New Insta360 One R Features - Do it like  

Yes long awaited feature 🙂

The next feature that I'm still waiting to get is the ability to allow us to switch between photo shooting and video recording mode when the camera is encased inside of the underwater housing. I wrote to them that the solution can be done by allowing pressing the on/bottom once to toggle shooting mode, press and hold would still be remain as turning the camera on/off. Now, let's see how soon we could get that update 🍸😉

I never missed that feature since I always use my „real“ camera for photos. Still, it would be nice!

@@DoktorBEN The feature is there, you just need to lock the touch screen before you put the camera in the housing.

It would be nice to have the comparison insta360 1-inch sensor VS the GoPro Hero 9. This might justify the switch IMHO

Well... yeah that’s something I wanted to do anyway 😄

The 1" sensor will beat Hero9 out of the water for sure. The only feature which Hero9 is ahead of every competitor is their Hypersmooth 3.0.

I’m based in Germany. I never used the X2. I think it works. However, 360 cameras have always the problem that they only work well in very good visibility. With the one R you can switch to the 4K or 1 inch mod in that case. And the the underwater housing goes up to 30 meters. The hosting of the one R 4K mod to 60m. Do it depends basically on the type of dives you do.
