This video is out-dated. You don't need an FPS trigger. For a Tutorial check this video and read the description: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7OxtgVLjSmA.html And for seeing skip jumping combined with Lurches check this: twitter.com/zeddofps/status/1629909170685181952?s=20
Hey guys, This is all possible because the tickrate is low and rendering is coupled with input. If you increase the tickrate of the server the windows for these techs effectively disappears. This is because of how input predictions works; which is one topic too big for a YT comment. I say this because it is likely that respawn increases tickrate going forward which will eat these techs. A lot of pros have been using this for awhile in the form of hotkeys that toggle their frame rate in autoconfig-- which is legal for play. You can also do this from a standstill and redirect backwards. A lot of tech is not public because ALGS players understand the risk of tech like this being banned from play or hotfixed, they all controller or not want tech to stay in play so things get hushed. This game has a bucket full of crazy tech that still isn't known outside ALGS so keep digging everyone! My arthritic hands cannot put much of this to the test so I would keep your eyes open for tweets from players like me, lobotomy, Raven, gnaske. When I find shenanigans I normally send it their way to experiment with.
As long as tap strafing, redirects and super glides stay the same all the other unintended tech can go, but it sounds like this cld destroy things like superglides and zip bouncing/super jumps which wld be very bad for the game in my opinion
I mean most pros, streamers and people with lots of experience already knew this they just didnt think it was something special or name it, so you see ive been doing lots of movement techniques in my games and thougth they were normal but seeing mokey video i reralze theres video and tutorials on how to do it, theres people who do movement without trying like me and many others because i always thougth that was intended but dont know the name of techniques and such, they just do it people are just now calling this new but has been around since the beginning i think because ive done that so many times without realizing.
@@itsalejandroe the same way you consciously forced yourself to do it all the time during a free roam, also consciously force yourself to do it during fights. You'll eventually start using it in fights in a natural way too.
Ahh yes , a newly named move-tech that i will never be able to use but still excited because i cant wait for the apex movement pro content creator using it in their streams and videos
All right hear me out, fade has been doing this for a while now. I don't know if he's been necessarily doing it on purpose, but watching lots of his content. I have wondered how he was able to get certain boosts of speed in such short time frames. I think on some occasions he was doing this as he often weapon swaps and slide jumps as he's running away to reposition
Im pretty sure he has been doing it. He always swaps around his weapons and then immediately holsters them when he repositions. Now it kinda makes sense how hes so fast. I always holster and reposition but Ive never been able to achieve his speed.
that's actually pretty fucking insane we can now sort of "slide cancel" into a guy like we do in cod/wz 😆 unfortunately, weapon swap and raise times are a bit slow in apex
Mokey also forgot to mention that it only works if you're in a country that's part of the EU, in UK, in the US, or if it's between 3pm and 7pm, but not while more than one of those conditions apply! Also it's more consistent if you are bilingual and/or have at least 2 siblings of which at least one is older than you. Also it won't work if you're in North Korea for other reasons.
i get chills whenever i hear "we have a new movement technique" oh hey this one, done this by accident as a laggy crypto and somehow managed as a not so laggy pathy u know i usually holster weapons to do speed as it is meant to be but lately i always find myself switching to a mozambique and not holstering it for enough to cause things like this, i wonder if there's a way to fool the game into thinking ur weapon is both holstered and unholstered at the same time so that u can benefit with every kind of movement technique
I love how he named a slide jump after Faide... Mokey is the best but in all honesty. This new tech is going to be fun to watch. I can't wait for clips of Faide and Taxi now XD
@@Lancer_ ps player as well. I dunno if it’s the lower frame rate or something, but it feels really easy to pull off on console. Could just be gameplay experience.
I recently discovered the Swap-Before-Sliding thing, and it changed my gameplay to better. It's super effective! The skip jump is also very intuitive, and I've already done it a few times. Thanks for, as you said, naming it and sharing what you've found about it!
Hi Mokey. I'm a Season 1 player, and you're my oldest sub. Your pathfinder guides and 'races' across KC helped me so much back in the day. Thanks for everything man. ✌️
after messing about with this in the range I discovered that you can also skip jump while reloading. reloading will change your frames enough to achieve a skip-jump HOWEVER I noticed that it only works after your ammo count changes to 0 from you removing the clip. I found you can press W+Shift+R at the same time, and skip-jump as soon as your ammo count changes to 0
Mokey, the sheer amount of dedication you have to the research of movement techniques and physics in this game is amazing. The fact that you're willing to share your hours of research with us is so awesome. Great work, man.
