The adaptive behavior means the ai controlling the dinosaurs is going to learn and you won't be able to keep using the same tricks to avoid and escape them, similar to the Xenomorph in Alien: Isolation.

You go to where Muldoon's body should be, you find a dead raptor. Out from the bushes steps Muldoon, face all cut up and stitched poorly, but still alive.

Maya Joshi was in JURASSIC PARK, during the scene where Grant and the others see the cryogenics lab from the theater area, and if you look closely, you can see a woman with the same ponytail like Joshi put away some embryos in the cryo chamber.

Can't wait for this game!! Looks super promising and it's nice to go back to the 90's era of Jurassic again!! It definitely is taking a lot of inspiration from Alien Isolation which is exactly what fans have been asking for!!

tresspasser doesn't need a remaster, it needs to be completely remade from the ground up and everything that was missing from the original is put into the game and they should definitely reuse the john hammond diary recordings, as long as the actor's family and estate says its ok

I truly hope that not only does this game come out but that it's GOOD! I'm not expecting alien isolation but with dinosaurs but I'm hoping that we get something close to that and as always great content!

LOVE the fact that they did so much with the dilo - the kitchen scene, the shadow appearing in the visitor centre, the peeking out from behind the tree. Anything showcasing the dilo has me hooked, doesn't get enough love. Will definitely be getting this game.

Not to mention, as shown in the movies, the dilophosaurus is not easily distracted (like when Nedry throws the stick). I'm hoping the AI works in a way that really makes the dinosaurs feel like unique individuals

It would be cool if BioSyn soldiers went to the island to retrieve the canister and I think them being hostile to you could work in a “no witnesses” kind of way

Freezers and walk-in fridges usually have a mechanism link a push-button latch release that activates the latch from the inside. If the raptors can figure out a doorknob then a button shouldn't be an issue.

The T. rex and the flare could be from a later point in the game’s story, where Maya has survived enough dinosaur encounters to feel ready to take Rexie on. Maya starting out in the Visitor’s Center makes sense if she was waylaid there, or nearby and prevented from making contact. It’s the base of operations and the location on the island other survivors are more likely to go to, and indeed did. Jurassic Park: The Game also used the Visitor’s Center as the main opening location for an encounter with the T. rex before sending the protagonists out into the Park and other facilities on the island proper.

Do I dare get my hopes up for the horror aspect we’ve only told tales of? From what you’ve said. Perhaps not. But this at the moment feels like it still carries the vibe we’ve all been after. I’m hopeful. I really am. Here’s hoping. God bless you Klay. Hope you’re well and day is doing good.

I would love a "The lost world: Jurassic park Survival"

You mentioned that the character is scared of the dilophosaurus, but doesn’t seem to mind the T. Rex. Maybe they could add some backstory to that, like her friend or some worker was blinded by one and she’s seen what it can do. That would be really cool, bringing some stuff from even Michael Crichton back for some darker ideas.

Honestly it would have been so awesome to see a similar game set in site b. Like a couple of employees getting left behind during the evacuation of the island and having to find a way to radio for help.

I want to quickly say this, but JP Operations is still being made. It won’t use the Jurassic Park IP and they will rebrand it to “Cretaceous Kingdom”, but it’s still being made. I recommend checking the developer’s video on JP Survival for more information.

I have a theory between her reactions from the Dilos to the Rex. Perhaps she gains more confidence throughout the game and the Dilos are early on while that Rex encounter is much later. That would mean she goes through some level of character development as she survives more and more situations and frankly, that would be awesome.

I'mma be honest, Klayton, I'd also be more terrified of a Dilophosaurus then I'd be terrified of Rexy. Rexy's big, she can be evaded by not moving or using a flare. Dilo's? Man, fuck that, they can chase you wherever you go AND they got ranged attacks.

And as far as the dilo vs the Rex scenario. If you know the Rex is easily distracted by flares and the dilo isn't. Wouldn't that make it a drastically different threat? If argue running is the best defense you have versus assuming you could bully, or scare what may be more than one animal. Idk, maybe I'm just shouting to the void

I am very much interested to see what will happen in this game and I hope it is good. I agree I want a more horror like experience but if this is done well it will feel that way. Good video Klayton, can't wait for the next.

Looking forward to this game it really looks like from the trailer it is gonna feel very Jurassic Park and I am all in for it if this game is successful I would like to see them do another first person game but maybe set it on sorna again and possibly set it during the hurricane that impacted the island.

As someone who grew up with Jurassic Park and didn't enjoy at all Jurassic World, I'm amazed by this trailer. The fact they are returning to 1993 makes me excited as I'm not since 2001.

I hope Survival doesn't contradict the TellTale game too much. It'd be nice to have both games as sound material for speculation. Also, I totally think the suprise threat will be mercs hired by BioSyn. I see stealth moments going on here, maybe leading dinosaurs towards the mercs, maybe getting a gun from the mercs to defend ourselves.

