That really is improved. I love that it's got the touch buttons at the bottom of the screen. And that screw on power connector is much better. It should work with a USB webcam. That large connector could well be RS-232 serial.

I do have the dv stick as well.This setup will be used in the vehicle as i have a problem with RF getting into the ignition system particularly with DMR also to run the DV stick for any length of time is not on as we have rolling blackouts in this country which began in 2008 .
Please go into the Micro USB port sometime and see if it is OTG. If the audio is TRRS combined with an OTG port you could have something there to interface a common FM radio without having to network connect that headless expensive dual band radio.
Zello you only have have to tell the PTT to not run in the back ground to not have it force forward. Or just sign out and exit no need to force stop. But assign the PTT in settings of zello and just select the box to not allow to run in the background.
Hi turning off handle PTT in background has not stopped Zello opening when i run Echolink and Zello the PTT selection says Handle button in back ground this is turned off, signing out or exit makes no difference same problem.
@DIGITAL HAM RADIO DIARY-M0FXB HI bud I have a talkpod N59A and have never had an issue with Zello coming over any other app, I use Echolonk, DVSwitch, Peanut etc and zello is never taking over. Try removing in zello hardware ptt and re adding ptt again, Zello should never over ride any app with the run in background unchecked. I have had many network radios and never had zello take over in many years your doing something wrong buddy.
Well that answers the DB-25 question. What a waste of space on that unit. The only saving grace I could see for that unit to be worth it is for the audio jack to be a TRRS type so I could hook it up to a sound card type TNC interface. Short of that I'll continue with my $30 Android phone. I also plan to try these apps on a RPI 400 running Android.
