I myself in Pennsylvania at this time he is all alone, and could use help getting veterans benefits. He can also use her for his healthcare. I live in NJ and it sux, very expensive... among other things... im also a veteran and the state is picky about what they consider a veteran, basically combat vets only, even if you were active duty but never got deployed, according to NJ pension system you aint a vet...
