This would be a lot better if some of those charge times were shorter. Like ik gigabombs are very strong but they’re not worth a 12 room charge. I also think that if they’re going into the same pool as the r key they should be a lot more op to not dilute it
@@bastian_5975 i don't think that putting bad items in the pools make the game balanced, it only makes it more RNG dependant. IMO it makes the exact opposite: the highs are really high and the lows really low, therefore unbalancing the game
UPDATE: The shift Key now has a use, switch between your normal version and the tainted version... And i censor the entire thing because in that part i asked the people to give suggestions for the item (because in that moment the item was useless), and now that the item has a use, i don't have any other way to tell the people to stop suggesting, because i will not reupload the video just for one change so i just used the blur tool in the entire thing just for that, hehe... Shift Key could have no charge, and every time you use it you get a .1 speed boost for the room. but if you press it to many times it paralyses you, and you get a sticky key popup.
I was thinking that the Shift Key can do the opposite of spindown die, raising the ID number of an Item by 1 instead of lowering it by one, not a very interesting concept but since you use the shift key to capitalize and make letters their bigger form, i thought it made sense

It seems to me that the Shift key can be given the effect of the Space bar, and the Space bar can be given a different effect - a return to the previous level. In my opinion, this effect suits it perfectly (you can call it a "jump" to the upper level of the basement), and besides, it is very useful and opens up a huge space for strategy.
nah, it actually makes sense to teletransport to error room as space bar because the concept itself makes no sense, just like using Blank Card with ? Card, which also teleports you to the error room. Shift instead could do multiple things such as: 1. Change the items in the room to one with better quality (once) 2. Reset the floor but with a different theme (change from cellar to basement) (single use) 3. Change to tainted/normal version (multiple uses, only when unlocked) 4. Reroll the boss fight to a different boss (except when it is mom, it lives, mother, etc, and the harbinger when using book of revelations) Etc.
Why all the 12 charges? I feel like a reusable giga bomb, or going to the alt floors isn't worth 12 charges, the other stuff seems really cool tho! Like, if a reusable huge growth card is worth 6, then a giga bomb is worth 4 that's all I'm saying

Well, at least for the alt key, if you use it on a floor past basement 2, you will almost certainly get a map big enough to recharge it. And I don't know about you, but being able to do caves 1 forever until I have all the items/devil/angel deals i want, sounds pretty damn powerful to me.
You basically guarantee yourself a 2nd Treasure Item Room, 2nd boss item and (if I understand correctly) another Angel/Devil Room. But yeah other item charges don't make that much sense to me.
@@Elsuya_Milo it's more than just that. As long as you are at a deep enough floor that there is more than 12 rooms, you will be able to loop that floor forever, because it doesn't get removed like Forget me now does.
New key idea: The W Key Description: Walk Constantly charges until full, or on room clear. Ability: Does a Pony dash, a White Pony dash, or a Mars dash on use.
Here’s an idea for the shift key. It’ll work kind of like spin to win, where it’ll be a one room charge and you’ll have to hold down the space bar to use it. While the space bar is held down, Isaac’s damage and tear size will go up by an amount that’s significant but still balanced. Once the item runs out of charge you’ll have to wait before using it again. Also I think it would be really funny if they added a trinket or item called “Sticky Keys” which would work like sticky bombs except they’d produce flies and spiders every time a key is used. And as an Easter egg, if you kept spamming the Shift Key item over and over again it would give you the item/trinket.

