform can survive otherwise. If the traktor cannot be made more modular and adapatable to better integrate with the hardware available, it will not gain market share.
so i just bought a pioneer djm t1 mixer no software .. my question is should i buy traktor pro 2 which i was told to do or get this pro 3 and if so is it compatable to my mixer..... help please
Hey NI Crew. If some is using a external xone 92 for example, what's the best setup to have the punchiest and clear sound without dropping into distortion? limiter on, or off? headroom -3db, or 6db. What's your ultimate reccomandation in order to have the most professional sound out there? personally i noticed without your limiter enable, is ofter picking in red light distortion. Any reccomendation for the 3.1 update?
I'd suggest everything bypassed (so no ticks for master volume, eq gain, filter mixer fx and autogain). limiter on, set to transparent mode and headroom set to "none".
Why its not working again? ((( Native access shows that latest update installed but when I open Traktor nothing is there and it still shows 3.0.2 version. Reinstalled and restarted and run setup wizard 17 times, no luck. Wasted 2 hours which planned to enjoyed with the new updates. Anyone Who installed successfully?
Would be nice to see A B C D stacked on top of each other with paralel waveform on the side ;-) also, why do you install all possible drivers with each update?!??
Hi everybody! i'd like to upgrade my TP2 to TP3 but i'm not sure my Kontroller D2 works properly whit it. Anybody is using Kontrol D2 with TP3? please help!!! tnx
I wanted to add a few things to my previous post... To expand a bit on this whole "modular" idea... The direction of DJ controller hardware is to have the software basically built right in. (Recordbox, Engine). In the end, that's probably where most of this will end up... But this creates other limitations. Ideally of course, all this stuff would be compatible with each other, but that's definitely not going to happen as there are significant advantages for companies such as Pioneer to have their own proprietary software. So, to work around that, you pretty much have to do the same thing. What I'm saying is that, sure, there are always going to be people like me that use the non-standard solutions because we don't mind spending extra time making shit work to use the unique advantages provided by non-mainstream solutions. But that's just it... Your market is very niche. Even if the tablet version of traktor did everything the pc version does now, you would still face the same problems of gaining market share. Sure, you may be able to increase sales in the "starter" or "bedroom dj" market, but there is only so much of that, and competing dj software is getting better all the time... I probably didn't explain the "modular" idea well the first time, so I'll expand on it a bit: In addition to partnering with hardware manufacturers to fully integrate all controls of all-in-one midi dj controllers with a traktor display that reflects the controller... You could also adapt traktor to do the same with more dedicated controllers that are "add-ons" to the basic decks/Mixer. So, for example... The Native Instruments D2 is (almost) the perfect dedicated controller for using remix decks. Make a few changes to how the "browser" function works... And DJs wouldn't need a laptop (or other) display at all. Just arrive at the gig, power up, connect the audio outputs... And don't even open the laptop display... Do everything from the controller. ... And thats what i mean. Sure, native instruments could still make a all-in-one controller (and partner with others that do) to run traktor as the primary mixing software/hardware solution... But that is limited. So what I would recommend is making a dedicated primary deck controller (with and without motorized platters), update the D2 for remix decks, make a whole separate screen "controller" similar to the Numark dashboard for people that have other hardware but want to use the traktor software for track selection/display etc... Maybe even a dedicated loop recorder controller. Whatever. The goal though would be to be able to use all of these controllers in any environment without having to use the laptop at all. Anyway, i could carry on about it for a while Im sure... ;) good luck! :)
Hi my colleagues, is there any interest in Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3? And if I would be very grateful if it could help me some mapping and whether it's possible to have the latest 8-9 effects on the hardware besides these machines, the standard version of Traktor Pro 2-3 does not matter, but I'm sorry the other effects in addition to the Delay Barberpool Regiment etc, or this machine is really a bug to buy, it can not be compared to s4mk3 but I do not have the feeling that it can not be mapped to having more FX besides these hundred machines on four buttons because and S4mk3 has these new separate but imas buttons for other effects that also has on every older controller s2mk2 s2mk1 ... are the same as the software, but this machine is so I dont know, .. help me!
Standalone mode means, that you can use the S4MK3's mixer without having a laptop connected to the S4 itself. You will need a turntable or any other media player of any kind that you connect to the S4's inputs though. This is nice if you are using Turntables at home and want a basic DJ setup for example.
The feature I want most is an autogain function that actually works properly by measuring the LUFS value of the loudest part of track. Traktor's auto-gain has never been trustworthy for me.
Friehs Was it fast/easy to setup with the new features? Im going to be using it for a long set in a day.. and dont want to spend an hour or more messing with settings or hiccups that may happen. I mainly just want the parrallel waveforms lol.
Tom Kaos [Official] just up dated mines Tom, 2 minutes to download and 2 minutes to install and copy your collection and that was me updating the firmware of S4 also
Jessel I hit update on the maschine update about 2 hours ago along with traktor and reaktor 6 update,, both traktor and reaktor updated in minutes but my maschine 2.8 update is still showing as updating,,,,,, 🤔starting to think there's something wrong with it myself
What a pity you didn’t communicate the soon to be added stacked wave forms at the release of the new s4. Because this was not expected at the release of the new s4 I made the switch to rekordbox and pioneer which I likely wouldn’t have switched systems if you listened to your customers feedback way earlier. But better late than never ;)
Actualmente solo deja activar dos modificadores simultáneamente, estaría muy guay que añadieran un tercer modificador activo simultáneamente. Daría más juego en controles midi con menos pulsadores.
