New Inventory! Fresh from Tractor Mike's Farm! 1965 GMC Wheat Truck! Back home in Great Bend! V-6! 

I"m 64 when I was 14 with a 16 year old cousin used a 3/4 ton GMC V6 to cut, haul and sell firewood that truck was perfect in my Dad's eyes since loaded or empty would do 50 maybe 55 for 2 teen age boys. That poor old truck hauled wood or anything else that fit in the back, made many a trip to Deer Camp loaded with camping gear, it had one rebuild that I can remember it made thru the 90's before my Aunt traded it in was still running great other than the bushings in the shift linkage was worn out.

My Dad had a '62 GMC 1-ton flatbed that he used in his business. I had a 305 GMC V6, torsion bar front suspension, and 4-speed (granny gear) transmission. I learned to drive a manual transmission on that truck. The V6 was a torque monster, but got terrible fuel economy. They would run forever, though.

That truck hauled some grain in its day!

Great bend was the place to get a truck rigged up back in the day. You had Foster,Doonan, Western truck and Gibson Titus and Stafford

I think the plaid covers were only on the 63 GMC

Worked on the 305, 351 and the 401's. This one is in great shape. Hope it finds a new home.
