I just watched this movie last night on Tubi. Last time I saw it was shortly after it came out and bought the soundtrack. Some of those shots must have been very difficult to set up like Chris Rock going down those stairs in the beginning of the movie with Ice T chasing him. The entire cast all went on to very successful careers. Directed by Mario Van Peebles too. I liked the message at the very end of the credits and am glad I was able to give it all up. Heartbreaking the part drugs play ruining the lives of too many.

I had no idea that old was gonna shoot Nino brown for all the crimes he's committed, for killing his mom who was a teacher and killing pokie when the white guy grinded I could tell that Ice t was happy that justice was served and he gotten his revenge.

Martin Lawrence was originally asked to play in this film but he turned down the role of POOKIE also the woman Phyllis Evonne Stickney who played the prosecutor was originally asked to play POOKIE as well but they got her to be the aforementioned prosecutor instead.
