I've followed Buddhist teaching s for a while... The NKT was to first to have their teachings behind a paywall. I'm not suggesting or stating who's correct, it's just an observation. Everyone, be careful with your soul, your spirit. Please. Guard it and don't be vulnerable especially if you are new, please.

This article is 25 years old. Geshe Kelsang Ghatso NKT has several hundred centers and is flourishing. The Dali Lama has stopped criticizing the NKT publicly.

Do not believe in what you have heard; do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations; do not believe in anything because it is rumoured and spoken by many; do not believe merely because a written statement of some old sage is produced; do not believe in conjectures; do not believe in that as truth to which you have become attached from habit; do not believe merely the authority of your teachers and elders. After observation and analysis, when it agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and gain of one and all, then accept it and live up to it. 🤔

Spirit worship is in question? The worship of malevolent gods or deities that has religious intolerance towards other teachings. Who is trying to free Tibet? The Dali Lama is retired from political issues.
