Waiting for Indian to bring out the cruiser version without bags and fairing . You could stash the mic in your beard for wind noise reduction ....😅

Great thought, but won’t happen. Like you, I imagine, I prefer a big bike without the fairing. Buy one and strip it! Cheers!

@@guyfuller1369Re: stripping the fairing off to make a street bike. I've wondered why we haven't seen that done yet, actually. Just a matter of time. In cooler climates, that fairing is bloody great, I might add.

On my 2021 challenger I just loosened the triple clamp and flipped the stock bars higher..perfect height for me…easy just need a torque wrench with an extension..no need to remove the fairing or anything crazy

Cheers Guy. I like chrome too but the black really worked on this bike when seeing it in the flesh. Got to see if I can get a Springfield test ride soon ;)

Good news is, the standard cheapest Challenger model is chrome engine, bars, switch gear. I don't like chrome myself, but each to their own, eh

What did you think of it Paul? Im yet to ride one but the wife had one to take home while her cross country was being serviced and she ear marked it as her next bike. She hated the rear cylinder deactivation though. I hoping to have a go at one soon and see the differences between it and the magnum. I quite like the chieftain but thinking this is a different beast

It's a nice bike MM but not me personally. I'd be happier on the Chieftain. I'm yet to ride the Chieftain but I have ridden the Springfield and it feels like it carries its weight lower, plus I much prefer the character of the 116 engine. I've never used the rear cylinder deactivation on my bike, I leave it turned off. I'm sure it would be the same for the Challenger... leave it off until you actually need it. ;)

im unsure if i like the challenger the engine looks like its plastic and the sound is like its somwhere between harley and triumphs bonnie and it seems abit bland paird to the road glide so idk maybe i gotta see one in person

Looks and sound (Road Glide) vs looks and performance (Challenger). Also keep in mind it’s a true liquid cooled engine unlike the Road Glide. Unless you get a CVO the standard Road Glides don’t compare in overall performance. Different strokes for different folks.

RE the front screen not raising, that's a common problem with the Challenger, and Indian WILL honour a replacement which fixes the problem. (I own a 21 Challenger that I bought from Indian Ballarat).

There's an aftermarket rack and pinion set up that's solid metal you can get in USA. It's low production, so I don't know how you'll go. Apparently, you're not meant to adjust the height of the screen at speed as it puts strain on the screen assembly. Whoops 😋. It's a great bike and sounds way better with a decent exhaust🇦🇺

For any Aussies here, Verex in Tassie have a 2 into 1 to fit these as well as the Pursuit. The prototype is on a bike, only the jig making is needed for production. Top notch quality build. 🇦🇺

@@GraemeBlore ring them and ask them. The prototype has been made already and is on a Pursuit . You won't find it on the website though, I don't think s production isn't quite ready, but I see no reason why not to ring them and express an interest

A goldwing is a flat 6 motor, with double wishbone front suspension. This is an American V Twin, with traditional suspension. 2 completely different types of set ups, made to do a similar job. But even though they are a similar size and perform a similar duty, they are very different.