Shift Key (6 charges): Using the Shift Key uses up one bar of charge as opposed to the whole charge, batteries don't recharge the item. Every use gives Isaac the equivalent of two stat ups for one room/wave (e.g. in greed mode or the boss rush room). Cannot be used twice consecutively.
Alt key seems completely broken and op. I'm not sure if this correct, i should test it myself, but can you go to from normal to alt to normal to alt, etc... never progressing in the run and stocking up items? Because 12 charges aren't that much to fill in a full floor. Altough maybe it's equally as op as R key, so not necessarily a bad thing but a more proper rebalance would be to be a one time use (like forget me now) or maybe 6 uses per run, something similar to notch axe (but with the difference that it doesn't recharges per floor). 6 because that's how many alt floors they are before corpse and womb. I really like the idea, but sometimes many mods im hesitant to download because they usually have one or two op items that don't feel really balanced like the rest. Alt key enters that category. Still, great mod. For shift key i would just give max speed while using, like in many games, it's your default run key. Maybe kinda uninteresting but it fits. A little better of an idea, what about shift key giving you a crouch ability. You lose a lot of range, shot height and speed, but you gain the pluto tiny effect of tears passing above you, it would be an infinite use item so you can switch between modes.
I think it will be balanced if they make the alt key useable only in the normal path, and if you use it you also have to pay a random pasive item you picked up on the floor you use it.
@@L1g7h paying a random passive item to get an forget me now effect is a genius idea. Still overpowered but you would be actually hesitant to losing some of your items.
I think shift should be a rechargavle i frame generator, you have i frames while you hold the button, but it runs out after 2 seconds and is recharged after you clear the room, and also passively recharges slowly. Basically what breath of life could have been.
delete key: DEL "whoops!" single use items, removes enemies in the room and from the rest of the game, works on bosses. end key: END "let's get this over with" 12 charge item. Needs to be recharged, Single use. When in major boss room (Mom, Mom's hearth, It lives, Satan, Lamb, Isaac, ???, Mega Satan, Hush, Delirium, Mother, The Beast) , boss is killed instantly and apropriate ending will play (if "It lives is" unlocked "ending 10" will play instead). This counts as winning the game. home key: HOME "Then she heard a voice from above" single use, teleports isaac to home stage (stage 13), gives isaac knife, replaces his active item for bible and gives isaac 6 random dad's or mom's related items excluding active items and 1 random item of quality 3 or above
If I understand Alt key correctly, its the most broken item in this mode, bcoz you can indefinitely switching between normal and alt floors and pick up as many items as you want (bcoz it isnt that hard to farm 12 charges in one floor, unless if they made that if you go from normal to alt floor and then back to normal you teleport you to the already cleared floor, but afaik it isnt possible to make it like that)
Shift key acts as a mix between death certificate and spindown dice, allowing you to choose between 10+ items in the order they'd shift, being a high cost high reward version of glitched crown. Maybe slightly lower cost or speed to make that 12 charge cost worth it. So basically a less comprehensive buy reusable death certificate, allowing the potential to build cook runs without console commands
there is are two things shift can do 1. Change the level theme to another one, if you are playing on the cellar you will be reset as if you used Forget Me Now but instead of the cellar it will be the basement, if you are in Gahanna you will change to the mausoleum, and so on. 2. shift to the tainted/normal version of the character you are plying, and if you use it before the character is unlocked you will be turned into the lost, even if is locked (and if you use it as the lost you become betterless items as tainted lost)
I think a cool idea for an item for this mod would be the Ctrl key Edit: This is literally the Shift Key in the mod now lololol Switches you between the normal and tainted version of your character
idea: the shift key makes you swap between tainted and regular versions of the character you're playing, e.g isaac into tainted isaac and vice versa it's sort of like a special clicker
*Every other key:* does something that relates to what the Key actually does. (back space bring you back, enter key opens an enterance to the boss rush) *The E-key:* haa haa room go boom
since you press space to press the spacebar item, you practically create an infinite loop of space presses that cause another space press hence why the item was given the ability to go to error rooms on demand
Shift key: One use item. Doubles the effect of the next item you pick up (in the room you activate the shift key) Kind of like turning a lower case letters into a capital. Example: use shift then pick up polyphemus, doubles the damage boost of polyphemus
With the alt item you can essentially farm items since its like a forget me now. As long as it's a 12 room or spawns batteries which, let's be real, most of the time first floors are usually never that long (ignore labyrinth curse)
There should be W,A,S,D keys as well. It should be when you pick up one key whichever corresponding direction the key follows you gain a damage boost, but if if go a different direction the boost disappears. Also if you pick all four then you become “The Gamer” and it boost the damage of all directions
Alt key seems pretty good, But mainly for farming items, So you could complete a floor, and *basically* just ForgetMeNow to the other path for extra items
Shift should make Isaac small like shifting in any other game. Like that one planataarioum item small. He moves slower but enemies cant see him from far away
the shift key could work like book of virtues. pair it with other keys, and use it. the shift key will disappear, but the key bound to the shift will stay. it will give a better version of what it normally does.
Maybe shift key spawns a golden item from the current pool? And a golden item much like a golden trinket has double the stats. The idea is to take the common capitalisation of the shift key but on individual items. Alternatively makes a random pedestal item in the room golden?
Shift key makes - after using of item this” it works on items in room how t isaac. Plus you grow and size down with your stats. Double using in room gives you this size,on which you stopped,when the size roll. on all run
Alt key looks like "Forget me now", but you can use it multiple times, and its better because of the possibility to swap multiple times to the floor you already was, like a ascent in the beast route. Imagine using it there, and get free items in the boss/treasure room.
the shift key should allow you to use your counter part for the room. if it's a B carácter. you change to your normal, if a normal, then, chance to the b side

maybe shift can act as a in-room vulnerability item that allows you to take no damage at all in the room you're in until you leave the room or the enemies in it are all dead
Idea: Alt + f4 key. Idea 1: single use. deletes two future random non-story/endgame floors, gives you all items and pickups from the floors spawns one of the floors bosses in the current room before doing so. Idea 2: destroys all obstacles, kills all non boss enemies, destroys all items and pickups in the current room. 5 room charge
I think a good effect for shift would be to changhe the character between their normal and tainted mode , since it's reusable , it would be a strategic item to use for easier completion marks , and would make for some chaotic and fun runs
IDEA: The O Key: (12 charges, active item, not charged, one use) makes it so once you use it the next active item you pick up will have no charge needed and an infinite use so basically you can spam it till your hearts content (goes good with Head Of Krampus, Crack The Sky, Mega Blast and The Candles (The Candle & Red Candle)

Shift key should upgrade consumables that drop after use for the entire floof 1 key > 2keys > charged key > golden key after use if used after a consumable drops before use it doesnt change
So is noone gonna talk about how the alt key could be heavily abused, basically just being a 12-charge "Forget Me Now"? And the space key is just "Teleport 2.0" but with less hassle.
Perhaps shift key could grant the petrify tear effect, sort of playing off of the sticky keys thing that happens if you press shift 5 times quickly on windows
Shift key coud shift Isaac one room up, meanind he could get transported to red rooms and if he shifts to a space where no room can be maybe he would get transported to the i am error room
