Fantastic job well done Sherralin 👍🏻 Love how you’ve explained about the Scania putting some driver in there place lol 😆 loved Alicante 😍 it was are go to place when we had a day out from our holiday home in Sucina 😊 Sometimes getting the tram to Benidorm 🤣 It was in the late 80s when I did a lot of Spain 🇪🇸 I’m 66 on the first of April and coming to the end of my truck driving days. I’m lucky now as I only move mobile medical MRI scanners for veterinary referral centres. So coming along with you helps me reminisce on what I did thanks Stevie x
A bit late here Sherralin. But talking about power, the same thing happened to me, albeit a car. I had a 2lt Ford Kuga for pulling the caravan, and apart from that, I've always been used to 2lt cars. The previous was a Peugeot 508 2lt. Anyway, I got rid of the caravan and decided to stay B&B, self catering, etc, so got myself a Ford Focus 1.5, and boy did I feel the difference. I found I was changing gear more often when climbing hills, especially when I took myself off to the Lake District. Have had it now for a couple of years, and I've got used to it. Its actually quite nippy, and fuel consumption is very good as well🤣
hi great video so looking forward to doing same class 1 in Europe now the hard part trying find a job your tour of the Scania 500 was very informative nothing beats great cup tea see had issues with 12v for kettle would an invertor not be better run off 24v that way you can plug in happy new year all best for 2023
Another great video , really enjoy them . Do you see many British rigid vehicles in Europe , have always wanted to do European ( drove down to the south of France &Alicante quite a few times in car ) I am very experienced in uk but would like a crack at European trouble is only got my class 2 license which I have had for about 30 years now trouble is at 58 don’t really know if I want to take class1 , probably need to take it though to be able to get European work . If you know of any uk companies that run rigids in Europe would you mind dropping me a pm . Thank you - look forward to the next vlog
You’re a great lovely driver. I wish you all the best . The only thing i need to mention to you is the dash cam has zoomed in too much . We want to see the joy of your driving. Can you solve that issue please xx
Get the Boss to fit an 2000w inverter under the passenger side of the bunk You can run 2 leads off it to 3 pin sockets and have Tea & Toast for breakfast Good luck with the job
Hi seeing the way that trailer is loaded is just like ups where i used to work in Copenhagen denmark one guy had 1hour 15 minutes to unload and maybe have a little step to use if you we're lucky you never new how heavy the boxes would be from 1kg to 100 kgs plus you we're told to just get on with it they told us there is always someone looking for a job so don't complain but that's the American employer's attitude keep safe have a journey back to the UK.
Remember your V8 had 80 more horsepower and it is a 16 Liters engine. Those 16 liters will give more torque. Your 500 engine is a 13 liter engine, hence lower torque and lower HP, you will feel it. Make a 16 liters 6 cylinder with the same specs as the V8, would make the 6 equal to the V8, actually in theory a little better, but thats another discussion. Have some nice trips.
I know Email isn't the best way to get a job but like bosses getting sick of talking to drivers drivers get a bit sick of phoning ppl. Least with an email u can just ask the basic first question of are you currently taking on and some info about your experience

Heads up when you arrive in Brisbane out customs hall out front of the building head for the signs airtrain its a free transfer to the local air port section one station of the train you will see the building down the stairs find your airline toilets are on the front wall of the building and plenty of over priced food air side
I contacted fellows by email b4 I watched a video of yours but no reply. I met 2 of his lads on santander tub bk to uk. Does he take on drivers often or is it dead man's shoes. I've been on uk waiting for my passport it's been mind numbing but its here now. I'm a single bloke with plenty of international experience and quite keen to get in at fellows even if it means starting on uk. What's your thoughts on that.
According to Scania it’s a “5 stage retarder”. I believe that retarders can also be known as engine brakes. If you Google it I’m sure you will come up with something. I’ll just call it what Scania do.
No I just took it out. Tbh even my coffee head mate took his out. Of no use to me and just takes up space. I’m a tea drinker, I drink coffee occasionally but enough to warrant a coffee machine in a cupboard I can’t reach. A kettle is far more useful.