The pain of having to wait a week to get my wifi working, so that l can grind for 3 days straight to get 1 successful skip-jump x D Thanks for the introduction mokey, l'll look at this video again in a week!
Movement fluidity is what I love about Apex. It makes Pro games so much fun to watch. This new movement tech, I've seen this used by a lot of pros so it's great to see it have a name. I seriously hope Respawn won't nerf the core identity of their game.
Not that anyone is going to believe me but I actually started doing this a couple weeks ago lol I was wrong I assumed this was a different movement technique
5:50 Finding out that the FPS value changing is a major factor in this tech is the funniest revelation to me. Why is the game rendering logic linked to the physics simulation (movement)? It clues me in on a ton of spaghetti code shenanigans, which would consequently mean Respawn would have to commit to _a year's worth_ of refactoring if they want to target this tech like they would tap strafing.
there is no way i would be able to actually do this under pressure, hell i deadslide half of time trying to do a regular slide jump when the 3rd party arrives
It reminds me a lot of the faide slide and or the quick slide after climbing on something, just this is a bit harder but more effective. Edit: Just got to the part of him talking about the faide slide so sry.
Hi Monkey, I believe I have something to add here - the same principle seems to apply from the Faide slide jump. i.e. that you can start the sprint (with your weapon out) during crouch. I tried it, and it appears to work. It means that you can crouch, sprint, skip jump. It feels like the faide slide jump, but with your weapon out. (p.s. I am on ps4).
Those here on console or controller lemme explain, for example i have crouch on R1 and jump on L1, first u got to be consistent with bunny hops or it would be difficult, now for skipjump u have to press frst crouch button and almost (not together) jump button quickly while running and it will not happen countinuous ly like bunny hop as it requires specific amount of time....this will give like a scrambled bunny Hop but as soon as u swap the weapon it should do the trick.....as for me i did a couple times in game and failed a couple times (i m not yet consistent with it) but why not give it a try !!!
I think I managed to do it but honestly..... I still don't get how it actually works after watching it several times LOL so I got a few questions for clarification. 1) Are the requirements for doing it that you aren't moving? Not moving forwards? Or not sprinting? 2) Can you do this after taking out a gun from bare hands? or does it have to be from gun to gun? 3) How does the Weapon Swapping Knowledge portion of the video play into SkipJumping? Or is that topic separate from the actual tech?
Finally someone who just doesn't say : music from epidemic sounds , and actually says the name of the musics . Nice job . But I think the first music name is " 21 till infinity " not " till infinity "
I use the holster trick you talked about at the end to get bigger ledge boosts and wall bounces. You get all the speed and have the gun ready when you need it. I found it by accident trying to get my timing down
I got another one for my fellow wraith mains 🤝. For this to work your ult cant be ready to use/100%. So after you phase there is normally a delay pulling out your weapon. You can cancel that and instantly pull out your weapon by engaging what ever buttons you have that engaged your ult.
When your so good, the apex community gives u a building and a movement mechanic in the game. rFaide is the what aceu was, tho your movement is much better then anyone I seem Monkey
If anyone is trying to do this on controller but cant get the timing down, it is possible to do it to fast, so maybe try slowing down a bit instead of clicking as fast as possible. (P.S. ive been waiting for this video since you told me about it mokey, and im not disappointed at all)
Can confirm. Playing on my Xbox One and I can skip jump without doing a weapon swap. Game "runs" at 60 fps but more often than not when I'm standing still the game goes to 53 fps and just fluctuates between 53 and 52. Once I start running however, the frames start going up and then sit at 60. So idk what the game is doing but the fps fluctuates A LOT. So skip jumping is super freaking easy.
Movement messiahs: Stormen, Taxi, Faide, Lyr1c, Aceu, Timmy, R3kt, Mokey, Taisheen, Albrarelie, Extessyy, Euriece and .....? Missing someone? Or someone not 'worth' the list?
Imagine being a developer trying to test and debug this.... I can't even imagine the conversations. "So it works if the framerate is constantly changing... and it only works while holding a weapon... and it only works while holding a weapon Despite the fact that holding weapons slows you down... and... uhmm... well. I quit."
