These prices are terrible for a bike. Indian name is no longer being built in the USA and has not been in decades. Thanks but no thanks, I would buy a nice car for that.All that money for a toy for sunny days.

Also, built in America no longer means of superior quality like it once used to. Have you seen American built cars? No, thanks. I'd rather pay more for something made in Japan or Korea. But your point stands, they are charging obscene prices for inferior products. And then they wonder why brands like Harley are not doing so well.

Um, these bikes are 100% Built in USA..... And have been in in each of the different generation.. Polaris has only owned Indian motorcycles since 2011, and been making them sent 2013.

That’s a weird comment, it is built in Iowa. I believe you substitute Harley In place of indian in your comment and it would be true. My dark horse was 26k dollars, I priced a Harley road glide with the 131 (to be comparable with power)and upgraded suspension and it was gonna be close the 50k dollars with labor. It’s a steal for what you get compared to the competition.

In the US, the first digit of the VIN # will tell you where the bike is made: 1,4,5, & 6 it is made in the US. 2 = Canada, 3 = Mexico, J = Japan, Z = Italy, W = Germany. Forgot the digits for the UK or India (if someone could help me out). Royal Enfields are made in India now, technically they just never stopped making them out of a factory there since the late 60s and decided to distribute them worldwide. Harley opened a factory in India because that nation has a 100% tarriff, and they recently made it legal to buy motorcycles with an engine greater than 600cc there. Checking Hogs at the local dealer, none of the bikes made there are sold in the States. Indians are made in the US though, at least the ones I checked.

I truly appreciate your honesty and frankness with all of your reviews but especially this one. This style/price point of bike isn't for me either but I'm still interested to know how it stacks up to its competition.

hi toad, thank for another great review. This may have been asked and answered, but,any future plans on reviewing the BMW R18?

Now this is the rolls royce of the american motorcycles! That indian head at the front is awesome! No, that indian decal on the tank is the perfect size! You see on the indians motorcycles you can see technology, lots of it, on HD nothing! And this one even has a great quiet sound. The only problem is that I do not have the money to buy it!

Well they placed 1st and 3rd. For a bike to enter production 12 months before, I call that a win against all of the competition in that market space. The 2021 made no changes to the Challenger, so I am hoping the 2022 does.
@benmack8359
@benmack8359 3 года назад
@@MrEiniweini yeah I think across the board that innovation and changes are going to be pretty lame for 2021 models of anything. With Covid layoffs and lockdowns, many R&D and design portions of companies simply didn't get a chance to do their jobs. 2022 should be fun.

Too big for UK roads, like most American vehicles. Especially when you are using your bike for the daily commute & definitely not for a biker on a budget. Probably less economical than a big family SUV. However, I think that it must be a fantastic bike if you are into big cruisers.

I ride a 315kg Moto Guzzi California Audace 1400 it's a cruiser but it handles lika a big naked XJR 1300 or GSX1400. And the only time u get stuck in traffic is behind some ADV/adventure turning aficionado trying to be Charlie or Evan with his oversized mental side boxes(most of them are empty most of thr time or have so little stuff that it would fit in the top box!!) blocking off the filtering lanes!!
@WolfgangVonKempelen838

@@_audacerider3838 That makes you a great & brave rider. I don't think that I am that brave to navigate through central London traffic with a big beasts like you mentioned.
@Joric78
@Joric78 3 года назад
Yeah... I can't see the appeal of that at all. I thought cruisers were supposed to be all about form over function? That thing's hideous. Maybe it would look less shit if wasn't brown. Even if I become completely decrepit and want to ride around on an over priced sofa with wheels, I can't imagine why I'd want one of these over a BMW R1250GS/RT, K1600 or even a Goldwing.

I don't care how good it is, it is ugly as a mud fence. Bunch of electronics I would never use. With a face only a mother could love I will pass.

Well the whole idea of rider aids (tracion control, abs) are there to help if you get in to a pickle on the road. Same like anti wheely and all the above on your MotoGP WSBK and sports bikes! They are there fo save your bacon. I will give U power maps /riding modes is a gimmick basically they just make the throttle more snatchy the sportier they get