With your point about 'forcing politics'. In Jurassic Park, they had Muldoon who is English, Hammond is Scottish, Henry Wu is American Chinese, John Arnold is African American. Jurassic Park had a multi-national and multi- cultural cast in the 90s. The character of Maya Joshi, by then sounds of it, is British Indian. In a company like InGen that is owned by a Scottish person, it's not a massive stretch that he would have hired staff from Britain, like he hired Muldoon. British Indians are the biggest 'immigrant' group in Britain, and they tend to be very successful. So it's not unrealistic that a British Indian scientist would be hired for Jurassic Park. Your comments are unfair, ignorant and borderline racist. And FWIW I grew up in the 90s in the UK. And her character makes perfect sense.

In terms of weapons I hope we can get maybe a spas 12 or a revolver but we’re limited to how much we use it because ammo is so scarce. We’d have to be very selective on how we use it and that could work really really well in this game.

I’m really excited for this especially because movies can only show so much while following the story but in a game the possibility to see and explore more is opened and being in first person the fear and adrenaline will only be multiplied

Since I haven't seen anyone say it, I will, the rex model is the Jurassic World one, not the Park version and that is still kinda bothering me. Thats like my only complaint with the trailer though.

I'm SO happy this game was announced. It's basically just what I was hoping for a new JP game in terms of gameplay! Actually had an idea that would have an either separate or a fractured story that took place on Sorna as well as Nublar. My idea would have you play a Biosyn agent (or maybe a different similar organization, the games are prime real-estate for world building like that), hunting for Ingen trade secrets when shit inevitably goes wrong. A mix of stealth action and survival adventure... Either way, super hyped for JP: Survival here!

Trevor survived alone just fine in JP3. And the Camp Creataus kids also survive amongst the dinos with essentially no problems. Literally it is canon that you can stand next to predators if you are next to a watering hole. So she shouldn't have too much trouble surviving.

That sounded like you didn't want brown people or women to be protagonists in Jurassic Park, which would be seriously problematic and I hope isn't the case! I'm hoping what you meant is that the character would feel like she's in the 90s and would be more likely to say "that's rad" instead of "that's fire", stuff like that.

I would absolutely love a jurassic park/world game in the mold of something like the game Grounded meets camp cretaceous season 2. Basically a traditional survival game but placed in the aftermath of jurassic park or jurassic world, sounds like a blast.

The flare thing doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me considering that Dr. Grant did it in hopes that it would work so it was kind of a theoretical test so it doesn’t make sense that she already knows what to do

Why are people upset at Maya Joshi's character? I mean, it seems to me that she has a character arc where she's probably going to go from the timid scared little girl to someone who's had enough of this s***. Plus if you look at her wardrobe it does seem right out of the 90s. We really didn't dress that differently. Her glasses are very reminiscent of Ellie Sattler's sunglasses and I think they may have retconned her into the original film. Honestly she looks a lot like Ellie Sattler with a nod to Nedry with the yellow shirt and glasses.

I am hoping for a scary thriller action adventure game. One aspect I really want is the infrastructure of JP. I wanna see more buildings. And structures of the park. But it does seem like this game trailer shows that a lot of effort and detail was put into it. Fingers crossed

Would be great to see a fully grown Dilophosaurus or even a Dimetrodon, (like from the kenner figure trading card sense grant being surprised ) Allosaurus and Metriacanthosaurus hidden some place. Have an option to play has original characters likerobert muldoon etc

I think for the scene with the jump to get away from the raptor and the ither scene with the gate to avoid the t rex, I think that it'll be one of those interaction/timed button presses sort of function. As for the raptor in the freezer, didn't they get out in the movie? There were 5 3 raptors, I thought, and you saw them all before the t rex showed up. For the surprise, wasn't there dinosaurs that became practically invisible in the book but weren't in the movie, or was that from the Lost World?

Most of the stuff in the trailer are just key moments from the movies, the flare is from JP/JW when Alan/Claire want the T-Rex to chase him/her. The flashlight is from the T-Rex escape scene from the OG movie ect.

Im praying the make the dinos learn like alien isolations xenomorph.

I don’t think you’ll be allowed to kill dinosaurs in this game since Isla Nublar doesn’t have a lot a dinosaurs because the Park wasn’t open yet and they just got release and are just starting to breed.

I am not that worried about the concerns of “virtue signaling” or whatever people are concerned about for two reasons: 1. A British/Indian scientist absolutely would probably be employed in the park in the 90’s. 2. Because this game seems to be putting more focus on action-adventure and Joshi might be the only person on the island, they likely won’t hamper it with a forced political message. As long as she’s written well and feels grounded, properly showcasing the fear and tension of being outmatched, I’m okay with it.

I was hoping there would be fun combat like Trespasser. Guess I gotta still wait for indie dino FPS games for that.

Kinda getting Alien Isolation vibes here, and that is getting me excited. I loved Isolation so much fun when you can't just blast your way through everything.

On the subject of if this game will have horror elements to it, there has already been a game that is first person, and features dinosaurs, and is labelled as an action-adventure and its the Peter Jackson's King Kong video game from 2005. That game is not labelled as a horror in any way, but the levels in it where you play as Jack execute its horror elements in such an amazing way that it kinda feels like false advertising. The atmosphere is eerie and gets under your skin, supplies are scarce and need to be used with care, and enemies are ruthless and bloodthirsty. I still remember playing that game when I was around 9 or 10 years old and encountering a big raptor for the first time. Terrified I was. So horror in JP Survival can be done despite not being labeled a horror at all, King Kong proves it.
